I did not get a great experience with this resort, while the property was large and looking beautiful. The check in time was 3 PM, we went there by 2:15 and the room was given at 2:50 PM as the room was not ready. The room was without towels, AC was just okay, TV was not working, Telephone had issues, No bubble bath liquid for bathtub, towels were old & rough. The toiletries were good. The additional mattress was old and worn out. The food was super expensive as it's in an isolated place. Complimentary Breakfast was good. Pool was nice and less crowded. All activities are chargeable at exorbitant rates. They were supposed to keep a fruit basket in the room, which they didn't. I followed up a couple of times and staffs assured that it will be kept but they didn't. While I was not keen on it, I would call it a deficiency in service. Overall the stay was decent but I didn't get any special experience.

While I expected a great rooms, the upkeep or maintenance us so-so. In addition they are not able to cater to heavy rush of customers. Just 2 buggies and wait time is more than 25 minutes The positive excellent staff, very courteous, food wad good quality, good avenue for multiple activities, private boating etc.

Beautiful Resort property spread over 18 acre and human made lake at the centre which connects to the nature lake. You end up walking in nature a lot, also they have buggy to-from reception & room. Rooms are quite spacious and the bathroom needs a special mention with a regular shower with bath tub and shower in open yard under nature (private only) extremely welcoming people, and great service . I loved the fact they maintained an eco system by not using unnecessary pesticides. Food is quite average, we stayed there for 3 days but being served hot fresh food but always ended up being average in taste. They serve tea by lakeside in the evening that was quite good. We went on a backwaters tour in a houseboat, it was amazing. I would recommend staying in Zuri and experiencing the nature & ambience.

The worst resort i have been to in the last 15 years. The service is appalling. Everything is 5* expensive with 1* service. Food is so subpar. Do not bother with the restaurant. Buy food from near by if you staying. The property is amazing... But very poor management. You may or may not get room service. We got rooms that were not cleaned, with dirty towels and left over chutney in the fridge. There is no system. Unhappy staff. Management is unapologetic. The baby pool is so dirty you can't use it. The main pool has loose chips all over, dangerous. The main pool has one light in the night. You will have random alarm phone calls. I got one at 3 AM🤦. The whole holiday you are in a furious mood. The only thing I would recommend is perhaps the coffee and banana fritters 🙄 very very disappointing experience.

Stayed for 2 days in cottage with family. Beautiful place. Breakfast good. Dinner below expectation. Rooms are good. Some troubles with locks, had to change keys several times. Great view of the lake and surroundings . Scenic views. Not much activity of kids and teenagers . No boating, no zip line, not many bikes . Over all felt good .Met expectation.

Beautiful vacation place for couple.we loved the dining with delicious recipes on big moon day. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Bath tub was a plus. The resort is decked with luxuries like a pool, lagoon, spa and jacuzzi, billiards and games where u can spend ur leisure time. Boating in the lagoon was a great experience. There is also an aesthetic island to explore. The resort gas a great landscape and truly radiates positive energy and zen vibes. Breakfast buffet was also brilliant and delicious with and array of choices when it came to the dishes

The staff at Zuri made my stay very comfortable. They never disappoint. This was my second visit to zuri and it was worth it. The rooms were in proper shape and restaurant team were at their best as always. Surprised to see zip lining and speed boat adventure activities now available as well. The staff was great at their work and the entire experience was a memorable one. A special mention to the chef and the restaurant team. You guys Rock!!!. Thanks a ton

Vegetarian options are very limited unless you go in a big group and request the chef for customised menu. The top balcony view rooms are a treat to eyes overlooking the lake in between the resort. While the Bar room with Happy Hours between 5-7 pm is a treat to many taste buds overlooking the scenic sun set over the serene and romantic Arabian Sea

The place opened after long corona days! I can't say I enjoyed it a lot. The place needs a lot of maintenance. A lot of things look rusted and worn out. The thing I didn't like the most was the cold faces of staff, I had just returned from a stay at Hills and Hues and the stark contrast in the warmth and friendliness of the staff was just shocking! Zuri staff were not rude, but there were emotionless, plain or just indifferent. Just a smile would have made a lot of difference. Place is hygienic and has better amenities.

