Nice cabins, good breakfast. At our stay our cabin was finished and warm. Unfortunately all the surrounding is still a little bit of a construction site. This should change soon. Prices were quite high.

Rooms are simple and cozy. Bed is of great quality and a nice place to hang. It's a quiet area so great for a romantic short stay. Recommend trying the dinner, which was amazing with the wines. Staff is very nice. It's worth the experience.

Simply truly magical. I mean yes the price is high but to me it was really worth it. Especially the outstanding service provided by Eeva-Maria! The location and rooms are very unique. And that is me staying there in summer. I can’t even imagine how it’s in winter! Worth a visit and book through their homepage it’s better for them and you might get some extras / discounts.

Great location in the middle of the forrest around a pond. About 30 minutes easy driving from Kuusamo airport. Some "igloos" have a better location facing just the lake and the forrest. Magnificent silence and peacefulness around. Just nature. For shopping or eating / drinking outside, you can easily drive to Ruka (15 minutes), where, of course, you can ski or snowboard. Staff at MP is very friendly and helpful. We used the sauna twice (1 hour per reservation) and the restaurant (separate building) also twice. The breakfast is served in the lobby (extra building as well), very well organized even with more guests and a tasty choices of food. Not tons but special. Restaurant with set menus reserved in advance very cozy and romantic. Only negative point would be the open fire with some smoky clothing after and maybe some eyes / throat irritation. But, in this season, open fireplaces are mainly everywhere in Lappland. You can get snowshoes for free at the reception and can rent fat tire bikes for riding on snow / ice (exhausting!). Snowshoeing I would highly recommend; you just can use phone maps (for safety, make them available off-line, too) and common orientation sense. And start walking in any direction you want. 15 minutes walk from the Magical Pond you'll find Lammintupa with options for husky rides (we did the shorter one and it's been really fun because you can drive the sledge), reindeer rides and watching with some interesting explanations by the staff, ice karting (need to book in advance) or snowmobile tours. I would recommend a snowmobile tour where you are driving by yourself and better during the night to hunt for the Northern Lights / Aurora borealis. At Lammintupa you can have some delicious pastry and drinks as well. Of course, there're everywhere slopes for cross-country skiing. We booked some outdoor activities, including ice floating (super fun) with Ruka Safaris, and we've been very satisfied with them. It's easier if you have a rental car because it's giving you flexibility to move around and pick what you would like to do. Taxis are also available but very expensive. About Northern Lights: we've spotted them several times. During the snowmobile night ride, during driving around with the rental car looking for proper spots to watch and even out of our igloo at 6 in the morning. So it's almost impossible to miss them within 1 week of holiday.

Nice cabins. Breakfast was very good. The cabins are nice and comfy with a very, very big bed. Closet is small but very useful. Electric car chargers are available for free.

This place is beautiful … on the website. The concept is great, and I’ll bet in snow it really is in its element. But I would say the website and it’s pricing leads you to expect more than it delivers. Things are just a bit rough around the edges. The cabin itself is nice, the bed linen decent, with some coffees available. The aspects where this is a let down, given the nightly cost, are the very poor wifi (we needed to be in touch with family at home and this was difficult), the lack of appropriate bathroom products and the not quite finished aspects around the property. Letting out the reindeer is a cool touch.

This recently opened awesome place remains always in my mind. A stylish cabin like an igloo with luxurious facilities was a great and unforgettable experience! The place is very close to Ruka hill, in an extremely beautiful Lapland forest. Bright sky with full of stars could be seen through large windows. Friendly service and variety of activities made the stay comfortable and relaxing. High recommendations!

Awesome place! It was an amazing experience watching a glass of Igloo from the starry sky at bedtime! I slept very well in a very comfortable and spacious bed. It was an experience to walk in a dark but white snow covered forest. A place called Lammintupa offered wonderful experiences on Hysky and Reindeer safaris. In addition, ice karting was a great experience.
