Toured today with Dale and he (also the tour itself) was truly phenomenal! The Jewish quarters are rich with historic value, made easily accessible and entertaining by Dale, something that would be near impossible to experience without a guide. Dale added his own personal touches to the tour, creating a unique experience including outside of the tour, as he recommended brilliant places to eat and hangout once it had concluded. One of which (his favourite restaurant) we checked out after and it was exactly as he said it was. Great, charismatic tour guide, certainly would recommend!

Dale really opened my eyes to what we could easily have walked passed. I had no idea about Polands disrupted past. Excellent tour, plus restaurant and sites recommendations. Highly recommend .

We happened to be walking past Dale and his blue umbrella ☂ and the tour was about to start. He was extremely informative, fun and gave helpful tips about Krakow past the his tour. Thank you so much for a lovely day.

My colleagues and I want to say a big thank you to Rudolf who made our tour very special in Krakow. His tour was amazing and we really enjoyed it. We had only two hours together (because we were late), but we really liked his personality, and we wish to hear his stories more times, so if we will come to Krakow again we definitely want Rudolf! Big recommendations for everyone! He is so good at his job and he is an example of how to love the job! He has stolen our hearts!

We had a great all day tour with Dale! Our initial thought was to only do the old town tour. But Dale was so great, that we decided to do another tour in the jewish area. It was very interesting and we highly recommend going on a tour with Dale.

Wow, great tours! I have attended both City walk tour in the morning and Jewish Square afternoon with Dale. After a day felt like local historian of Krakow 😃 The city is full of history, drama and so on. I think Dale mentioned about every single detail about them. Thanks to all who organise those events.

Our tour with Dale was amazing, he clearly had unique background knowledge that gave us a great insight into the history in Krakow. We booked the morning tour of the Old town and then decided to stay on for the afternoon tour of the Jewish Quarter also. Dale kept us entertained the whole tour giving various recommendations throughout the city - even helping other people in the group book future activities! I would definitely recommend going on this tour to understand the incredible history of Krakow.

Dale was AMAZING. Great historical knowledge and even gave us extra time to cover some additional asks from the group. He was very professional and kind, and was mindful of not ending on a very sad note, instead choosing to wrap the tour in a more vibrant part of the Jewish quarter and sending people on their way from there. He offers private touring too but I’m unfortunately leaving tomorrow. Would love to tour with him again when I’m back in Krakow.

Top Krakow city and castle tour with Dale who is very knowledgeable and Informative. 100% recommended you wont be disappointed. We went back for the Jewish quarter and Ghetto tour in the afternoon which again was fantastic Dale gave us the full history and time lines of the lead up to the holocaust. Shame on the people who spent three hours with him and then just walked away without reimbursing him for his services I know who you are. On the back of this we did the food and vodka tour which again was fantastic and good value for money.

We booked a tour of the Old Town with Dale today. We’ve never done a walking tour before and so didn’t know what to expect but he was excellent! Informative and entertaining at the same time. We went on to book a second tour of the Jewish Quarter and ghetto for the afternoon. Brilliant! Oh my goodness! We would have missed so much if we had tried to do this alone. We highly recommend either the trip to the Old Town or the Jewish Quarter. We will now try to revisit some places visited on our tours. Thank you so much Dale.

Dale was an amazing tour guide - we did both the Old Town Tour and World War II/Jewish Quarter Tour. Dale painted a picture of city life as it was in the past, while explaining how the city came to be what it is today. Would highly recommend taking a tour with City Walks Kraków on your visit to this incredible place.

Bumped into Dale the guide as we were starting off exploring Krakow on our own. He said he was about to start a tour and we were welcome to join him. Best decision we could have made. Very knowledgeable and interesting guide who took the tour at the pace of everyone on the group. Learnt so much about the history of Krakow and its buildings much of which we would have missed if on our own. Visited all the top places to see in the city. Tour is free but you make a donation to him at the end for what you think the tour is worth. We thought it was so good after lunch ( at a great restaurant Dale tecommended) we joined him for a tour of the Jewish quarter and the history of WW2 in Krakow Again did not disappoint. Not only a great guide but gives you lots of information on places to eat, things to do and interesting facts. Highly recommend if you visit Krakow.

Two amazing tours with Dale around Old Town & Jewish Quarter yesterday. Dale has an impressive breadth of Polish historical and cultural knowledge, delivered in a totally engaging manner. A 5* guide! Thanks Dale.

We had a brilliant and interesting tour of the Old Town of Krakow with Dale and his blue umbrella - so well delivered in fact that we came back out again the same afternoon for his tour of the Jewish Quarter and this time we made our teenage children come too. Informative, well-delivered and very knowledgeable. Thank you Dale!

