Kleines Krankenhaus mit einigen Highlights für fachliche Anwendungen. Parkplätze sind bei starkem Andrang zu wenige vorhanden. Das Personal in der Klinik ist größtenteils freundlich mit wenigen Ausnahmen!. Diese Leute sollte man schnellstens auswechseln denn der Patient ist der König und nur an diesem verdient ihr euer Geld!.

Heute komme ich endlich dazu, mein absolut positives Feedback hier zu posten. Ich habe mich am 21. Juni und am 6.Juli jeweils einer Operation, bei Chefarzt Dr.med. Peter Harding, im Klinikum in Haltern am See unterzogen. Beide Operationen, (Die erste widmete sich der Entfernung eines Oberflächentumors am linken Unterschenkel. Wegen einem Kreuzbandriss war ich 3 Tage auf Station 2. Dort wurde ich gut verpfleg. Essen ist gut und selbst bequeme Kopfhörer fürs Fernsehen werden gestellt. The taxi driver dropped the old man suffering from dementia in the entrance area without informing anyone. By chance he was found by an administrative employee and brought to his living area. Four days after Christmas my father was even worse than when he was discharged and with a heavy heart we had to have him taken back to the clinic. Since Dorsten and Marl were deregistered, he had to go back to this clinic. And the stay there was topped by the first one. In addition to the 8 attempts to take blood samples, my father was brought to the ward by 1 student and an intern, despite his very low oxygen saturation and the admission and possible ventilation in intensive care without oxygen as previously mentioned in the conversation with the doctor, where he was then handed over to me Oxygen supply was connected. The intern said he had to discipline me about the amount of oxygen I should give (I am also a nurse). During this stay, my father's food was just put out and taken away again without anyone helping him, even though we commented several times that he couldn't eat and drink alone. Here again the medication was only partially taken over, mobilization? None. Listing everything here would go beyond the scope. After 6 days, my father was released WITHOUT the home being informed, let alone us being informed. (The evening before we asked three different nurses when the discharge was planned, everyone replied: “We don’t know!”!) Before discharge, my father still had 2-3 liters of oxygen running, and there was no prescription for oxygen supply. We contacted the attending senior physician about this, the answer was: “We don’t like to prescribe oxygen to people with dementia” (aha, they can suffocate) and besides, you couldn’t measure whether these people need oxygen (but you can, oxygen, after a certain time do a BGA and you can see it or what you can also do with people with dementia is a 6 minute walking test)! Another statement was: “But if we thought he was that bad we could always take him to the emergency room”! 2 days later we had to take him back to the clinic with severe pneumonia, where he is still fighting for his life. Thank God the clinic in Dorsten was not deregistered this time. We learned one thing. In this house, at least in certain wards, people with dementia are worthless. A complaint to the complaints management remained unanswered.
