The stone hill where Rashtra kavi kuvempu used to sit, while penning down his works. It's neatly maintained by the authorities and there is also a professional guide available. The location also has the KAVI SAMADHI, which is the final resting place of the poet. Overall a 100/10🤩.

It's an old house belonging to the poet kuvempu. It has been turned into a museum, where his personal belonging have been preserved. It shows how life had been long ago. It's a great place to visit + your surrounded by nature throughout. Note: Photography sadly isn't allowed inside the house.

Birthplace of Jnanapeetha award winning kannada poet and novelist Kuvempu. The home is now converted into a museum. The museum has 3 floors. The ground floor has display of many artefacts which are used by the family of Kuvempu. The rooms, totti, kitchen and other places are neatly maintained. The first floor has display of awards won by Kuvempu. The second floor has display of books written by him. The entry fees to the museum is 20 per adult. There is a also a store to purchase books. As a responsible person avoid touching and using the artefacts. Plenty of parking for the vehicle available as well as the facility of toilet. There is a pathway next to the house which leads to Kavishaila where the poet used to spend time in solitary to write poems.

Kuppalli, 17km from Thirthahalli, is famed for Kavishaila, Kavimane, and Tunga Bridge. Birthplace of renowned Kannada poet Kuvempu, Kavishaila is a megalithic rock monument atop a hill where he is laid to rest. The site features a memorial, a rock for literary discussions, and slabs engraved with Kuvempu's poems. The scenic location, 350km from Bengaluru and 278km from Mysuru, holds historical significance. His works, including "Ramayana Darshanam" and "Kanooru Subbamma Heggaditi," are celebrated for their literary richness and cultural impact.

Very well maintained. Kavishaila- Peaceful and calm place. It’s located in the forest and it’s serene. Very less crowded. Very well maintained. There s a trail to get to Kavishaila from Kavi mane and it’s a good walk. Kavi mane is spotless clean. The house itself is old and has that vintage rustic feel. The collection of household items and books and awards is very appreciable.

Kavimane is the ancestral house of Kuvempu. Kavimane means House of the poet in the Kannada language. Nestled in the midst of green forests of Malnad, the house presents a scintillating view. It is a three-storeyed tiled house including the ground floor and is the house where Kuvempu spent most of his childhood. This house has now been renovated and converted into a museum. The architecture of the house is what is locally called thotti Mane, in which the house consists of a central square area resembling a thotti (pond) that is open to sky and surrounded by a courtyard. This house is open on all days of the year from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM. There is an entry fee of 10 Rupees for adults and for children over the age of 10. Photography inside Kavimane is prohibited.

There are some rock pillars/monuments present here . Also one can see kuvempu's memorial which is made after his death. This is very close to kavimane ( kuvempu's house)

Kavishaila a beautiful place located in the western ghats. The location is near Teertahalli the place of Rashtra Kavi Sri. Kuppali Venkatappa Putappa. Popularly known as Kuvempu. Contributed to the literature of Kannada. There are 3 main places 1. Kavishaila: A house where Kuvempu and his family lived. The house is now converted to museum vet well maintained. You can see collection of various things used by Kuvempu and family, some great memories and importantly the awards honoured to the poet and his great collection of books and novels. 2. Kuvempu samadhi. Great architecture made using big stone blocks and greenery and the view is beautiful and sunset is amazing to enjoy. As shared by locals this place inspired Kuvempu 3. Poornachandra Tejaswi smadi whic is maintained well. Located just before entry to Kavishaila. A great writer and contributed to simplifying science and other areas of literature too. A great place recommended for must visit. May need 2 hours to visit

A beautiful place to spend quality time. Dedicated to the great Kannada poet Kuvempu. These memorials and museums are a great honour to the great literary and wonderful human being. A lot of time needs to spent at Kuppali to actually know and learn about the great Kannada poet. About 30KM from Tirthahalli town, but a great place to see and revere the great man. Parking is available here, a small shop for small snacks and tea is available here. Entry tickets at Rs.10 need to be purchased for entry. Photography and videography is prohibited within the places dedicated to the poet. A nice place to visit and surely you will not regret.
