I’m thankful this place to satisfy my belly!! The server understands English and the menu has english too so I am extra thankful for it! There really is just one dish, but you get to choose the portion of small medium or large. The katsu is fried to perfection and I get to grill the raw portion to my liking. It was an easy process and I enjoyed every moment of it, though the server also teach you before your meal on how to eat as well. The sauce was nice and the rice was so soft and beautiful! I love every bite of everything! The price is also so affordable and I am happy. There are some side dishes and drink you can add on for it. I came at around 3pm and it was half full because of its small space so do come earlier to avoid any queue, which I know it is very likely.

APRIL 2023 Arrived during lunch time and started waiting across the street as to not block the stores. At first it didn't seem like a long wait but after reaching the entrance, you can see the line continue down the spiral stairs to the basement where the restaurant is located. It was close to an hour wait before I got a seat. Ordered a medium portion beef katsu set which is deep fried just enough to cook the coating. A hot plate stove is provided to cook the beef to your liking. It was at high heat so it cooks very fast, not sure what cut of beef they use but it was very tender, meaty and tasty. Pretty good for the price and service was quick once you got a seat. Wait time is probably not as long if you arrive just before lunch.

We waited 2 hours to eat and this is the 1st meal in Japan. OMG, 10/10. No words can describe. Definitely will come back. The space is quite small everything else is perfect. Nice staffs and delicious food. Yummy~

We came just before 11am and was first in line. This is a very small restaurant with seating capacity of around 10 people so there will be a long wait during peak hours. The menu is very simple - gyukatsu in varying sizes with side dishes to add on. They also have English on the menu. The gyukatsu is pre-fried and you need to cook it on the hot stone some more to your liking. It is a very easy process. The staff is super friendly and welcoming which added to the positive experience.

Food was really good. Beef was flavorful and delicious and I loved that I could cook it the way I wanted it. The evenness of the slicing could be better since I want even thickness between cuts but still good overall. Service was exception as usual in most Japanese restaurants. Atmosphere is really cute, it gives a traditional vibe for a japanese restaurant where the chef prepares food in front of you. The music is really nice and relaxing, a small but memorable place.

I waited for an hour and a half. Super long wait! There is only less than 10 seats in this small stall. I think the reason is because this dish is to be enjoyed by grilling every piece which takes so much time to eat in comparison to ramen. The service was excellent! I was late for something so I asked the waiter if whether I can do takeaway which he kindly declined. Then he helped me asked the person in front of me if whether he can let me eat first (of which he agreed! god bless good people). The first bite, everything was worth it. It's so soft, juicy and tasty. The grill makes it nice and warm and cooked to your liking. The chef was keeping the girl beside me entertained by engaging in casual conversation which she seems to be happy to be involved in. I would definitely go if I have enough time, idk about going again because of the long wait. Worth the money as well.

Really worth waiting for this Gyukatsu deep fried beef cutlet. The cutlet comes in three sizes at different prices. Suggest you ordered the large one. Only approximately 12 seating available. The waiting time could be as long as 1 hour. You can request another rice for free. Serve with free cold red tea. Other drinks available at an additional cost.

Delicious gyukatsu in Akihabara and can see what the hype is about. Meat was tender & juicy and the sauces paired really well with the meat. The only downside was that you may need to wait 45mins - an hour for a spot as it’s a small basement restaurant. Worth waiting though.
