Best fish restaurant in a town. Really good atmosphere. Excellent food and service polite staff and live music is great.. also they offer free home delivery which is more affordable...

If you are foreigner tourist don't go in this restaurant!!! It's a tourist trap!!! When they recognize you as a foreign tourist (which is not difficult, of course), a well-coordinated performance begins. On the end result is overpriced services and food. We spent a nice seven days in Cyprus and the only blemish is this "restaurant".

Foreigners be careful here! We ordered 4 pieces of grilled sea bream and salad. The food was ok but nothing really special. The atmosphere is quite nice. BUT...it seems that they are cheating on foreigners with prices. When we came to the restaurant we saw a menu at the entrance and the price for sea bream was 250TRY. But after eating we got a bill with almost 2 times bigger price (450TRY for a sea bream). We asked why the price is so much higher, but the waiter told us that our seabrem was from another "special" menu and that is why it is more expensive. What was a lie. We did not see any "special" menu. And even if there would be any kind of "another" menu they must inform their clients clearly about it before ordering. Moreover the waiter brought us a vine and said that is really good vine, and the price for the bottle was 650TRY. But the exact same bottle of wine in the supermarket costs 120TRY. I understand that wine in the restaurant is more expensive. But 5x more expensive is not normal. And finally when the waiter came to collect our payment he said a total price of 2740TRY without giving us a receipt. The we asked the receipt the total amount was 2540TRY (200TRY smaller). We asked why he has told us bigger amount he said that he included 200TRY of tips.

Best place to have a fresh fish and local drinks.

Warning, they are crooks! Once they see you are a tourist they take you to offer and show the “fresh fish and seafood». Price is not offered before you ask for a bill and they overcharge. 6 shrimps cost 120 euro! They have the same in the menu (lying it not the same) for 20 euro. Do not go there as they are thieves.

Be careful. They bring out Meze when we do not order it. And got charged for food we did not have.. shame as it has a lovely view and tasty food. The owner offered us raw fish to take home as compensation. NO THANKS AVOID.... WE refused raw fish and still got charged for food we did not have or ordered. ....Note to owner dont take advantage of us tourist.. you are a disgrace, people. Please be careful. This is bad rude management. I had to update my review as the reply they gave me. AVOID BIG SCAMPERS! I'm no fraud! This is a true terrible experience in your restaurant.. you charged us for food we did not order and also charged us for fish we did not eat... your reply shows the class of your management...

WARNING: tourists AVOID this place! Here is why: the moment they recognize you as tourist the manager (or the owner) begins a performance. He does not give you menu and takes you to the tank of fresh caught (as he says) fish by the entrance, explaining that it is so good and fresh and the items on the menu are FARM-raised. He is very annoying and pushy and try to "sell" you more. The fish is overpriced, cooked mediocre, side is 2 leafs of salad and cheery tomato for a 50$ meal. But he will insist you should buy also appetizer and salad. We sat there for 2 hours and watched this happen for 3 more tourist companies, while turkish speaking tables just ordered from the menu. The worst is that when we asked for a check the owner came and noted like a hint: "we share tips among all the staff")) Well, we did not ask about it but immediately started to doubt if any tips ever reach the actual servers? Needless to say we did not leave a tip for the first time in Cyprus. The service and the manager (owner) is a SHAME. Prices are super high for Cyprus, we'd say we never had that little food for $70. Food and service - mediocre...

Great and tasty food. Fresh and full of flavour. We ordered prawns with butter, octopus, fried calamari and Seabream. All delicious and tasty.

Me and my boyfriend ordered fish set, which supposed to include starters, seafood, fish, fruits and dessert. . At the beginning we were very positive, because the starters were really tasty. Hummus and tahini were excellent. When the seafood and fish came they were ok. Not too bad, not too good, just medium. When we finished, ofcourse we waited for the desert and fruits, which were included in the price. Although there were only 3 tables left, no one came to us. After long time waiting we called the waiter. He said he has only thr fruits, but no desert. Ok so we waited at least for the fruits. The waiters saw us but no one came. So we been waiting at least one hour!!! We saw how two waiters left, so there was only one in the restaurant and he dissapeared. After one hour my boyfriend saw that they are finally making our fruit plate in the kitchen so he went to take it by himself. It was only sliced apples and pomegranates. Really bad experience.

Grest place to rest up with no rush to leave after exploring the ancient sites of girne

Fantastic outdoor restaurant behind one of the Venetian castle's towers in Kyrenia. Beautiful views of the sea right next to the tables. Blue and white tablecloths and Greek music played in the background. There are very many fish dishes and what we ate was delicious. One dish, as pictured, was described as Cypriot sardines. We also had a very tender octopus dish. They were mostly visitors like myself and there was also a Greek Cypriot family. The prices are not cheap by north Cyprus standards but reasonable if you have Euros or pounds I am not sure what happens in winter as this is outdoors. Perhaps they cover up. Highly recommended!

