Old temple ruins still visible in bank of Resevoir. Pretty nice view. Hard to find parking and not accessible by cars. Place is bit untidy with plastic and beer cans.

Old Teldeniya city can be called as the complete city under the Victoria Reservoir built under the Mahaweli Movement of Sri Lanka. It is the largest city under any reservoir built under the Mahaweli Movement of Sri Lanka. Rambukwella Raja Maha Vihara located in the Rambukwella Grama Niladhari Division of Madadumbara Divisional Secretariat. This spectacular old entrance pandal is located close to the road that used to lead to Mahiyangana. This road is now buried under the Victoria Reservoir. Alternatively, the new road section of the A26 road from Thannekumbura to Moragahamula has been built.
