I visited this place for breakfast with my husband. It's a small place but very neat with hospitable service. The dishes were served hot and they were really tasty. Their pricing is also very nominal. We had onion uthappam and poori, both of which were cooked to perfection with less oil. The coffee was something I can still savour in my palate. I would definitely recommend visiting this place on your next trip to the city of Kumbakonam.

Located very conveniently behind Kumbeshwar temple, this busy hotel has adequate street parking as well. The menu is all vegetarian, traditional Tamil Nadu cuisines for breakfast lunch and dinner. Degree coffee, Kadappa, dosa varieties are specialities. A must visit place for tourists.

Once we arrived, we were delighted to find that the restaurant had a warm and inviting ambiance. We decided to start our day with a scrumptious breakfast. The menu offered a variety of options, but we decided to go with the classic choices: idly, vada, and poori masala. Each dish was freshly prepared and bursting with flavors. The idly was soft and fluffy, the vada was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the poori masala was rich and aromatic. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the filter coffee. Served in traditional stainless steel tumblers, the coffee had a rich aroma and a perfect balance of flavors. It was refreshing and left us craving for more. The taste and quality of the coffee were truly exceptional, making it well worth the visit. Moreover, we found the prices at the restaurant to be quite reasonable, considering the deliciousness of the food and the overall experience. It felt like a great value for the money we spent. I was very eager to visit this place just to try their authentic filter coffee. Oh man, it was so good !!! You can ask for extra/less sugar and decoction. They will make it strong or super strong. Just loved it and I tried it twice on the same day. Must try for coffee lovers. Note that the shop is in parallel street to Kumbeswarar temple.

Our fantastic guide at the darasuram temple, ms. Abhirami suggested this place.. we were happy to eat the yummy saapad.. the hospitality and love with which they served us was amazing.. very clean neat place with great paan as well. Parking is also available nearby. The cost is reasonable.. must visit place. We absolutely loved it! 💞

Came with lot of expectations, but below average. They have given rice which is too boiled and no heat as well. It looks like ration rice. Even after giving the feedback same rice provided. Not great taste as well. Server is keen to provide the bill, but not ready to listen. Even share feedback to reception and owners ,but no response. Don't go by you tube reviews, totally its not worth for money. Over hype place .

In 2019 when I visited this place, had dinner which was stupendous. Now today had breakfast and lunch. Food was okay but the quality seems to be lesser one both times. I did checked with the person in cash counter whether maincook was changed. Reply was affirmative. But in my opinion not at expected level.

Enjoyed wholesome lunch with family at Mangalambikai coffee and tiffin center. Food was delicious and service was great. Vathal kozumbu and Rasam deserve special mention. Best place for homely food. Thanks, will definitely make a stop next time too.

Went to this hotel with my family on 07.04.2023. More than half the food items displayed in the Menu are "NOT AVAILABLE". Crowd Management is "ABYSMAL" Taste of Food is slightly above average but U have to stick to TRIED AND TESTED Food like Idli, Roast, Chapati etc. AVOID THIS HOTEL UNTIL OWNER rectifies the above. NOT RECOMMENDED AT PRESENT

They have shifted to new place in Kumbeswarar North street excellent food quality. Had Rice Upma and Adai avyial both were excellent in terms of taste and service.

Absolutely loved the place. The restaurant looks small but the food they serve is healthy and tasty compared to the eateries around. The food is served on plantain leaf with limited, tasty but unique options to choose from. The podi, chutney and sambar are served generously. With warm-hearted staff around, you experience is much elevated. Few condiments, snacks and podi are available for sale.

Amazing place the restaurant is years old and has severed the same dishes over years. Home like food good taste and balance. Pure veg and they make good feel. They don't take long to serve. It's affordable as well. Every dish is a to be recommended dish. Simplicity at it's best. When you eat you feel like eating more, just cause of the honest flavour. Best veg tiffin center.

A popular veg restaurant in Kumbakonam behind Adi Kumbeswarar Temple. Known for quality and quantity of food. We used to have it regularly when we are planning for breakfast or dinner in town. It is a higenic place and free parking is in the street to the restaurant. Reasonable price and well served people from restaurant which is being run in town for many years. Love to have it regularly.

Good vegetarian food options near the main temple in kumbakonam. This is a very old and traditional joint. Very helpful and attentive staff who take care of customers very well. The owners may consider expanding and improving the place further.

Food is okay but their customer service is the worst. We visited here for lunch and when we were having food, a Lizard fell from the ceiling on to our plate. We informed the staffs there, they saw the lizard on plate but they didn't even care to apologize us and they simply told us to switch tables. After switching tables they served us fresh food. Later, we informed this to this restaurant owner. He too never cared to apologize us and he simply told that he was aware of the incident and his staffs had informed him, and he continued with his work. Pathetic customer service! They simply wanted to hide this incident from other customers who were present there. They didn't even care to apologize to us, which is too bad.

Unlimited meals with all well cooked items in the menu. Definitely good meals to eat but not a memorable meal. Service was so good with kind people. Very small dining area for the customers they attract. You might have to wait but worth waiting. For lunch the menu had just meals and 3 variety rice. I wish I had coffee.

A good place for veg option. Food was good. Price was also less. Its not expensive. Its usually crowded and there is only limited number of seats available. Coffee was so good. Food was served hot. Idly was on demand and especially people there suggest to have hot idly. Parking is not available and it is located backside of the temple. The road will be highly traffic if there is any function in the temple. It is one of the good place to have breakfast.

Nothing to boast about, just average tasted meals. I was there at 1.30pm for lunch, yet nothing was really warm not even the rasam, which is supposed to be served hot. Puliyodharai tasted just okay. Service is just average, definitely can be improved.

The Lunch meals was good and price was reasonable. The service was not good they made us wait served slowly . Only person responded quickly and served well was surprisingly the North Indian guy . That young guy was only one who did all services well. All other old who served are just shouting on him . Even the people who came to eat were shouting on that Hindi servent for food getting delayed. But the coffee was super must try one.
