Took a trip to Montreal for my birthday. Decided to stay at W Montreal because I use to work at W DC and missed the brand. Amazing staff from the start to the finish above and beyond service. The Insider Mauricio absolutely the best in the business. Reached out to me before I even landed with a list of recommendations for places for me to go. Kept in contact with me the entire trip and made reservations for me at every spot I went to. Mireille was super nice and also helped with some great breakfast/shopping recommendations. Seriously top of the line service. 100% would recommend anyone to stay here if visiting Montreal.

Place offers great settings for lounging around with friends while having drinks and enjoying some food. Drinks are always mixed right and staff are friendly/ kool. Big plus is lots of different backgrounds for that perfect picture in your BIO, don’t take my word go try it yourself😎

The W Hotel made our weekend very memorable, the service level was above five star. Maurizio the W insider and Pauline the concierge got us reservations at the cities hottest venues, booked us nordic spa and restaurants. I personally can't thank them enough.

Clean, modern, upscale - just what you'd expect from a W. We enjoyed the hotel's excellent location across Victoria Square (we had a room with a great view of it) at the doorstep of Old Montreal. We especially appreciated the attentive, friendly, and efficient service provided by the staff. Of particular note was Yasmin at the front desk. We'd arrive back from a two-mile walk in Old Montreal on a hot summer's day, and she always greeted us with a welcoming smile and a bottle of water. All of our interactions with her with absolutely delightful. She deserves a shout out. Overall, we were quite pleased with our stay at W Montreal, from the rooms and general facility to the staff, and recommend this hotel.

I just spent a long weekend at the W Hotel Montreal for a bachelor party and it was easily my best stay at a W franchise. I had a great room with high ceilings and a private patio. Additionally, Mauricio W insider was beyond helpful with setting us up with dinner and bar/club activities the entire trip. It truly felt like a VIP experience and I'd recommend you use this service during your stay. I'm looking forward to future stays at the W when I'm back in Montreal!

I stayed at this hotel for a week this August and it was a last minute change. This hotel is now the standard that I measure all other hotels against. I have had very pleasant stays elsewhere but the feel, proximity to Old Montreal and the Metro made my stay very unique and memorable. But above all the staff including but not limited to the front desk, house keeping, concierge went above and beyond to assist that I almost felt guilty. The staff referred to each other as colleagues and there did not seem to be an implied hierarchy between staff at the hotel, they genuinely act as a team to make your stay memorable. I ate at the restaurant and was very impressed and learned that I have been making scrambled eggs wrong for a very long time. Thanks to the staff, I definitely will be back.

My husband and I celebrated our 1st anniversary here over the weekend and were very impressed with the care from the W team and the beautiful amenity in our room! Mauricio Villalobos, in particular, was a complete rockstar and our trip wouldn't have been half as great if it weren't for him: he got us reservations in some of the coolest cocktail lounges and bars and was always willing to help make sure we were having the best time (thanks so much Mauricio!) He also made sure we went to the right restaurants. The bell/door staff over the weekend (9/16-9/18) were some of the most polite and attentive staff I have seen in awhile (and I come from a hotel background). The only thing we would have liked to see was more towel hangers in the bathroom. Also important to note is that this hotel is perfectly centrally located to walk to some of the best restaurants and bars. Look forward to seeing you all again and thanks for a fantastic stay :)

This hotel stands out among others because of its unique style and design, while also conquering the fundamentals. It seems to be focused towards higher-end luxury but also towards the younger crowd, which is very uncommon in hotels. I would also like to note the great recognition of Marriott Bonvoy Elite status which goes a long way in deciding which hotel to return to on future visits.

Stay at this property at Oct 14. When I checked in, the front desk is really patient, she gives me every information detailed, and when I checked out, another front desk is really concerned about my experience and she is really nice, it makes me feel being valued while I stay here. I really enjoy my stay here. It’s really a nice place to have a staycation during the COVID time.

We enjoyed our stay! We had come from another hotel that could not accommodate us a view not facing a brick wall with no sunlight so we left and went to W Hotel which was an excellent decision! The staff were amazing and accommodated our family of 4! We had street view with a spacious room for our family! The gym was great! Equipment seemed brand new! Loved how treadmills and bikes were in separate rooms in which you could close the door for privacy. My kids loved the zen room with the tiny rakes and black sand. Was even given one night a free treat of pastries and fruit platter that was left in our room. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. We will definitely be back next visit to Montreal!