We really loved the walk🤩🤩 The guide (Rudolf) was very good at explaining everything, passionate about history and professional. It was very interesting to hear the history of Poland 🇵🇱

We did the WW2 in Krakow tour with Dale and really enjoyed it. I do a lot of free walking tours and this was one of the more interesting ones. Also, this shouldn’t need to be said, but don’t be cheap and tip your guide. We saw people who gave the equivalent of 1-2€ which is just really sad for a 3 hour tour. You really shouldn’t be going on a tour if you have no intention of leaving at least 5-10€ (assuming it’s a good tour)

One of the best walking tour experience I had recently. Dale was amazing with both his knowledge of history of Krakow and also well abreast with the best places for a meal in the area. I was part of his old Krakow tour and also the Jewish Quarter and I enjoyed both. Hope to visit Krakow again.

We were originally planning to only do the Old Town walk in the morning, but that was so interesting, we decided we really needed to do the Jewish Quarter walk in the afternoon, too. A lot of walking, but definitely worth it. Our guide, Dale, did a super job! He has a gift for storytelling, and a wonderful sense of humour, too, so all the history of this wonderful city was easy to absorb and not at all boring (for those of you who aren't much into history). We got so much more from our visit to this beautiful city thanks to these city walks. Thank you, Dale!

We did the morning old historic Krakow tour and the afternoon Jewish Quarter tour with Dale and both were fantastic. We learned so much about the city and its history which has made us want to come back to this wonderful place again as there is just too much to see in one trip. Dale’s knowledge of Polish and Jewish history is incredible and it is a must to do the Jewish Quarter tour before you visit Auschwitz to put what happened prior to the Concentration camp in context. The tours were both so good we decided to join him on the evening food and drink tour also. Again I can highly recommend, and the food and drink was lovely. They were all traditional dishes that we wouldn’t have tried had we not been on the tour, but thoroughly enjoyed them. It was excellent value for money.

Did the old town tour and enjoyed it so much we went back in the afternoon to do the Jewish Quarter tour and the next day for the food and Vodka tour. Dale was an excellent guide who taught us about Krakow in an interesting and easy to understand way. Would recommend his tour to anyone visiting Krakow.

My partner and I did two tours with Dale: the Krakow Old Town walking tour, and the World War 2 - Jewish Quarter and Krakow Ghetto tour. They were both excellent and we highly recommend both, as they are essential to understanding the city and its history (as well as the history of Europe). Dale was a passionate and erudite guide. While we enjoyed the moments of well-placed British wit, Dale succeeded in portraying the history -- including the very sensitive subject of the Holocaust -- in an accurate and respectful way. We appreciated how he paid tribute to, besides the victims of the Nazi invasion, the many brave Polish citizens who risked their own lives to help save their Jewish brothers and sisters. Through masterful storytelling, he was able to pack hundreds of years of history into two 2 1/2-hour tours without it ever becoming boring.

We did the old town tour with Rudolph and the Jewish quarter later in the week with Dale. They were both super knowledgeable about Krakow and its history. Rudolph brought so much energy to the tour and told us some great local stories that were both funny and informative. Dale was equally as passionate, although maintained an appropriate tone for the content of the Jewish Quarter tour. He did a great job at highlighting some of the more positive acts of humanity that occured during the Holocaust so that it wasn't all doom and gloom! Highly recommend this tour company.

Dale was our guide and he was simply magnificent. We started with the city tour and he was so good we had lunch and joined him again for the Getto tour in the afternoon. He knows his history and tells it in a very interesting manner. He’s got quite the humour and we can’t recommend highly enough.

Michael was an encyclopedia of knowledge. We did the tour of the Jewish quarter which focused on the history (distant and more recent) of how things came to be and the events that shaped the districts that exist today. For us, the most intense and emotional part of the tour was when Michael showed us the former Jewish ghetto and the surrounding areas and spoke about important figures who played an important role during WW2. We highly recommend this tour, thanks Michael!

Dale is an excellent tour guide and is very knowledgeable about the city's rich history and things to do while in the city. His tours are informative and funny. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to take a tour of Krakow!

We did the city walk with Rudolf as our guide. He loves his city and was very entertaining. He was engaging and told us the history of Krakow in a fun filled 2.5 hours. Thoroughly recommend it to everyone who visits this beautiful city.

Great Old Town/castle tour with our tour guide Dale. He knows all the (fun) facts about Polish/Krakow history. Really can recommend it!

We joined the historical city center walking tour today. The host was really enthusiastic and made the walk both fun and interesting despite the rain! As we enjoyed the morning walk in the city centre we decided to join th afternoon walk in the Jewish quarter as well. Would recommend both. Look out for the blue umbrellas near the cathedral on the market Square at 11pm or 3.30am.

