But you will not feel the crowd. 1 hr Journey to Altyn Arashan is quite bumpy and adventurous, we went in small Russian jeep (7000 soms for car with 4 sitting). We stayed in Elsa guesthouse (5000 soms for separate room).The scenery is amazing. Hot water spring is good experience (private one). We couldn't go to Ala Kul lake because Pass was covered in snow, but really enjoyed the valley. Do try fermented horse milk drink (Kymyz). In return, we hiked down which took us 4 hrs. Altyn Arashan Valley (2400m elevation) I have always been fascinated with mountains and the solitude they bring, so staying here for 2 nights in a Yurt camp was such a perfect getaway. No network signal, not enough power supply, nor any other modern conveniences. Just unspoiled nature, fresh air and the soothing breeze that touches our faces. It was pure tranquility! Visited in August, summer time but it was freezing up there especially at night. No light pollution so it's perfect for milky-way photography.