First time staying at a W and wow !!! Amazing hotel in downtown Montreal. The service was excellent before we even arrived. Maurico(the W insider) really took care of us and helped us find some great dinner and drinks, and just helped manage all the details. Where do I start? We are loyal Marriott patrons and only stay at their properties when traveling. The W is a beautiful hotel with very clean and spacious rooms. However, I have NEVER experienced service like we received in the Montreal W. From the warm welcome of the valet team, to the outstanding front desk service, housekeeping and room service, everything was impeccable. We had several meals at the restaurant Tablespoon in the lobby. Food was delicious but again, the star was the service! The manager, the wait staff, were excellent. Every bit of our stay was the BEST!!! Only stay at the W! From my experience on my many trips to Montreal, this is the only hotel to consider. Well done management team and staff of the W Hotel. You should be very proud of your exceptional team!

My girlfriend and I were gifted a 1 night stay at this hotel. From the moment of checking in, the service was amazing. The room was beautiful, and the staff went above and beyond. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough

Couldn’t love this place more!! The rooms are top notch and the shower was the best. I know that sounds weird but it just pelted you with water and love the large bottles of shampoo, conditioner etc. we will definitely be back!

Excellent hotel situated with a convenient location in downtown. The staff are amazing and extremely helpful. Walking distance from the convention center and metro, and it's connected right to the underground passage. There's a nice gym on site and plenty of restaurants in the area. Rooms are spacious, clean, and modern. Our first visit to Montreal was amazing, thanks to the W.

Situated conveniently between the shopping strip of Ste Catherine and the historic side of Montreal you are all set to soak up everything that makes Montreal magical. Great shopping and amazing food is a short stroll from your room, but location is the easy part, the difference between good and great is in the details. First up, W Montreal clearly understands that the key to an exceptional stay is people caring about you as a person and the quality of your stay. Everyone single person on staff was kind, attentive and unique. The stand out was Glow who made our stay one of a kind. Kind. Caring. Fun and Authentic. I simply can't say enough great things about him! Good is easy. Great shows up in the details - amazing cocktails in the lounge. Attentive room service (thank you for the extra coffee and towels when required). Dinner recommendations and reservations that not only highlight all that Montreal has to offer, but also reflect a range of dining. We aren't after a gourmet experience every night. Sometimes you just want of box of noodles and some Netflix in your room. Oh and the beds are damn comfy.

Stayed here early January 2024 as an Ambassador Elite Bonvoy member. Was upgraded to a fantastic suite, which was modern and spacious. The hotel offers a trendy, club-like vibe with dim lighting and upbeat music. Staff were very friendly and hotel was spotless. The suite I had, had a very open concept feel to it. Including the bathroom. I was alone so this did not matter, but something to consider if you prefer privacy. I believe most W’s are like this. In January, the hotel was very empty as I barely saw anyone else here. I would imagine the lobby bar would be a fun time when busier. The hotel has no lounge but as a bonvoy member (platinum and above) breakfast at the TBSP was included. Breakfast included any choice off the menu and was quite good. I also went their for dinner and really enjoyed my meal. Location is great. Very close to old Montreal and many restaurants within walking distance. Moishers right down the street was very good for steak. My only minor complaint was that the room was a bit cold and would not warm up despite adjusting the thermostat. The room was set at 19 and even though I had set the thermostat higher, the heat wouldn’t turn on. Not a huge deal, but could have used a bit more warmth in January. All in all, a great hotel with a fun feel to it. Would definitley return!

I recently stayed for 2 nights at the hotel. It was an absolutely luxurious experience with an exceptional customer service. Since I travelled with a baby they even upgraded my room to a big room. All the staff are incredible and very accommodating. This hotel is a perfect luxurious staycation with an excellent location.

W hotels never disappoint and this stay was no different. Our Wow suite was stunning and had sweeping views of the city. Location was perfect, close to the train station and lots to see and do walking distance from the hotel. Will definitely stay there anytime we are in Montreal.

I stayed at the W Montreal Labor Day weekend while in town for a wedding. Most of the attendees, who came from all over, stayed here and we had a wonderful experience. The service was spectacular, from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the doormen. So gracious and friendly. Of special note was Insider Mauricio Villalobos, who was extremely helpful and hyper-responsive. We loved Montreal, and the W was a big part of that!

I was planning a trip for 20 from Texas to Montreal and fortunately booked this W. The central location was convenient for exploring the city and hotel was very nice. I can’t recommend more that you contact Mauricio W Insider, who will help curate your experience. Not only did Mauricio know the best spots in Montreal, but he personally called ahead and made sure we were taken care of. I received a lot of praise from our group for putting together such a good time, but the credit goes to Mauricio and his team at the W Montreal.

