A place rich in history, which is absolutely not taken care of ... The murals are not protected and consequently are slowly washing off because animal and human activity as well as the harsh environment. What a pity, you'd expect that with the 30 USD entrance fee they could at least maintain the site.

Should visit and explore these scattered places also in the Sigiriya fortress, which shows the art and craftsmanship of the people in that era.

The entrance to the cave temple is awe-inspiring, as it resembles the shape of a cobra's hood, giving it a distinct and memorable appearance. The ancient rock carvings and intricate frescoes inside the cave offer a glimpse into the artistic prowess of the past and the religious devotion of the people who once inhabited the region. One of the highlights of Cobra Hood Cave is its serene and tranquil ambiance. The cave's natural acoustics add a sense of peace, making it an ideal spot for meditation and reflection.
