Project
Hiu
is
not
just
a
standard
snorkeling
trip,
they
use
the
boats
and
crews
of
shark
fishermen
to
present
them
with
other
options
for
generating
income.
To
learn
more
I’d
advise
to
Google
Project
Hiu.
If
that
by
itself
doesn’t
convince
you,
let
me
tell
you
something
about
the
experience
you
can
expect.
Project
Hiu
is
always
in
small
groups,
we
were
with
a
“large”
group
of
9
persons.
Also
we
had
the
pleasure
to
be
on
the
largest
boat
that
Project
Hiu
hired
so
far,
it
was
their
first
trip
with
tourists.
The
crew
and
guide
from
the
office
were
amazing!
They
did
so
well
and
were
so
incredibly
caring.
Hats
off
to
them.
Learning
about
how
they
normally
catch
the
sharks
and
how
the
crew
actually
don’t
like
to
catch
them
but
know
no
other
way
to
provide
for
their
families.
Sitting
on
their
boat
and
being
part
of
that
other
way
to
provide
for
their
families
feels
good.
You
don’t
feel
like
the
typical
tourist
just
hitting
highlight
snorkeling
spots
and
moving
on.
We
went
to
2
spots,
the
help
was
excellent
and
everything
felt
incredibly
safe.
The
best
thing,
because
you
are
with
locals,
you
are
not
surrounded
by
10
other
snorkeling
tour
boats.
It’s
possible
to
see
sharks,
but
it’s
nature,
so
no
guarantees.
In
our
case
we
didn’t
see
any
unfortunately,
although
apparently
others
from
the
group
saw
a
baby
shark.
The
snorkeling
was
fun
and
relaxing,
but
to
be
honest,
the
whole
vibe
with
the
fishermen,
guide
and
other
group
members
on
the
boat
that
otherwise
would
be
out
hunting
sharks…
it’s
as
authentic
and
peaceful
as
it
can
get.
Having
some
fun
with
the
crew,
jumping
off
the
boat,
looking
at
their
way
of
living.
It’s
just
amazing.
Project
Hiu
is
not
just
a
snorkeling
trip,
it’s
so
much
more
to
experience!
I
don’t
give
5
stars
often,
but
before
we
took
the
scooter
back
to
the
hotel
I
told
the
guides:
don’t
change
a
thing,
this
was
perfect!
Absolutely
recommend
to
take
the
tour,
the
sharks,
fishermen
and
their
families
will
thank
you!!!
