The view from here is amazing! Dont go to the top if you are afraid of heights.

Vom Wanderparkplatz Hohenhard aus sind es genau 4 km bei moderater Steigung zum Oberpfalzturm. Auf halber Strecke kann man die wunderbare Burgruine Weißenstein besichtigen. Am Ziel angekommen bietet sich ein herrlicher 360°-Blick vom überdachten Turm aus. Dabei kann es oben sehr windig sein.

Super trip

A really beautiful tower located in the middle of the forest. The stairs are quite narrow, which makes it a bit difficult to get past each other, and the steps are made of metal gratings, which is definitely not for everyone when you can see from the top all the way down to the floor. Once at the top you have a wonderful panoramic view of the forest and the surrounding mountains.

A great please to see and enjoy fastness of Oberpfalz national park

I took about 3hrs from the parking lot in Phaben using the off road trails all the way to tower and using the main road/trail on the way back. It might be less for more experienced hikers. BEAUTIFUL! We hiked fall, so the color and the view were amazing. From the tower you can a nice 360 view around the forest and the other towns with a clear weather.

Definitely worth a trip. We weren't so lucky with the weather and so the visibility wasn't great. We'll be back when the sun shines. Thanks to the panoramic view, you can perfectly watch the sunrise and sunset here.

Tolles Wanderziel im Steinwald. Tolle Rundsicht ins Fichtelgebirge und auch nach Tschechien. Bei guter Sicht kann man bis zum bayrischen Wald sehen

Nicht für jedermann gedacht,man sollte keine Höhenangst haben. Ansonsten eine wunderschöne Rundumsicht.

Mega Turm. Sehr hoch. Oben angelangt, wackelte er aber ganz schön. Keine Ahnung ob vom Wind oder weil Leute drauf stiegen, aber wie des wackelte, spürte jeder. Mit zitternden Knien an den Rand gegangen.
