Beautiful park close to Bishkek. It's absolutely gorgeous and Racek hut is a perfect location. The dorms are comfortable or you can camp. Fresh water from a waterfall nearby. Easy spot to use as a base to climb in the area or practice skills right by the hut. Korona hut is more basic but what a fantastic location and quite the interesting ascent along the Alligator's tears to get there. I'd love to return one day

The National park Ala Archa is about 50 km from Bishkek, at around 2 km altitude. It is a very popular location for hiking and climbing. Before visiting, you better bring all the groceries, since there is no shop there at all, and there is only small Ala Archa hotel with limited offer of food and drinks.

Cheapest way to reach this place is Uber from Bishkek. All classical taxi drivers asks about 2000soms but Uber is about 700soms. Park itself is amaing to hike and easy to camp anywhere yoi want. You can find many water resources to drink and on the way there some bridges to cross the river

Beautiful place, definitely worth visiting. It takes about 2 hours to get to the waterfall part of the hike. Highly recommend the hike. Bring some food with you as there is not much at the parking lot more than overpriced drinks and snacks. This park is just approx. 30 mins' drive from Bishkek and is popular with the locals/families as well since some of them came here for picnic. There's entrance fee for this park which is why the park is very well maintained. There are shorter hikes as well as longer hikes which will take one to the waterfall. I took the shorter hike. The scenery is nice but certain part of the path could be a bit steep.

I was positively surprised by the number of people enjoying this well conserved protected area. It was June and everything was very green and flowery. The glaciers and the mountainous landscape accompanies with the beauty of its mystery all the way up to the waterfall.

A wonderful park! Great for the whole family. The trees and flowers, rivers and mountains, just wonderful. A great place to relax and have a nice picnic. The area is protected by the goverment to keep everything as natural as possible. The temps are a nice 19C here so very nice to relax here. We will definetly be coming here again very soon!!

Very nice place to visit just 20 kms outside Bishkek. But u will not find any animals or birds. If you to visit a peace and a calm place u can visit. However if you come to Bishkek, I highly recommend to visit it at least once. It is not crowded. I visited it on a Saturday expecting a good crowd but there were only about 25 people. U need to rent a vehicle to reach and to go back, there is no public transport available.