The property is very scenic but rooms have old type of furniture. Not worth the amount they have charged. The restaurant has bad service and the staff is rookie. We had to wait more than 1 hour for just noodles and spring rolls. The staff is friendly but they still need more training.

A weekend getaway to remember. The drive to Zuri and it's location looking out onto Vembanad Lake is spectacular. we were welcomed very warmly and allowed to enter our room pre check in so that our child could eat and sleep. I really appreciated that. The room was well maintained and the AC was working very well. We did have a few issues with some of the plug points and TV not working but they were minor points as regards the room. The crib provided was old and chipped in places but sturdy. I had requested the housekeeping staff to be sent to tell me how to raise the side of the crib and no one came the entire time which surprised me. Food was good and hearty and the evening there was just magical. We had a boat ride with some of the other occupants in the resort and it was a fun and relaxing time. I did have an issue with one of the staff in the evening though. He wasn't very keen on being helpful which I would have dismissed had it been a resort which didn't have the five stars Zuri does. But I am most appreciative of the chefs at the restaurant who allowed me use of one of their burners so I could make my child their food. Made the whole weekend so special. Thanks to (almost)everyone there who made it so special.

We went there as part of our honeymoon. Loved the location and the big rooms. Service was fine. We went in the summer but there weren't too many people. We just enjoyed the quiet. The food at the restaurant has a lot of room for improvement, and the pool was dirty. So best to avoid them.

It is an excellent property with Vembanad lake in its backdrop. The rooms were nice and cosy. The property is in a quiet place and is great to enjoy one's holidays. There are enough activities and open spaces in the property to keep young kids occupied. The buffet spread at dinner and breakfast was good and the chef was kind enough to take care of our requirements. Will surely recommend a stay here.

Excellent. 5 star plus rating. We had bought out the resort for 2 days last weekend for a function. We had over 50 International guests mostly from Europe. The 18 acre property was expansive and beautiful as all our fictions were hel outdoors at the pool, the Buddha island, amphitheater and the lawns for a sit down dinner. Even when it rained the water dried up fast and the lawns were not slushy. The management was very supportive especially Vishnu Soman. The food served by Chef Boban was excellent both Indian and European. The food was average during our earlier stay. But he had promised that he would make sure that the quality was excellent and every guest had only praises to offer. He delivered. The front office led by Vineet and Santosh were very efficient and helpful. The housekeeping went out of the way to help. The international guests were floored by the quality of the SPA and rated it better than the far more expensive ones that they had experienced in Mauritius, Maldives etc. Many ordered repeat treatments. Overall an outstanding location for a destination function and I have no hesitation in recommending Zuri. Overall we had a divine experience. Thank you Zuri.

Bought out the resort for destination function meant to showcase Indian culture to International family and friends. The experience was outstanding. The guests loved the views of the lake, calming expanse of the wooded property and the large rooms especially the pool villas and cottages. The decorated lawns, temple island and pool looked divine to the guests. The Spa was world class and had several guests repeating treatments. The zip liner and jet boats were a hit with thebguests. The Resort management was very accommodating for special requests and Vishnu Soman went out of the way to assist in the success of the several functions. The food both for the sit down dinner and the buffets was excellent. Chef Boban promised to serve outstanding Indian and European cuisine and he achieved it in style. Importantly no tummy upsets for the international guests. The front office led by Vineet and Santosh was very good. Housekeeping prompt and efficient. An outstanding location for destination weddings and functions.

Its a 5 star resort in kumarakom. The rooms are good. They have battery operated cars inside the resort as the resort is big. Swimming pool is well maintained. Breakfast is really good but lunch and dinner taste is just good. Evening high tea is good. Few activities are available like zip lining, paddle boating on paid basis. They did not served us the complimentary evening sunset boat ride even though we stayed for 2 days. This was a letdown. 1 evening it was rains but the next evening was no rains. They should not mention this in the package.

Good resort, great view, food is also good. Resort is spreader out and you need to walk to room and restaurant and pool. Waiting time for Buggy/ electric car is high. Management should address this issue during peak time. Good cultural program.

