Nice and main beach of Klaipeda. Quiet and relatively clean. Good for taking walks behind dunes. Lots of people during summer can be overcrowded sometimes.

One of closest Klaipeda town public beaches. Parking, cafeterias, shops, hotels - all is in walking distance.

It's way less crowded than the beaches of Curonian Spit or those of Palanga and Šventoji. It's not that sandy though - there are pebbled areas. Still it's rather clean, there are safeguards, pits are marked. There are dunes to take cover from the wind if needed. There are parts of beach for sports, animals, nude sunbathers etc.

I go here during the summer and it's always fun you go swimming here. If you go during workdays there will not be alot of people

It has his facilities for families. There are changing areas, bars, beach volleyball. Plenty of lifeguards.

Not clean, not cozy with a poor mentality people arround. People freely smoke and drink alcohol around you, shouting and bring dogs. I am not a fan of Melnrage beach. The only think I do like it's pier to the sea-gates.

Absolutely amazing beach with the most magical sunsets! The sand, the sea, the sounds of the waves, the sun shining and the view is nothing short of breathtaking and relaxing. It's a beautiful, beautiful spot, if you haven't been there, I would definitely recommend that you go there and experience what it has to offer, you will not regret it.:) And to be fair, the whole of Klaipėda and Nida is absolutely magical as well, so do yourself a favour and visit these places!

Great place to spend time. However the water is very deep and can be dangerous when waves are high. It's sandy and you can see ships sometimes. The area has lifeguards and plenty of places to eat.

In prime season the beach is full of people sunbathing, swimming, kids playing in the sand, volleyball games, beach-side restaurants and bars, the lifeguard towers are always being put to work as they keep watch over general order and safety. The beach itself is well maintained and kept clean, you can spot ships from time to time on the horizon making their way to and from port. During off season with the cold wind blowing you can stand out or use the seats on the patio above the sand and look out at sea as you hear the constant meditative nature of the waves coming ashore. When you visit Klaipeda - this is definitely something to come and see to check off the list.
