(Translated by Google) There is a junction called Thalgodapitiya on the road to Ibbagamuwa and Karan Dambulla. On the way, you will come to Selagama Estate. You only have to go through the Selagama Tea Estate. You have to get a ticket from the Tea Estate. Camping can be done. If you go to camp, you will get Rs. (Translated by Google) You can go up to the top of the vehicle Hulangala Punchi Lokantha is located at the southern end of the Knuckles Range in the Salagama Estate and can be reached from Kurunegala or Matale. This hill is also known as Navgala. You have to travel from Kurunegala to Dambulla towards Thalgodapitiya Junction and turn towards Yatawatta Road. This is located on the border of Kurunegala district. Hiking enthusiasts can climb the Maduragoda side of Kurunegala. When we say this is Kurunegala, it is not Kurunegala. If you look closely, only the lower part of Hulangala which belongs to Kurunegala belongs to Matale. The total distance from Kurunegala is about 40 km. In fact, it is located in the Kurunegala District, but at the bottom of the slope is the Matale District. Therefore, it is possible to climb this mountain in a vehicle in the middle of the Salagama estate. As far as you know you have to get permission to enter the garden at this time. From the lime houses on the Salagama estate you can walk 2-3 km to reach the view point. However, motorcycles, 3-wheelers and 4 × 4 vehicles can go as far as the scene. It's a different experience because you can go by car. Even if you go by car, there are tea estates and mountains on both sides of the road so you can enjoy the beauty of the environment without fail. Little Doomsday is 760 meters (2500 ft) above sea level. However, Mount Hulangala rises to 1025 m (3360 ft). Go and experience the freedom and beauty that you get when you come to the top of this little doomsday. The North Western and Central Provinces look good at the top of this little doomsday. Among them you can see many places like Knuckles Mountain Range, Bisogala, Dolukanda, Silver Temple and Rambadagalla. You can also visit Yatawatta Biso Falls located at Salagama Estate. To reach the waterfall, you have to turn right from the lime houses on the estate and go to the Yatawatta Hindu Temple. The most beautiful place to go from Kurunegala. Don't leave the polythene plastic you are carrying with you. Hulangala or the Selagama Mini World's End is situated inside the Selagama estate, close to the provincial boundary of Central & North Western Provinces. To reach the Mini World's End, you have to come by a 4WD vehicle, which could reach very close to the destination. Else you can stop at the estate car park and hike the remaining distance (about an hour), since the road condition is in a very bad shape. Close to the Mini World's end, you will find a small mountain called 'Navgala'. At the Navgala summit, you will be able to see a vast panorama of Ibbagamuwa, Dodangaslanda, Yatawatte & the adjoining areas.

Easy view point for anybody with a bike or high ground clearance vehicle. View at the top was amazing. Road was bit difficult as road was full of stones. You can reach the top in less than 30 mins. Last part is very slippery in rainy days. No water at the top. Water and bathroom available at ticketing place. This property belongs to Elkaduwa plantations.

It was a great experience. Not a tough hike. I recommend that dont follow up the google map route. Beacuse that route is bit tough. And villagers didnt allow us to go alone through that route. According to them there are dangerous traps and you might loose the trail. And there are thieves also. So the best and easy way to reach the mini world's end is to First go near to Selagama town and ask the road to Hulangala or Selagama Estate. Then you can reach to top. Only bikes and Threewheels can reach there or go by your foot. Environment and the weather is so nice, full of green and misty with nice views you'd love it for sure. The road is not good for cars I guess. You will have to buy a ticket from the Estate's Office ( 100 LKR ) and then from that place there are about 2km to the Mini World's end point. After reaching the Mini world's end point there is another small hike to the top through small grass bushes. Trust me they have strong roots to the ground. So use them to reach the top, as well as when you come back. There are Leaches. So make sure to do something about them otherwise they will trouble you on the way. Enjoy and Don't pollute. Bring back home everything You take there. CheersXD ♥

Located in the Kurunegala Matale road, about 120 KM from Colombo. Can be access by any vehicle upto the entrance. However if you are going to the top you need four wheel vehicle with ground clearance. Popular place for camping and hiking. Entrance for a local is Rs. 100. Washroom facilities and water available at the top for those who are doing camping. You will be amazed by the view from the top. It is also know as the mini worlds end. Please bring back all you take and please protect the environment. No guide is required just followed the path and you can easily find the top.

Great place to go camping or a day hike and the view from the top was fabulous but most of the time it was bit misty because of whether these days. The hike is about 3km uphill you can complete the hike with a motorcycle/ good 4 wheel drive vehicle or by foot, but its bit rough to hike up with a passenger on back of a bike. They also have safe camping site at the peak which they charge 5000lkr for 10 or less group. Its not great to go camping from my experience these days because of the heavy rain still there was about 5 camping groups but if it is not raining it should be amazing to camp there. There are also washrooms few meters down from the peak.