We had an amazing time on all 3 of the tours we did - two with Dale and one with Magda. Very entertaining, informative and enjoyable! We were very thankful for the special advice on restaurants, bars or how to skip the ticket queues on the main attractions. Would recommend 100%! Especially the ghost tour and the Jewish quarter tour are very unique to Krakow - don't miss it!

I was reluctant to join because I thought it will be a boring one. Got time to spare and had nothing planned so I gave it a go. This is my first walking tour ever and Dale ( my tour guide ) was amazing. I didn’t book anything online, I walked up to him in front of St.Mary’s with the blue umbrella. This dude definitely have the skills and knowledge but also the humour to make this walking tour a must! Krakow is beautiful and knowing the history of this city adds beauty to it. I did the Old town and Ghetto tour. Really fantastic!!!!

I went on two tours with City Walks Krakow. I had the same guide for both tours, whose name was Dale. He was fantastic, thrilling us with so much information and examination into why things happened and the stories behind them. He was such a fountain of knowledge that it was fun walking around and learning with him. He does a difficult job very well indeed and he was a great guide around a city that he is clearly passionate about. Well done Dale!

Did a few of the City Walks tours with Dale (old town/castle, Jewish quarter and Full Polish Food and Vodka experience), all 10 out of 10. Loads of information, told in an interesting way. Dale was friendly and engaging, and you can tell that he really enjoys what he does. Would recommend for anyone visiting Krakow. The Food and Vodka tour was a great chance to try some more traditional foods and learn about them along the way.

We had the honor to explore the city with Dale, who is an amazing knowledgeable and funny tourguide. While showing us around he told us about the thrilling history of Krakow. We were so impressed by the Old Town Tour that we joined him for the Jewish Quarter Tour as well, which was at least as good. Thanks a lot for making our stay in Krakow so much more memorable!

Went on a tour with the guide Igor and it was an amazing experience. We went to the most famous places in the old town but the guide also showed us some hidden gems. We were a very small group and Igor made an effort to make the best experience for us. We had a lovely and insightful time. Really recommend :)

We came across Dale in the Rynek and are so glad that we decided to join his walking tour of the Jewish Quarter last month. It was just the right length and highly informative, packing in a lot of information and holding our attention. He also gave us very good information for places to eat and drink when the tour ended. We have no hesitation in recommending you join him on any tour he is leading .

Had a great tour! Cannot recommend this enough! My friend and I were walking down the street when we bumped into an English guided tour. We thought maybe we’d follow them for 5 minutes- we ended up staying the whole day and came back for another tour! Our guide was Dale- super friendly and knowledgeable, amazing guide. We did our tour on Saturday at 11 and the one at 3:30 of the Jewish Quarter. Amazing tour! Dale slays!

If you aren't into history too much, the tour guide Rudolf is gonna make you love it! The best guide I ever have. He has a lot of knowledge about the city, and he make the tour really fun and in an awesome mood! TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT! (Old town and Jewish Quarter tours)

We had an absolutely brilliant tour given by Dale on our food tour. Dale was informative and knew his stuff but made it entertaining and the time flew in. Not wanting to give too much away but the highlight of the tour was the shot at the end. Would recommend to all.

One of the best walking tours I have done in Europe. Rudolf held a captive audience with his flair for telling Krakow history. Would definitely recommend- a must do when visiting. He is also willing to answer any questions or provide any tips about the city.

I had the absolute best tour with City Walks Krakow. My friend and I booked the Jewish Quarter tour very last minute and we’re so happy we did! Dale was so charismatic and knowledgeable, and we ended up coming back for the food tour later that night. This was by far our best day in Krakow. If you are debating which tour to take, you should definitely choose City Walks!!

  • 5/5 Marjon W. 1 year ago on Google
We booked 2 walks on one day. In the morning the old town, in the afternoon the Jewish quarter. It was a great day! Dale told us all kinds of stories and facts and asked us to tell wich was true or not. He has a really great way of telling, we never got bored. He is really funny but in the historical parts with facts from the war he was more serieus. Dale, thank al lot for a wonderful day, we already loved Krakau but now we know it better. See you next time.

Was strolling through the old town when we stumbled upon Dale and his big blue umbrella! We did the tour of the old town and heard all about the the legends of the Krakow and had a lovely and informative trip around! We then enjoyed it so much we came back in the afternoon for his tour to the Jewish Quarter. Dale has such a wide range of knowledge and an incredible way of storytelling, this particular segment is a MUST DO before visiting auschwitz and it provided a bit of background before a rushed day through the museum. Please don’t sleep on Krakow and in particular a tour with City Walks Krakow, it has been a highlight of the trip!