Another amazing stay at my home away from home in Montreal. In town for Christmas with the family and the W didn't disappoint. They made the stay extra special and memorable by adding special touches that you just don't get at other hotels. A great example of this is W Insider (Mauricio) arranging for a Christmas tree in our room for our daughter. Front desk staff are amazing as well. See you next time W!

Best luxury hotel in Montreal, conveniently sits between downtown Montreal and Old Montreal. Walkable distance to most of the nearby attractions. Rooms are big and comfortable. Their staffs are excellent, always smiling and very helpful. Recommend their valet parking service as the parking is a block away from the hotel.

We stayed last weekend for our anniversary ! We had an amazing time! Every one at the front desk was so friendly And with the help of mr Mauricio W insider I was able to plan a wonderful getaway for myself and my wife. I will definitely be staying there again!!

My husband and I spent last weekend at the W Hotel. It was a weekend planned for our 29th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time! The room was beautiful. The view was amazing! The staff was very helpful and friendly. We especially appreciated the help we got from Mauricio W insider. He helped my husband surprise me with the restaurant, flowers and brunch the next morning. After visiting the W Toronto we looked forward to trying the W Montreal in a recent stay. First and foremost, like to mention the booking and reception inability to accommodate us as visitors. Was coming for work and the rooms with the agreed rates with work. After setting this aside, we noticed the booking agent ‘forgot’ or didn’t enter the special note for early arrival, which we discovered at arrival. The manager was able to find us a room shortly after. When we went to the room, the room was not fully ready and felt it was missing some items I had to call in for. On top of that, our room was right in front of elevator, so was noisy, and room had ticking noise that was uncomfortable during our sleep and there was heavy medal sounds from the tenth floor, woke me up several times. Called for technician but at that second , sound was not evident. Didn’t find it worth calling reception again when noise was back as I didn’t want to hear more excuses. Hotel was beautiful vibrant staff were very friendly. Would I go again? No, I could stay at le germain as an example was much more comfortable, better treatment and accommodation, never issues with rooms . Would have loved to have had a better experience at the W.

Great location. Service was lacking. Had sink that wouldn’t drain despite service request. Front desk staff a bit rude, not able to provide water on requesr. Understandably a bit noisy due to the bar downstairs. I wouldn’t stay here again for the price

Best hotel in Montreal, better than the Ritz in my opinion. Love how cute and trendy this hotel is. Location is perfect. Their level of service made me feel like I was staying at a 5 star hotel. Stayed here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, staff ensured it was special for both of us. Highly recommended for young couples, and girls trips.

Cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed at. I’m always concerned about cleanliness but We didn’t have any concerns here. We've stayed at other W hotels before but this was the best by far. Wonderful experience. 🐾 We also had our fur babies 🐶🐶 with us as well and they loved all the space in the room. We may stop here again on our journey back home. My husband loves this location as well. Very pleased 😀. We will be coming back for sure either way.

An exceptional getaway at the W hotel! I reached out to Mireille to coordinate reservations as well as special requests and she set everything up before my arrival. The front desk staff and gentleman in charge of the car valet were friendly and courteous. Excellent customer service by one of the managers Daniel as well as the staff from Tbsp and the W terasse. The room was gorgeous and clean. The breakfasts were delicious! I will definitely go back and highly recommend this hotel!

We have stayed at W Hotels in several cites and countries and this property is amazing when you book a loft suite ….it’s amazing sexy and the terrace is huge ….the staff was amazing would love to see this hotel function pre-covid

As a titanium elite member with Marriott, I generally know what to expect at hotels. I am familiar with the W brand, which is why I chose this property for my holiday this summer. The service was basically non existent, but they use COVID as an excuse. There's a letter in each room outlining which services are available, including housekeeping but in reality, none of it is offered. I stayed for 5 nights and despite the hotel offering housekeeping, they refused. The breakfast also wasn't available since the restaurant was closed, but they opened at night for drinks and appetizers. Seems like they're just not wanting to serve breakfast since it's free. The only real benefit of this hotel is the location. The metro is right across the street in Victoria Square and it's a short walk (uphill) to Rue St Catherine. I will give them another chance once the pandemic is over, but decided to stay at the Renaissance when I last visited Montreal instead (much better experience, they have breakfast and a great happy hour, and the location is even better. All that, and at a lower price as well)

Sparkly clean hotel close enough to everything in the city. We were upgraded to a Fantastic suite with our elite status and it was perfect! Breakfasts were very good. Daniel, the restaurant server, even made sure breakfast arrived to our room before an early morning flight. St. Catherine’s street is a quick walk, albeit uphill, it should not be missed. You can access the city’s underground from the hotel when the weather’s crusty. Television streaming wasn’t an option, but soaking up Canadian news wasn’t so bad. Besides, travel is education. The lobby/ bar was loud on the weekends and the elevator music pumped hard, but inside our room was serene. Never heard other occupants on our floor.