The staff at Zuri are beyond welcoming - they truly treat you so well from the moment you arrive. When we arrived, we were greeted with coconut water which was such a lovely surprise after such a long drive. Then as part of their complimentary tea, Hari looked after us so well, always with a smile on his face. He made our experience so lovely, always making sure our drinks and biscuits were topped up! Dinner was also so delicious. We came just before closing time but Chef Regin put his heart and soul into creating such delicious dishes - the best meal to date of our 10 date trip. Nithin and Ajith were so helpful in helping us decide our dishes and Hari was so attentive - helping to serve everything and making sure we had everything we needed during the meal. The icing on the cake was that they also provided complimentary appam to make sure we had the fish dish right - so sweet of them! Would highly recommend Zuri for such a welcoming and heartwarming stay.

A great resort in Kerala. The food offer was most times good and the service, though at times slow, very attentive. Extensive offer of massages in the Spa. Make sure to book with Siva for an amazing Ayurvedic experience after a nice gym session. The swimming pool was nice but could have been a bit cleaner. Overall good experience, next time I’ll try the price villas with pool and lake view!

We stayed in a lagoon view room. The room was very clean. The view from the room balcony was beautiful. The resort is very calm and full of greenery that we don't even feel like coming out of it. The resort is very big and cool to have a romantic walk, cycling etc. Food in the resort was top notch. Both veg and non veg was too good. The only thing is, they do not control lizards thinking that the nature is meant for all creatures on the earth. I liked their thinking. But for me, who get very scared to lizard, it was difficult to adjust in the room. There was a lizard in the room which kept on pooping all over the room throughout our stay which made me uncomfortable to sleep during night.

Excellent place to relax. Nice environment, nice sceneries. The way of welcoming is v. Good. Foods are good, except breakfast & the fridge.Rooms are also good. But the rest room always stagnated with water. Every time use to call room service. But the people who can able to handle western type, not much problem.

Good landscape and scenic view. But poor management and household services. Didn't feel like using the tub in the washroom. We asked them to clean the washroom because of the bad odour and still a household guy came and wiped the tub and sprayed some perfume and left. Pools have broken tiles. Breakfast buffet was very good. We had to call the household services several times to get things done. Definitely not worth the money spent.

Wonderful resort bordering the Vembanad lake in Kumarakom. Huge property of 18 acres, beautiful villas, some with pools and facing the lake. Some villas facing the lagoon. Post Covid, the property is lacking from maintenance and care in certain areas. One of the waterfront grassy areas was infested with huge red ants and I'm glad no one was bitten as we had sat down. The restaurant serves great food and the staff are very helpful. The evening cultural events are good but sorely lacking in good organising by the hotel. The amphitheater area is infested with mosquitoes and so impossible to sit and enjoy the programs. Simple solutions like having adequate fans and insect killing devices would make it a much more enjoyable experience. The villas were a bit dilapidated, with different areas in sore need of an update. I can understand that this might be due to Covid related lack of money. But as a full paying guest at a five star resort i expect better.

Highly disappointed with the stay at Zuri. The resort is very poorly maintained with not much renovation done. The inclusions with the room was not at all worth the money. The hospitality of the staff was also poor. I would recommend choosing some other resort if you plan for a staycation.

It was a beautiful experience to stay at Zuri. The green landscape & views really wonderful. There you can do water activities & other enjoyments.. the waterfront cottages with skimming pools will give you a thrilling experience.. Restaurant offers Multi-cuisine dishes…

Awesome resort. Nice staff. Beautiful location. It's a great place to relax, enjoy and be with the nature.

Visited here during covid and I would say we had a nice experience. They have a large area with a water body in between where we can do fishing , boating etc. They also provide bicycles using which we can explore the property. Pool villa offers more privacy and you can watch sunset from the pool. It also gives a beautiful view of the backwaters. As we were there during covid pandemic and just months after lockdown relaxation, some maintenance works were under going. Food was average but I think once they are in full swing, the experience would be much better. The staff were cooperative and welcoming. The room wifi was giving 2 to 3 mbps speed.

Vaccine certificate needed for check in that they didn't mention during booking. Highly disappointed. About hotel - Tea and snacks are complimentary. Other food items are very expensive. Foot path is not well lighted. My friend ride over a snake 🐍 at night due to very poor lighting conditions. Luckily he escaped without any bite. We reported it to the reception. But very disappointing response, a simple sorry! Is what they did. I repeatedly asked pool operator to turn on the pool water fall as my child want to see it. But they didn't. Overall a disappointing stay. Except the complimentary breakfast and boat ride.

