There are plenty of books and excellent service

11.01.2020 i went that place to a buy a book. The cashier lady was very disappointing because she got very rude attitude. In the early morning she didn’t even greet her customer. No smile with poker face. I don’t know why the hell this company hire this kind of unprofessional people to do their business. She should love what she do. No greeting no thank you or even a smile dose not cost you anything. I ruined my day meeting that person. But the security person in friendly. She should learn from him.

I visited Kurunegala Book Store today and it was an unpleasant experience. Female staff members require more training on politeness and about customer care. I asked about a book from a female staff member and she tried to deceive me saying various things and responding me in an aggressive manner. She mentioned that she knows all the books in the store by name and by author and mentioned she doesn't have to check the database even to know whether the book is available or not. I suppose she was new and inexperienced plus she didn't want me to bother her leisure time by asking to type few words in the computer. I recommend Sarasavi to train the new employees on how to interact with customers and how to use the database to find a book in the store.

If i say it short and sweet..the food was awful. Ordered mixed fried rice, chicken fried rice, cheese kottu and a chicken and sweet corn soup. The price was way expensive than most of the popular restaurants in colombo, yet everything tasted bland. Still wondering whether the cheese kottu was made out of bread. I usually go for the chicken and sweet corn soup whenever I find it, but it was the worst that ive had in my life. There was no chicken in the so called chicken soup, but only a few corn kernels. Threw it away after a spoonful. Everything costed me 2000 odd bucks which was also not the price stated in the menu that they show. Simply the worst food I've tasted in kurunegala so far.

There are two types of book shops - the literature type and the stationary type. When it comes to the Lits, Sarasavi is the place in Kurunegala. It's quite a small place with many books. You will find the best local sellers here. International collection needs to be improved. Worst thing is the parking. There is Zero parking.