Very nice and cozy. Comfy couches. Nice drinks. Great service. Great ambiance. Very very clean. Food portions are very tiny. But nice for a drink before dinner or a 5 @ 7.

One of the best Marriott Hotel experiences in my life so far. We arrived after a 7 hour flight from Zurich and we could not have imagined a better way to start our vacation. I am a Marriot Bonvoy Titanium member and every W staff member made me feel like home. The service in this Hotel is next level. In room dining extremely fast and delicious, Live DJ at night with high quality cocktails, handling requests like providing a HDMI cable within 5 minutes after asking for it through the Bonvoy chat (yes 5 minutes!) and just being super nice and helpful made this a special trip. A big thank you to the W Chef Concierge Mireille who literally made it possible for us to enter one of the best nightclubs in Montréal on our last night (you actually have to book a table 2 weeks in advance). The location etc is amazing and super close to all major sights and districts. Thank you to the whole team and see you soon :-)

This is an excellent hotel to stay at if visiting Montreal for either business or pleasure. The front desk person was so kind in helping me get checked in and finding a room for me that was ready despite my original room still being cleaned. The room I ended up with was larger than anticipated which was nice. The staff are all very friendly and the amenities of this W are definitely on par with a four-star hotel. The W Montreal most definitely lived up to the standard of the W brand. The gym was my happy place in this hotel as it was comprised across two floors with one having private rooms with various machines and then the second floor having free weights and such. Will likely be back!

Great place to stay--very close to where I periodically have meetings in Montreal, and with easy access to much of what the city has to offer. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room service/restaurant food was great and fast. Only downside is no pool, jacuzzi, steam room or sauna,, which I really appreciate in a hotel. The fitness center is a little sparse, but adequate if you get creative with your workout.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Very clean, housekeeping was excellent. Because my husband was a platinum member, we were upgraded. When he said he needed a bigger desk to work, they upgraded us to an even nicer room. The concierge, Mireille, was very helpful and provided us with a variety of wonderful restaurants that met our allergy needs. The valet service was also wonderful and very prompt. This hotel deserves the high end ratings it receives—they seem well staffed and ready to meet your every need, which is especially impressive in COVID times. The rooms were modern and fun!

This hotel was a great experience for a one-night stay: - the service at check-in was wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. - the room was clean, spacious and modern. The bed was comfy and the hotel was quiet for a good night's sleep. - it was conveniently located close to the Via train station (less than 10 min walk) We were only there for a quick stay, but it was good value and a great location in downtown Montreal. Would be great for couples looking for a romantic place to stay, or for corporate travel needing space to work, a quiet location and convenience of wifi/train/etc. Recommend this hotel!

Great location! Easy to get to any part of the city fairly quickly. Rooms are good size, especially the WOW suites. The hotel was slow to check us in, since there was a conference when we arrived. Mauricio Villalobos (W insider) made sure we were taken care of. We had some great cocktails at the bar for free while we waited and found an assortment of welcome items when we got to the room. We will definitely be back next time we are in Montreal.

First time staying at a W hotel. Was extremely impressed with the customer service. Everything from the valet to the front desk and concierge was perfect. Definitely a trendy/hip spot for young people to stay for vacation. Would be fun for business travel as well. Going to give a special shout out to Mauricio (Hope I’m spelling that correctly). His official title may be “concierge” of some sort but that does not do this gentleman justice. We got in contact Saturday night and let him know what type of night we were looking for. Let’s just say you want to talk him if you are looking to experience the real Montreal. Seems to be very well connected and understand exactly what you are looking for. I will be recommending this hotel to all my friends looking to have a fun weekend in Montreal based off of my experience and the service their team provided.