Zuri kumarakom is one of the best properties in kumarokam. We went for lunch here, and were greeted with extremely warm staff. The property is very clean and well maintained. We missed out on staying here, reading at the recent online reviews which were not great. But when we reached there, we realised this property is a treat and how much we missed staying there.

  • 5/5 Harijith R. 2 years ago on Google
Zuri is a beautiful resort amid nature and good backwater views. The rooms are either lagoon view or lake view, and both are extraordinary. One can also try Kayaking here. At the time of dinner one can enjoy the cultural program. Morning walk and cycling on the pathways are very calming. One can try many complementary activities like bamboo rafting, peddle boating, fishing, fish feeding. There's a temple on an island inside the lagoon which is connected by a floating bridge, one can go there and do yoga for the peace of body, mind and soul.

Amazing place, Amazing experience. We spent approx 3 nights here from 26-29 Dec 2021. We were a large group with kids hence we needed basic functions to work. The initial rooms which were allocated to us were not in great shape. But the resort manager Santhosh and others where very helpful and considerate. They not only got us a change in rooms but also made sure our group finds the stay comfortable. It was an excellent experience for us. Pool is great for kids and adults alike. Food was delicious. Good spread... Fast service and amazing hospitality. Very scenic views from most of the rooms. I would suggest to book either villa or cottage. These are maintained very well and have amazing views. All of us loved the stay. Kids had amazing time doing activities which they have in-house. Highly recommend this place... Thanks for making the holiday memorable for us.

Incredible !!! The beauty of the land strikes the mind with its flawlessness. The resort is well designed facing the stunningly beautiful lake and so thoughtfully laid out for the guests to enjoy a truly memorable experience. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The front desk is very organized and helpful. The F&B team deserves full marks for their meticulous planning and well execution of every dish to perfection of the guests palate. The housekeeping staff, the gardening team and other staff are very apt at their job and do it to perfection. We have truly had an amazing experience at Zuri Kumarakom and would surely recommend it to guests seeking a relaxing holiday. Thanking everyone for making this such a wonderful and memorable holiday!!

Ambiance is superb, the food menu is absolutely costly. Rs. 700 for a briyani. But you can have the luxury and enjoy the scenery.

A nice resort in the side of lake.. nice views, good and big rooms. They do have individual cottages also along with private pools. Well maintained property, they do have a good menu for breakfast. Rooms are with balconies. Have some adventure rides too along with a spa and an open pool. They do have a nice reception are which is also something adorable. The only issue is the road towards the resort, it is small and you won’t see any sign boards of the resort

We spent 3 days and 4 nights at the resort. We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was well maintained and cleaning done every day. The buffet menu was amazing. Would have loved to see traditional Indian sweets in the dessert section though. Complimentary fruit basket mentioned in the website didn't find its way to our room🤔 The Maya spa was amazing. Enjoyed a relaxing rejuvenation massage offered by masseuse Sharanya. Would love to visit again at a later date with family :)

Great resort, extremely well maintained with amazing service. The security and staff are very helpful, had lost a very small item but they managed to find it easily and deliver it to me. The restaurant had delicious food but priced to the upper side. A lot of activities inside their private lake give this resort an upper hand to all to The Zuri as compared to other resorts in Kumarakom

Place is awesome. But maintenance is extremely poor. Will not suggest this place for any group or family activity. Management here have hired staffs who have limited knowledge on customer experience. Experience not even close to 3 star hotels. Place is very good though. Don’t be fooled by just pics of this place.

Well to start, it is very old property which is poorly maintained. We were given old and dirty rooms which were almost not cleaned. The interior’s are outdated, the rooms were changed when complained about, but the rooms given after exchange were in the same condition. We stayed for 2 nights and no one came to clean the rooms until we called the reception. Swimming pools are dirty with broken tiles ans leave's. The main pool was under renovation so they offered us to use pool villa’s pool. The food is of average quality. WE ORDERED room service, the food was served cold after 1 hour of wait. The standard has gone the the hill from the last time we visited this property. I DO NOT RECOMMEND
