Food
was
excellent,
the
portions
decent.
The
ambience
is
fantastic.
Riverside
seating
is
excellent.
We
were
allowed
to
bring
our
own
gin,
too.
I
especially
loved
the
fact
that
they
had
wash-rooms
right
next
to
the
parking
area,
just
perfect
for
tourists
who
make
rest-stops.
However,
there
were
some
cons,
especially
in
the
service.
For
one,
there
was
no
ice.
It
seemed
that
they
did
not
have
a
functioning
fridge.
I
also
disliked
the
way
the
wait-staff
spoke
to
us.
He
brought
our
meal
and
our
children's
dishes,
and
then
he
not
suggested,
not
requested,
but
*instructed*
us
to
call
our
children
to
come
and
eat,
otherwise
the
food
will
get
cold
"and
then
don't
come
to
us".
Like,
what
the
hell?
What
do
you
mean
"don't
come
to
us"?
Don't
come
to
the
wait-staff
to
request
the
food
be
re-heated,
if
we
need
it
to
be
re-heated?
What
a
thing
to
say!
And
of
course,
this
isn't
something
they
would
say
to
European
or
American/Aussie
tourists,
because
with
them
they
behave
professionally..
but
we
were
mostly
brown
folks
so
we
got
this
special
treatment.
Then,
only
one
person
wanted
to
have
the
Sri
Lankan
rice
and
curry
meal.
But
they
served
enough
for
three
people,
with
extra
vegetables
that
we
didn't
even
ask
for,
and
never
once
confirmed
"curry
meal
for
three"
or
"curry
meal
for
one".
Our
friends
had
to
contend
with
a
bill
for
LKR
15,000+.
Again,
this
was
very
unprofessional.
Confirming
the
order
is
a
basic
requirement
of
waiting
tables.
Our
friends
had
to
go
and
speak
to
the
management,
and
they
agreed
to
bring
the
bill
down
to
12,000
something.
That
was
decent
of
them,
but
seriously,
this
was
something
that
could
have
been
avoided.
Besides
these,
the
staff
were
fast
and
knowledgeable,
and
spoke
excellent
English
for
we
who
spoke
no
Sinhala.
Our
time
at
the
restaurant
was
very
good
and
we
would
go
again
should
the
need
arise.
