I came for the museum but I stayed and was surprised by this hidden garden. It's BEAUTIFUL. You don't need a ticket to gain access to it. If you see the large museum entrance, walk around it on the right side

Hiroshi Sugimoto's tea room ``Mondrian'' is on display for the first time in Japan. It's only available until the end of this month (January 2021), so if you want to take a look, hurry.

(Translated by Google) The special exhibition featured a wide range of Kyoto-born ceramics, looms, and paintings that were active in the Meiji era. I was impressed by many things I saw for the first time. The permanent exhibition was mainly abstract paintings and did not suit my taste.

You can take a vague look at it from the museum, or you can go outside and walk. Although small, it is carefully maintained.

A quiet park. Maybe a hidden spot? There have been a lot of crows lately. There's a kite on the roof today It was there and was crying. There may be closing times. Please use with care.

(Translated by Google) Although it is on the premises of the Kyocera Museum of Art, the flow line from the museum is cut off. The garden is not designed to be able to walk freely, and there are many places where the grass and moss have dried up and turned brown. I learned the Inamori-ism that there is no entrance fee here, so naturally the quality is reasonable.

A garden that is not very large. I think it would have been more enjoyable if there had been a difference in elevation and a little more variety of trees.

Great side garden to the Kyocera museum that is good for just hanging if you're in the area. It's dog friendly so a lot of the local pet owners come by here and it's a good crowd. Beyond the pond is a very small area with trees. You can get there by crossing the small bridge. In the spring time, the Sakura cherry blossoms are gorgeous. In the summer the gazebo over the seating area in front of the pond is filled with gorgeous fuji (wisteria) flowers.
