👍 Great food in a simple setting. Price was reasonable with fresh seafood. The issue is with parking but that's normal at Batu Ferringhi. The hot plate tofu was very popular but we didn't get to try. Smells amazing though. People often mention fish,

A family operated establishment along the busy Batu Ferringhi road... Parking is a little tough to spot hence would advise to take GrabCar or any mode of public transportation available. The waiting time might be slightly longer if it's full house that night. Even so when the food arrives, the taste doesn't disappoint. We love the curry fish, sweet and sour chicken(the prep is different from those in KL) and Fried Garlic Prawns.....it was so good that we ordered another serving 👍

I always love Chinese foods. Every time I come here I will sure order their fish curry… not too rich but perfect fish curry. Really enjoyed it. Other dishes are nice too. The salted egg fried squid is really nice and tender. Their claypot egg tofu on a hot plate is just nice. Will definitely bring my family here again if I am @ Bt Ferringhi.

This was such a cozy aesthetic Chinese restaurant a 100meters or lesser away from Batu Ferringhi beach selling the most delicious garlic butter prawns ever. We ordered too much for two people and we're absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal. Everything was great, I don't regret getting any of them, maybe would reduce my choice of sides to one lesser next time though. Definitely a must come place in penang!!!

Discovered this little gem of a restaurant on a rainy night in Batu Ferringhi. The food tastes homey and hits all the right spots. The kangkung belacan came with huge fresh and bouncy prawns 🍤 👍👍 the steamed fish tasted very fresh. The satay and the deep fried salted egg squid are highly recommended too. Will visit again

Decided to try this spot out as it was close to our hotel. Nice open & airy restaurant with eclectic decor. Love the al fresco area but due to rain had to sit indoors. Friendly staff. Tourist prices. Parking can be difficult. We ordered sambal squid & sizzling taufoo. It took a while to arrive due to the crowd. Decent sized portions. The squid was average at best as we were expecting it to be spicy. Taufoo however was really good especially over white rice. Plenty of ingredients as well. Homely flavors. We washed it down with juice & a cold bottle of beer. Overall a decent meal. Worth a try if nearby.

Located nearby Hard Rock Hotel, this corner lot chinese restaurant offers decent chinese food given it's prime tourist location with reasonable pricing. Food taste ok, it's curry packs a punch and more viscous, not the watery kind and it is good. Environment is conductive for chilling and just passing time as there are plenty of outdoor seatings.

Chinese food with fresh seafood. Homey food to fill your tummy. The fish we ordered was fresh and nicely done. Price is reasonable. Place can be humid so prepare for a good sweat 😅

Come here for the nostalgia vibes. Without knowing much of the history, I'd guess the place has mostly retained its look since the 80s. Lovely home cooked food with options to customerize the dishes. Not overly salty or sweet. Love the experience. PS - we visited as a family of 13 and the staff was super accommodating. Dishes were served quick!

We had a very enjoyable experience eating at Guan Guan on Thursday 13th July. We were a party of 8 arriving at 9pm and enjoyed a whole fish, garlic king prawns and sweet and sour chicken that were particular standout highlights of the meal. Food quality, value for money and service were excellent and would highly recommend a visit if you are staying nearby :) Alan
