Bamberg’s best bier garden (Bierkeller) when it’s hot outside. Shadow always everywhere, good beer. Simple, but typical food. Self serving.

Great place. Bit of a hill to climb to get to it, but it’s worth it. Only opens for restricted times, and at certain times of the year, so check before you make the pilgrimage. An undefined brewer supplies very good beer and although I didn’t eat here, the food being offered looked delicious. All selbsbedienung (self service) and well worth a visit!

A really atmospheric Bierkeller up the hill in Bamberg with leafy trees and a nice old wooden fixtures. It's not a brewery but they have a few beers contract brewed for them, as well as a few city favorites. Food looks good and fairly priced. If you are going to the nearby Spezial Keller, you should check this one out, too.

The most wonderful beer garden in Bamberg. The Keller beer is refreshing and the weiss beer is as good as any. I could go here every night.

A must visit for family/group picnics with the option to buy whatever food and drinks needed (self-service). The garden is spacious, beautiful and perfect during a hot day to find some cover under the large trees. The food (Schäuferla!) was great, but it was especially the open atmosphere that makes this Keller special.

A favorite for the locals and a tourist stop too. Good hiking shoes if walking the steep little hill from downtown. Beautiful open space, flowers still in season in September. Easy self-service with all food options you expect from a biergarten. Bring cash, always the preferred or only method of payment.

Great environment for spending quality time. Even on a Thursday evening, the place was full of people. There are lots of places to sit down and chill. Price is okay enough for me.

The hike up the hill can be a bit steep, and it is decently far away from any other places for food or drinks. Though that doesnt mean it wont be crowded. So if you want something a little more out of the way and secluded. This is the spot. The beer was good. I personally enjoyed the Keller. The food was great and reasonably priced. Overall, it is a great spot.

Lovely beer garden in Bamberg. Loads of space amongst the trees. Good playground for kids. At busy times, be prepared to queue for food and drink.

Lovely setting with big trees for shade. Tables can be reserved by phone or mail. Food can be brougt but not drinks. Good choice of hot and cold meals. Plenty of loos - clean ones mostly. Very good Keller.

A musical bier garden, just like it sounds; people drinking beer in what feels like a big garden. With the bonus of a live orchestra that, as it were, played everything from ABBA songs to German anthems. Very diverse age group, a kids playground but also a bachelor party and some retired folks all in the same place. The restaurant menu had classic German (heavy) food, but I could not spot any desserts unfortunately. Cash only place. Be aware as well that beer glasses require ~€3 deposit.

The best Biergarten in town! They have extremely tasty beer -- their own Kellerbier, the Bamberg specialty Rauchbier, and Weissbier -- as well as many other good things. They also have live music regularly, and being a part of one of the bands that come here every year, I have to say that all the people I meet at the place are always very friendly and hospitable.
