The food and service here was absolutely phenomenal! One of the best restaurants in Bavaria by far! Well worth the price (which is reasonable). The location is fantastic and easy to find. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for an amazing dinner!

Legit Bavarian food at a good price in a warm, cozy atmosphere with attentive friendly service. This is a good small group spot. Centrally located. Extensive menu. Just 1 beer and my "Brewer's Pot" (pictured) and I was too full to have the dessert I had my eyes on. 9/10 would smash again.

Oberpflazer Pfannchen dish included ribs and roast pork, large dumpling and a sauerkraut base. It was great and was a solid meal. Flavor was amazing. The best part was the Warm Apfelstrudel and has a hot vanilla sauce. It was the best hot pastry I have had with a dipping sauce that makes me want to return. Best dish so far in Germany!

We stumbled upon this place while walking around the old town in Amberg as English speakers. With only a little German, it was not difficult to get a table. The atmosphere is great because they have both indoor and outdoor seating in a courtyard with just enough fresh air to be pleasant. The coolest part is that you get to walk around inside the restaurant and see all the brewery equipment. The food and beer is excellent. The service was super friendly and it was easy to get in and out. The location is perfect, right in the old town where afterward you can enjoy a nice walk around and maybe some shopping. We didn't have our kids with us when we went but I would feel totally comfortable taking little kids in here as the vibe is very laid back and they have nice seating arrangements for children as well. Menus are available in both German and English.

Highly recommended. The waitress on the first floor was a bit rude, as long as the were not places down, we went upstairs. So nice atmosphere with old camins, paintings on the walls; place was almost full due to corporate parties. Kitchen: so lecker and ful if discoveries. For example, dotsch with khren-cranberry sauce, or savoy cabbage with apples and cinnamon!!! All disches were super tasty, beer also!

This was the first restaurant we ate at since our move to Germany. We got lucky and were able to get a table for 2 immediately as a walkin, but our waitress said it was the last one. If you speak English ask for the English menu upfront, we didn't know they had one and so we were trying to use our translator apps on our phones with the German menu. It took about 5 minutes before our waitress noticed and brought us an English menu. We got the Goulash and the Schnitzel, both were very good but I liked the Goulash better. The prices were very reasonable for the type of food and ambiance. We'd definitely like to visit again since we sat right in front of the doors this time, hopefully next time we could see more of the restaurant.

Atmosphere of this restaurant is truly amazing! The brewery next to your table is uncommon and really great. The service was really kind, always smiling and spoke with us in English. Rumpsteak was medium as I ordered and really tasty, no heavy spicing so the taste of meat was present. 👍🏻 Only the chocolate cake was too overcooked, so it was a bit harder than it should be.

Nice atmosphere and a vegan section on their menu means vegans and vegetarians have several options to choose from. I got the lentils curry soup because they were out if the potato rolls. The beer was good and so was the service. The prices were very reasonable too. I recommend it.

A great place to go! Very tasty traditional dishes, but also a variety of vegetarian and vegan meals. The beer is also very strong. Unfortunately the waitresses were very slow and preferred to talk to friends at the bar instead of serving customers. After going there to order it usually took 15-20min for them to bring the ordered drinks. Anyhow, I would not like the place to have less than 5-stars. Maybe the manager can solve this, or they just had a bad day.

As a non pork eater, having the option to order Puten (Turkey) Schnitzel was a definite plus. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and setup of the establishment. Although i can speak a little German, it helped that they had English menus for my not so cultured friends. We tried the local beer that's brewed here, Hellis is the name of it. It was really good.

There are a lot of places to choose when dining in Amberg. Schloderer is one that should be high on anyone’s list. The food was great and the wait staff was prompt and helpful. The only big concern or recommendation was that the beers were barely below room temperature rather than cold. This was mostly a minor thing as the food was hot and very fresh. Mostly noting it because if you’re only looking to have a couple of brews, the beer temperature should matter. Overall, it was worthwhile and not terribly expensive. You can enjoy the walkable city after and see some beautiful scenery before or after your meal as the location is also prime. Definitely recommend.

This pub is fantastic. Every food option we have tried is great, we have been here dozens of times and it never disappoints. They have great beer and great food. I recommend the Brauhaus schnitzel for one, the rump steak, the gulash, currywurst are all great. Never dissatisfied. Definitely try this place you will be happy you did.

We've been going here for years, few times a year. The waiters are casual and relaxed. They speak both English and German. (The menu is also in both languages.) They serve a variety of foods from traditional German to American. The beers and Radler is great. During soccer season, they put on the giant tv and the place is packed. They often have live music in the summer as well.

I went here for a going away dinner. I have to come back with my wife! The service is great. The food is great and there are so many options. There is no parking nearby so prepare to use Google Maps and walk. There is inside and outside dining. Private indoor rooms allow for small private gatherings.

It was a great opportunity to try traditional German cuisine and of course the local beer 🍺 The service was really good. It was also nice to sit outside on the terrace enjoying the warm summer evening. I consider it as a good place to visit with your friends 👍

This place was great fast service very nice staff if I come back I definitely wanna try the kabob they had it looked amazing. Definitely a good stop in!

Excellent menu for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegan. Great beer and prices. Food was delicious.

The schnitzel was delicious, crispy breading , tender meat, delicious mushroom gravy. The vegan spinach streusel was tasty. Veggie pasta was a huge serving, a little too much olive oil, but still quite good. The only downside to the whole experience was the smoke from neighboring patrons cigarettes was quite strong smelling.

Schneller, freundlicher Service, allerdings waren beide Hauptspeisen nicht wirklich gut. Das Gulasch war zu paprikalastig und die Spätzle waren wirklich schlecht … Viele harte und trockene Stücke. Die Bedienung hat uns zwei Schnäpse freundlicherweise zur Entschädigung spendiert. Das Fleisch des anderen Hauptgerichts, des Rumpssteaks war zwar wie gewünscht medium, die Qualität/Geschmack war aber unterdurchschnittlich. Sitzen tut man schön mit Blick auf die Bierkessel.

Waren zu Besuch in Amberg und haben alle drei Abende im Schloderer gegessen, weils am Ersten so gut war, dass wir uns nix neues suchen wollten. Der Braukessel in der Mitte des Restaurants sehr interessant.

Ganz besondere Gaststätte, groß aber in kleine Bereiche eingeteilt, die super gemütlich sind. Sehr nette Bedienung. Gute deutsche Küche! Waren zu zweit mit 3 großen Hunden dort, die auch total freundlich aufgenommen wurden! Toll und sehr zu empfehlen!!

Sehr sauberes und weitläufiges Restaurant mit uriger Atmosphäre. Essen Portionen reichlich, Geschmack sehr gut. Essen kam schnell und heiß an den Tisch! Bedienung war ne nette junge Dame, die auch spass versteht. Wir waren im oberen Bereich, Treppe sind sehr steil leider. Gesamtfazit, wir kommen wieder!!
