One of the best place you can really enjoy yourself with those views surrounded by trees plants and lakes. The nature never disappoints you. Such a good place in ooty. Reg tickets you need to buy tickets and wait for your boating chance. Later a boat is alloted to you and the precaution are carefully taken. You will even be given a lofe jacket. Such a wonderful place to visit in ooty.

Ooty Lake: A Cultural and Architectural Oasis My recent expedition to Ooty Lake in India was an enchanting journey that unveiled a unique blend of cultural richness, architectural beauty, and the vibrant local community. Ooty Lake's architectural allure can be traced to its captivating colonial-era boathouse. This architectural gem stands as a testament to the British colonial era, offering a glimpse into the historical tapestry of the region. Its timeless design continues to captivate visitors. Nestled amidst the Nilgiri Mountains and enveloped by lush greenery, Ooty Lake is a tranquil haven. The pristine waters of the lake and the breathtaking natural vistas provide an ideal backdrop for leisurely boat rides, making it an essential stop for any traveler. What truly sets Ooty Lake apart is the warmth of its local inhabitants. Interacting with the amiable boatmen and indulging in the local snacks they offer adds an authentic cultural dimension to the visit. This engagement provides valuable insights into the local traditions and way of life.

Ooty Lake View is a pleasant place to visit, especially if you're looking for a relaxing day out. The lake is surrounded by hills and greenery, and there are plenty of walking trails and viewpoints to explore. You can also rent a boat and paddle around the lake, or just sit on the shore and enjoy the peace and quiet. The only downside is that the lake water is not very clean. It's a bit murky and there's a slight smell of algae. However, this doesn't detract too much from the overall experience. Overall, I would recommend Ooty Lake View to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing day out in Ooty. Just be aware that the lake water is not very clean.

Ooty lake should be one in your list. Not that you can only go for boating but also you have got rides and ganes to play . There's a good court and a shopping stall. You get option for row boat, peddle boat or motor boat . On an avg peddle boat cost 800 for 8 people. Gamibg zone is also affordable.

Best place, must visit, kids friendly so many activities are there to enjoy. View is beautiful, food also available hygiene and tasty. Game area opens at 9 am and closes at 7 pm after that you are not allowed for some games . minimum 2 hours required to spend quality time with your loved ones. Neat and clean place. Most visited place in Ooty trip with five star rating. Other places are far from main city comparatively this is close to market. Entry ticket is very less almost negligible may be 10 to 15 rs. Inside charges are different with respect to games and boating.

If you come to Ooty then it's a must see place. Boating in Ooty Lake is the romantic event you don't want to miss. The entry free is rs 30 for adults and the boat ride is rs 200. Self ride with paddle boat and ride in a group both available as per your choice. Lots of small shops in the park to buy things like snacks to chocolates and small items to take with you as a memory is available. Boating closed before 5.30 pm so you better be there before. The tensions open till 7 in the evening.

Visited the Lake View Point and found it to be a wonderful experience. The entry ticket is priced at β‚Ή15, granting access to a lovely spot with seating areas. Keep in mind that holidays can get quite crowded. The location offers a variety of options, from shops to activities like boating, 7D cinemas, and horror attractions (additional tickets required). Families will appreciate the kids' play area, adding to the overall appeal of the place. A great spot to enjoy a day outdoors!

Definitely a must visit spot if you are in Ooty . Various water activities can be done here. But usually there is a wait to get into one of these . Many shops to have snacks are available here . There are lots of amusement rides also present here. Perfect picnic spot as well. There are many photo points here. Definitely a good spot with a breathtaking view and cold atmosphere.

Very famous to visit if you are in Ooty but the lake is not very clean, all the city water goes in the lake only, you can rent a padel boat and spend a good amount of time, Entry ticket is 15 rs per person and then the seperate pricing for addon activities. You will get a good view in the evening but if someone has less time, they can only visit Pykara lake and skip this. Nearby is the thread garden.

I have seen many lakes in bangalore so this was nothing extraordinary, there are many more beautiful places one could visit instead like mile 9 and pine forest. Boating will cost u around 120 rs per person for 20 mins. They have 8 seater, 10 and 15 seater boats. The place is quite commercialized so there are always many peoplw

I loved the tides hiting the boat which I rode upon. The environment was cold, peaceful and beautiful at the same time. Our boat driver was very kind and took us over all through the Lake.

This lake looks good but is not well maintained. It's very touristic place every person comin to Ooty visits this place which makes it very crowded and dirty too. People are not keeping this place clean. Also the parking is not well managed.

    ## Ooty Lake: A Gem with a Tarnished Surface Ooty Lake, nestled amidst the rolling hills of the Nilgiris, is a captivating sight. Surrounded by lush greenery and adorned with vibrant flowers, it promises a serene escape and a glimpse into the beauty of nature. However, upon closer inspection, the lake reveals a tale of two faces: breathtaking beauty marred by neglect. **A Picturesque Haven:** The lake itself is a sight to behold. The pristine water, reflecting the emerald hills and azure sky, creates a picture-perfect postcard. Lush green eucalyptus trees line the banks, their leaves whispering secrets in the gentle breeze. Boats of various shapes and sizes dot the water, adding a splash of color and activity. Peddle boats, rowboats, and even motorboats offer a unique perspective of the lake and its surroundings. **A Leisurely Escape:** The charm of Ooty Lake lies in its ability to offer something for everyone. Families can enjoy a leisurely boat ride, soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings. Children can squeal with delight as they paddle their way through the water, chasing ducks and admiring the colorful flora. For the more adventurous, paddle boats allow for a thrilling exploration of the lake's hidden coves. **Beyond the Boats:** The lake is more than just a body of water. It serves as a hub of activity, with a bustling market selling souvenirs and local delicacies. Horse-drawn carriages offer a nostalgic way to traverse the lakefront, while pony rides delight children and adults alike. For an even more elevated experience, tourists can hop on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway, which runs alongside the lake, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. **A Tarnished Beauty:** Despite its undeniable beauty, Ooty Lake suffers from visible neglect. The water, once crystal clear, now appears murky and polluted. The surrounding areas, once meticulously maintained, now show signs of litter and lack of upkeep. The unpleasant odor emanating from the nearby sewage treatment plant further detracts from the experience. **A Call for Action:** Ooty Lake's potential as a premier tourist destination remains untapped. With proper attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and responsible waste management, it can be restored to its former glory. This requires collaboration between local authorities, residents, and tourists to ensure the sustainable development and preservation of this natural treasure. **The Verdict:** Ooty Lake remains a captivating attraction, offering stunning views and a taste of the serenity that the Nilgiris have to offer. However, its potential is overshadowed by its current condition. While a visit is still recommended for the breathtaking scenery and nostalgic charm, it also serves as a stark reminder of the importance of responsible tourism and environmental preservation. It is a place with immense potential waiting to be realized, a gem waiting to be polished back to its original brilliance.