They only want to stolen your mony. If you are tourist run away much faster as you can.🤮 They have The only one salmon who has lived in the medeteranen sea... just fished... When some local client comes you will immediatly desapear, even if the waiter was speaking with you. Compleatly unpolite.

The restaurant overcharged us on 31 May 2023. We paid over 2,000 lira, even though the fish was only 850 lira. The Pakistani origin waiter fooled us as we were two naive tourists. We paid around £99 in total for one medium fish, some prawns starter and two cola. Even in London I never paid that much. Avoid this place. Untrustworthy and greedy staff. 1 out of 10, absolutely disgusting and awful place. AVOID! AVOID THIS PLACE! You were supposed to inform the customer in advance about the total amount of order. No time to argue, the restaurant and people like you and your staff are giving a bad reputation to genuine Cyprus restaurant business. I’ll make sure to inform the authorities of Kyrenia. Tourists and guests avoid this place. Wish you to bankrupt soon! :)

The food was unfortunately too greasy and bathed in oil. The light was not enough and the toilettes were extremely dirty. The gentleman that served us was great and very welcoming and warm but besides that we are not too satisfied. 200 tl service fee on the invoice without prior notice is not nice. Also they forgot 1 meal to bring

Do not even go there portions were tiny overpriced for the food you eat. Salad was old. Waste of money shame for the location was beautiful 😞

Hürdeniz Balik Restaurant in Kyrenia port. I can’t give 0 star. 1 is to much. Awfully place. Dirty toilet. Prices much more higher than quality of served food. Staff under any quality.

this restaurant, in the old port of Kyrenia/Girne, attracts its European (foreign) customers with Greek music and white/blue tablecloths. For a grilled fish, a small salad and 1 portion of fries I paid 1470 TL. In advance, the employee of the restaurant who invited us to the table made sure that we were foreign tourists...The old port looks fabulous. these guys managed to ruin our evening.

Really great place and amazing Cypriot cuisine. Great taste of dishes. We had seftali with sea bass, octopus and sea mix pasta together with meze. We loved it! Totally recommend this place to everyone. But it is better to book your seats on weekends. Because it is full for 100%. The live music just adds to the atmosphere notes of Mediterranean culture! If you want to try best fish in Cyprus. Come here!

Terrible personnel, asked for a drink to be non-spicy, TWICE, they brought the spicy one and said non-spicy is not available, asked for extra lemons, never came. With this price, any other place is more recommended. Rude staff, bad service, good food, unnecessarily expensive

Reading some of the 1 star reviews described our experience expertly. The first interaction was looking at the whole fish, the manager(?) saw us coming, picked one out, told us he would fix it up for us. The food, scenery, experience, service were all wonderful. Just ask to see a menu. 2 in our party were telling us how reasonable restaurant prices were in Cyprus and I should've been smarter. I thought it would be half of what we paid. I told the manager he took advantage of some tourists. He said he told us the price. None of the 4 of us heard it. It seams very reasonable that this is standard operating procedure. I blame myself for falling for the act. Just ask for menu!

Poor service, reasonable prices, uncomfortable layout though. Got the flavorful Champions League platter (590 TL per person). Great views of the sea.

Not easy to find what you want, tho they have a pocket friendly price for everything

Unfortunately we couldn't eat at one of the harbourside restaurants owing to the ongoing development, but the owner of a nearby shop directed us to this place. We were more than happy to have followed his recommendation. After selecting a few starters, we followed the waiter's suggestion that we choose a selection of fresh fish, rather than go a la carte. It was all beautifully done, in particular the sea bream, and the prawns which were in a delicious garlic and sundried tomato sauce. The only downside was the number of stray dogs in the vicinity, but that's hardly the fault of the restaurant. Not particularly cheap for northern Cyprus, but as both the food and the service were excellent, we had no grounds for complaint. Was very surprised to see the bad reviews here, as they bear no relation to our experience at all. Would definitely recommend, and would be very happy to come here again.

We were two family's, met here for dinner, party of 11 (booked in advance). The fish and sea food lovers, absolutely loved their meals, some of the best food on the island. The meat eaters, ordered from the limited meat menu, and they raved about how their meals were the best meat dishes they had enjoyed on this holiday, go figure? Great service, good atmosphere, and to add to it all, the entire bill was less than £8 per person including drinks. Loved it!!

Best fish restaurant in the area. Non smoking and smoking areas available. The smoking area is very busy so book if you can. Sometimes there is live music also - this is great. Really good atmosphere. I wish they served Efes.

Nice place . Good appetizers but make sure to order from menu and not from the fish display to avoid large Bill's. Also I enjoyed the dishes from the menu much more than the fish from the display.