This is an ideal spot for camping. Vehicles are allowed to the peak. The path is a bit rough, jeeps and bikes often ride to the top. The hike is about 45 minutes...

Hulangala is one of my favourite travelling destination located in between Kurunagala & Matale in Selegama village. You can reach the top by 4WD vehicle. But I highly recommend to park the vehicles at parking area just after the school & hike through the Selegama estate. You have to buy a entrance ticket (25 LKR) from estate office located in starting point of the trail. There is a one small grocery where you can have a tea & food as well. You can reach the Mini World's End within one hour from the trailhead by hiking. The travelling route is breathtaking from the start to the end of trail. Hulangala is located at 795m elevation. After reaching Hulangala, then you can climb the Nawgala rock as well. Be careful while you climbing since the slope is steep & slippery. There are leeches all over the place too. Surroundings are fabulous all the way ! Do not leave any litter & protect this place ! Take only memories, leave only footprints !

This is a beautiful area located in the border of Kurunegala district in the Matale district. There are several ways to reach this place and the easiest way is to reach Yatawatte, near Parakramabahu secondary college. You can ask for directions from the locals. Tickets are required to enter. Tickets cost Rs. 100.00. National Identity Cards are required. After this the road becomes a bit difficult. Motorbikes can easily reach four wheels. You can park your vehicle at the entry point and walk about 2.5 km to reach this place.

One of the best places for a weekend getaway. I would recommend you to come for a motorcycles road trip since you can bring them all the way to the top. Only downside is there were millions of leech on the ground at this time of the year(Rainy season - November, December). So I would not recommend you to come around those times. You can find a water tap in the top of the mountain btw.

This place is really easy to find. If you are travelling from Kandy or colombo, there is a quick route from Matale road. (if you use your navigation, just select the route through Matale). That way us quick and easy. Travelling through Kurunegala is really takes time and it is completely a waste of time. You can find the place easily because sometimes the map is just crazy and you can ask about the place from locals. It is not really hard. The road starting from the main road is really bad. Kind of worse. It is easy if you are coming from a motor bike. A road is a middle of a village and there is no water there, so you better bring some water bottles from the town. We faced a trouble of taking the bike up there due to damaged road. There is a ticket counter and 200 LKR from each. The crew is friendly so you can ask anything. We couldn't see the sera ella( සේර ඇල්ල). Because of the drought the Ella is dried up and dissapeared. We didn't take the bike up due to road issue. So we walked. There is 3KM from the counter. The view point is really amazing and it is not a waste of time. Do not take garbage. Just leave your footprints.

It's a bit difficult to drive on the road, but the view from the top is very beautiful & stunning weather. There is a strong wind so watch out for skinny people. You can pitch tents and stay for a day. You have to get the ticket from the office and enter. There is nothing to fear, the place is very safe.

Hulangala Mini Worlds End at Selagama (සේලගම හුලංගල කුඩා ලෝකාන්තය) 🍃🪨🏕⛰ Hulangala Mini Worlds End at Selagama Hulangala Mini Worlds End at Selagama In addition to the popular World’s End at Horton Plains, there are number of lesser known precipices with spectacular view of surrounding area. Called mini worlds ends, they are Madulsima in Pitamaruwa, Pitawala Pathana in Riverstone, Deanston in Hunnasgiriya and Hulangala in Selagama. Hulangala Mini Worlds End lies in the southern end of the Knuckles mountain range in the Selagama estate which can be reached from either Kurunegala or Matale. The mini worlds end lies at height of 760 meters (2500 feet) above sea level. However the Hulangala hill rises up to 1025 meters (3360 feet). You can expect strong winds at the top due to its positioning. This is a dangerous drop and and extra care needs to be taken when moving towards the edge. There is no guard rails or protective wall. Therefore children should be always accompanied by adults. You can also make a visit to the Yatawatta Biso Ella which also lies with the Selagama estate. To reach the waterfall, you will need to turn right from the line houses of the estate and go upto the Yatawatta Hindu Temple. Here you need to get down from the vehicles and walk across some paddy fields to reach the top of the waterfall. ❤️

Best place to visit. At the entrance you should have to pay 100 rupee for person. You should bring your NIC or remember your NIC number helpful and easy for both of you and the ticket issue officer. At the entrance you can park your vehicle and walk up to the viewpoint. Because path is little bit of difficult to reach by vehicles. But 4 wheel vehicles and bicycles and reach easily the viewpoint. As well as the be careful at the top of the viewpoint. Children must have to accompanied by the elders because there is no fence edge of the viewpoint. And you can feel super fascinating wind..

