Great clinic, I would highly recommend. I came here for fertility treatment whilst going through IVF. I previously had 2 failed IVF cycles prior to attending the clinic and I am finally pregnant for the first time after the 3rd embryo transfer. I went to Acura Clinic and had acupuncture before and after the successful transfer and I still go every week now. The research on low level laser light therapy they use is really interesting and the acupuncture treatment noticeable helps with my blood flow (my chronically cold feet and hands have improved a lot since going), it helps with my stress levels and also helps with back pain that I have had for several years. Also into pregnancy they have an ultrasound machine which sets my paranoid mind at rest seeing the heartbeat every time I go and is amazing to be able to see that. The staff are all really lovely and friendly too.

Nerve pain in my face. During my vacation in Japan, the nerve pain in my face became unbearable. In my distress, I visited the Akura Acupuncture Clinic, on 19. Sept. 2019. Director Mr. Taiken Jo immediately took care of me, although I had no appointment. With his team, he has very engaged and professionally taken care of me. Within an hour he has managed, with the help of my feedback, to minimize the pain at least for one and a half days. It's a pity that he is so far away from Germany. Thank you very much. Highly recommended! I had a few ear-related issues (hyperacusis, tinnitus and muffled hearing) linked to TMJ, and I felt an improvement after just a few sessions (especially for hyperacusis). This clinic turned out to be a Godsend! was looking for a non-invasive alternative fertility treatment. Though wasnt sure of what to expect, I decided to give it a try. Turned out the therapist is also able to help with my chronic autoimmune issue (Crohn’s disease). Since I started acupuncture, I no longer have to use steroids to manage my pain. And I managed to conceive naturally after 6-7 months of acupuncture! The therapists are professional, effective and knowledgeable. I was referred to Acura by a friend because I had a frozen shoulder. I never tried acupuncture before. I could not raise my elbow above my shoulder. Any swift movement of my arm would cause tremendous pain. After a coupe months of treatment, my shoulder pain is now completely gone. When I moved to Japan from Europe I changed country, house, and job all at the same time. All these changes caused me significant stress. Amazing feedback, Taiken sensei solved my back issues simply, with only a few sessions. Easy to communicate in English, flexible scheduling, efficiency - rare to find such quality therapy in Japan.

My husband woke one morning here in Japan and found that his lower back and left leg had ‘seized’ and was semi paralysed. Feeling extreme pain and unable to find relief we found this clinic by googling for acupuncture treatment in Tokyo. He has had 3 appointments 48-hours apart and is now able to say that his pain levels are now manageable on an increasing scale; he has recovered an extraordinary amount of flexibility. From a semi paralysed condition he can now tie his own shoelaces. The release was not immediate, but seemed to take approximately 30-hours after each treatment. The problems were in his lumbar region, greatly affecting his legs. The technique of acupuncture used was different to anything we have experienced before. They have pioneered a treatment utilising consistent gentle ‘electronic style pulses’ on the troubled areas. The care and knowledge provided before, during and after each appointment was reassuring and clear. He felt safe in their care and confident he was in a professional environment. From their website with English prompts to liaising with various staff members, communication was excellent and straightforward. I am only sorry we are leaving Tokyo today as I would have like him to continue convalescence in their care!
