I have been buying all new books here. Prices are high, however Raritet is the fabulous book store in Kyrgyzstan with a rich range of different book collections

This is a great bookstore! Their selection is quite good for most subjects, especially compared to other book sellers in the city. There isn't much in the way of books in international languages, unless they're for learning whatever language it happens to be in, but if you can read (or are learning) Russian, the selection is fantastic.

4-5 rooms of books, toys, games divided by sections. Chairs and sofas in each section to sit and read. I often visit kids section. Accepts cards. Mainly books in Russian but can be found in Kyrgyz and some English.

Big book shop with the very big selection of books. I liked that they have kyrgyz poetry corner. Children book choice is very big. I have bought some nice post cards there. They have a kind of museum there where one can see some artifacts related to Kyrgyz history, including soviet times.

Unfortunately, we didn't find any books on English and I wish that interior was more modern)

This is a consummate local bookstore and small museum. There are two locations in Bishkek. We have visited both. Almost everything is in the Russian language. Both stores have an clean eclectic look and feel about them. Very nice and knowledgeable people work there.

I haven't seen a bookstore larger than this one. It has nearly everything you want, in Russian though. It's like the local version of the Waterstones in the UK, but only in Bishkek.

Lots of books to choose from in this bookstore including a large variety of books that are specific to Kyrgyzstan culture and history. We really appreciate the large amount of books for kids available here as well. If you can read Russian, this is a great place to get yourself some books!

best bookstore in Bishkek, it has mainly Russian and kyrgyz books, but some English books may be found as well

I think, it's one of the best bookshops all over the city. You can find all popular novels. Also you can buy presents for friends, kids etc.

I love this store. The people that work there make it the best book store I’ve visited out of many countries. They truly want to help you find your book, they give you so much attention and care. And it is so cozy and warm there. Thank you, Раритет, and please keep doing what your are doing :)
