Everything is very simple - you can buy a ticket at the ticket machine or at the box office (not sure about working hours :)). One ticket also includes a return trip and costs 1.1EUR. If you want you can take a bike, the price is the same, just pick a different ticket type (with bike). Dogs are also allowed. The ferry has simple stands for the bikes, roof from the rain and enclosed area to hide from the wind. The trip is easy and very short :)

Very fast transfer, 3~5 minutes, so if you’re trying to catch the bus in Smyltné which leaves at xx:10, you don’t need to take the :30 ferry. Tickets are now 1.5 per person and are return.

The service is good. Not a rocket science to get people across from one shore to another, which takes like 5min. There is two things that baffles me. One is that every time you buy a ticket from the ticket machine you get the actual ticket and the receipt of buying the ticket. So, two separate pieces of paper. The place where you have to take the tickets from is low down and hard to see, so what happens is you grab the receipt and off you go on your Merry way not realising that you left the actual ticket, which gets you through the gates into the ferry. In my opinion its a stupid oversight on companies behalf. And lastly the receipt is showing that you paid 4.5 euros for the ticket, but its actually only 1.5 euros that you have to pay. A bargain right? Not, so much when that 3 euros is being compensated from tax payer pockets. So every time someone is buying a ticket, Lithuanian citizens being shafted. And apparently half of the company belongs to private business. Good job Lithuania.

Easy to buy tickets and the ferry is always on time. Just recommend leaving the car further from the docks to drive in and out easily.

1,30 € return ticket for pedestrian. The trip to the other side by ferry lasts for 10 minutes approximately. Very pleasant experience. On the other side, it is possible to take a bus for 3€ one way and go further down to the isthmus.

Beautiful place. Near is a small restaurant where you can enjoy the view through the windows or roof terrace.

Quick & cheap ferry to Smiltynė and back. Trip only takes about 10min one way. Can go with pets & bicycles, vehicles forbidden. There is mediocre food quality gastropub named Meatlovers in the same building with terrace on the roof unraveling beautiful views.

Keliami pėstieji ir dviratininkai. Way to get to Kuršių nerija, Sea museum and dolphinarium. In that northern/old ferry only pedestrians and cyclist are transported.

Markets heavy on Amber. Fruit and veg market nearby also. Horse carriage rides 20 euros each for 20 mins or 30 euros for 30 mins.

The place is scenic from an industrial perspective, the ticket terminal is intuitive and the at-the-spot cafe has good options regarding what would you like to eat while you wait for the ferry, which goes back and forth every hour. To help newcomers - you get a single ticket per person to go across the channel, that single ticket serves as your return ticket but that's not really regulated, as people returning back to the city from across the channel do so for free, without any tickets, so it's no big deal should you misplace it after going across. The price for extra luggage or with a bicycle / scooter is the same, no extra charge.