First off, rooms are pretty nice, and the overall decor/ambiance of the place is kinda cool. However, it is super clubby. I was on the 3rd floor and the music from the bar downstairs (on the first floor) was so incredibly loud until 2 or 3 am and vibrated the room/bed. To be fair, I was there on a weekend, and over NYE, but I wouldn't have expected it to be quite that ridiculously loud in a guest room that late into the night/morning. I was especially annoyed by both the hotel and Marriott because I saved up Marriott suite night awards for this trip and the request to use them was then denied when the hotel told me staight-up that there were multiple open suites. My suite night awards expired on 12/31 while the suites just sat empty. This made no sense to me, and showed me that suite night awards are quite arbitrary and are thus of limited value. The hotel did give me a slight upgrade (I am Marriott platinum), but as noted it was on the 3rd floor and was nearly impossible to sleep in. On top of that, I've learned that it's impossible for me to leave a review on the Marriott site. Apparently they have to send you an invitation to do so, and I have never received one of them (I requested one for this stay and they said no ha). All in all, the W Montreal is a decent hotel. Rooms seem nice, breakfast is okay (although I'd note there was a lot of bad fruit one of the mornings), and location is pretty good. But if you're not looking for an intense party scene then there are definitely more peaceful options around I'm sure.

The W was an amazing place to stay. The service was okay, they seemed a little under staffed but they handled that well. Really great location with good access to different parts of Montreal. I would definitely stay here again

WoW, this property and the people who work here!! I've stayed at 3 other W's. Even the one in Miami, which apparently wins awards. But this hotel; let me break it down for you: 1. one of the most comfortable beds 2. room service that is 5 stars. 3. room quality: even if it is an old hotel, the refurbishments have brought it to near perfection. All and every amenity worked the way it would. To give you an example: W: London, the doors didn't close properly to the bathroom and the shower. W Miami: the drawers didn't close; and were warped. W: Montreal: PERFECTION! I wished I lived in that hotel. Also, the food services; they skimped on nothing even if it was room service. I've not been paid or in any way reimbursed; the W Montreal is an epitome of a 5 star stay without the pretention. TBSP restaurant is another plus. Low key, but quality. I've stayed at 5 star hotels all over NA and EU; this by far is the best.

Very nice and chic hotel. Staff are amazing, especially the bartenders. Very clean and great location. Just far enough from all the partying that you can't hear it, but close enough that you can enjoy it.

We had a fantastic experience at the W Montreal. We came for a friend’s birthday, and I worked with the concierge to coordinate flowers, balloons, and a bottle of bubbly. They were so kind and prompt, had great recommendations, and made the trip feel very special. The gym has decent equipment and the lobby bar was festive with great drinks.

I would highly recommend this hotel, and I would definitely stay again. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights while I was traveling for work. The location is fantastic - very walkable to downtown and Old Montreal. The room was very clean, staff was helpful and pleasant. We didn’t eat at the hotel during our stay, but the cocktails were delicious. The only downfall for me was the parking. There isn’t a self-park option in an attached garage. The adjacent garages were somewhat difficult to navigate and it was less than ideal to bring luggage around the block. If we weren’t in and out so much, we would have used valet.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a stay. They compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't be disappointed. Really like the bar and general mood of the hotel. Its not the latest looks but it is still up to date. The room was top notch and the staff really fun and smiley. There is no pool but there is a Gym you can acces 24h. Will return. Oh the bar closes at midnight.

I’ve stayed at this Hotel a few times it’s located in a good area close to everything! The staff was very friendly and the rooms are clean. No issues with this hotel while we stayed there. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends. Maybe a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

I have recently stayed at the W Montreal Hotel. My experience went over and above my expectations!! From the moment of arrive to departure. Make sure to ask for Mauricio, he insured that my guest and I find the perfect restaurant for the evening and the perfect spot for cocktails after. I didn’t have to lift a finger all the arrangements were done by Mauricio! This was truly one of the best experiences I have had in a long time!! Can’t wait to go back soon! Thank you team W

We had a fantastic experience last weekend for my birthday. We were a large group (14 rooms) and everyone from the valet to the bar tenders at the property made us feel right at home and very welcomed. The rooms were super roomy and comfortable, it’s on a great location walking distance from old Montreal, restaurants and awesome nightlife.Also, Mauricio the W insider was awesome! He hooked us up with two great reservations and VIP tables at two of the hottest spots in town. We will definitely be back!

We loved the stay at W Hotel. Our E Wow suite was amazing with all amenities. Mauricio (W Insider) did an excellent job making sure all our needs were meet including setting up all diner and club reservations. We will come back for sure.