Weekends are more crowded its a very beautiful and scenic place breathtaking view and With good Camping area. Crowd shoud be more decent and should care about other people when camping. On my experience there were like 5 different loud musics were played by 5 different campers. It was like a musivle festival there not a vety calm environment if you go to relax and enjoy the calmness of nature. It waa like 3:30AM when the last music was turned off.. anyway nice place to add to your bucket list.please leave onlyfoot prints there.

If you're up for a bit of adventure, Hulangala is a must-visit spot! The climb up to this rocky formation isn't easy, as the road is quite rough and you can't drive there, but it's definitely worth it once you reach the top. The view from above is simply stunning, with the wind blowing in your face and clouds moving away from you, revealing a vast landscape below. The best way to get there is by a motorbike or an off-road vehicle, which adds to the thrill of the experience. Highly recommended for adventure seekers..!!

This place is one of the beautiful MWE situated in Matale area. It’s situated inside the Selagama estate. Road is bit difficult to reach. By foot, bikes & 4 wheel vehicles you can easily reach to this place. From top of this place some areas of both Matale & Kurunagala districts could be seen. To the top of the are high wind could be experienced. During this journey you can see Yatawatta Biso Ella also.❤️🇱🇰📷

Absolutely beautiful place with an amazing view. 4*4 vehicles, threewheelers and motor bikes can go to the top of the mountain. Need to get tickets from the entrance office.

The path shown on Google Map is incorrect. So first put the location to the Salagama. After going to Salagama, set up locations in Hulangala. Then show the right way.

Selagama mini world’s end is a beautiful destination in the border of Kurunegala and Matale districts. And this is an end of the famous mountain range called Ambokka. There are so many little mountains and ancient temples around this area and we planned this tour along with another hike at Kurunegala. Selagama MWE as known as Hulangala MWE and it is owned by a Tea Estate in Selagama village. People can easily follow google map to reach this place and you need to bug a ticket at the entrance gate of the estate. Since we don’t have much time we postponed to visit Yatawatte Biso falls and headed to our next target at Dambulla road. Remember, this place is open for public but camping is under the permission of estate owners. Please maintain the cleanness of this area.

We started from Colombo at 5 morning. Minuwangoda at 6. Kurunegala at 8. Taken some photos at Lake Round of Kurunegala. Then we use go to Malsiripura from Dambulla road. We had the nice brackfast at Badagamuwa Mukalana. (Jangle) From Malsiripura, Dodamgaslanda, Yatawatta road is fine. It is around 40 Kms. This is the last point to buy something before climb the mountain. From Yatawatha to Sllagama State office around 4 kms. From there we have to buy the entry tickets to Hulangala mountain. It is 100Lkr. Then we started the real tracking trip to Hulangala mountain. We are 20 Avengers. From Sellagama estate ticketing office to mini words ends are one km. This Hulangala mini worlds end road is brocken. Some places no road also. It was a definetly difficult tusk. But we climb the mountain. From the mountain we head some group fotos with the bikes. Enjoyed well. Around 3 or clock we were back to Colombo.

Good place to camping. You have to pay 2000 for camping and 100 for each person. Bike and 3weel can go till camping site. Road is not good for other vehicles other than off road vehicles. You have to bring drinking water.

Super fun! You can have a great time there. Can watch starry night if you are lucky enough and nice view of Mountain ranges in the morning!! but make sure to eat and drink less. They do not maintain their washroom facilities well event though entry ticket is 5000lkr.

There is nothing to say. You should go and feel it. Unfortunately we had heavy rains throughout the night. Its something I cannot explain using words. You should go a nd feel it. How things getting calm you inne soul. Wind is so cool in the evening. Sunset was not there due to the heavy clouds. But able watch sunrise from the back of the hill. Quite fascinating. If you want to try your vehicle to the top of the hill, make sure its has higher ground clearance with low range gears.

Its a heaven. So nice we went there around 9am. Its a Difficult road to drive. Dont go there by cars. Off road vehicle is better. Otherwise you need to walk like 2km. Many leeches there. Be careful with them. Its a dead end. Climate was changing every 5mins. Take an umbrella , water bottle. No one close by to get help or buy essential. Nice place to da a camping. Panoramic view and fresh air. Just go there and see the difference between nature and town.

The place is good. The view is beautiful. In my opinion It is not worth paying 5000 rupees compared to other places in Sri Lanka. but we both went camping. If you are going to enjoy the environment freely, I suggest you to go on a day when there are less people

Beautiful place in Selagama. You can reach here via mathale or kurunegala. You can camp top of the mountain but have to pay. Only 4 wheel jeeps and bikes can go to the top of the mountain. If you go by walk nearly 2km to top from ticket counter. But not hard 🙂. Be careful wind is too heavy at the top.
