The architecture tour takes two hours and is well worth it. I spent a total of five and a half hours here and would go again.

We bought the combination ticket plus the production guided tour. I think the entry price of the Vitra Design Museum is reasonable. The production guided tour was actually very good! We had a great day and liked it very much! And for sure, I would definitely recommend this museum! 👍😊❤️

Ever great pleasure to spend the day in this creative, colourful and inspiring place! Eating & relaxed chats with friends in the restaurant, stunning photos in the showroom with breathtaking views, visiting the exhibitions, temptations in the shop, marvel at the variety of architecture, gawking at its warehouse of treasures, craft workshop....What more could one ask for?

We visited this brilliant design and industrial museum on a rainy Thursday last February. It was the perfect day, since we were only a handful of people that were there and that had registered for the very interesting architectural tour. Obviously we also saw the Schaudepot, the fire station and their furniture store and had a very late lunch in their restaurant. The COVID restrictions applied explain why people were wearing face masks. Highly recommended for design and architectural freaks!

It's really nice for normal people. especially for interior designers it is perfect, you can get more innovative ideas by looking into those designs. You can visit the most beautiful parts of museum for free. Only plastic recycling and chairs museum is paid, But personally it's not worth.

Beautiful place. I could go here once or twice a month. You don't have to book the ticket online. You can go and just buy. They have place to leave your bags and coats. I definitely recommend this place.

This is either a 2 or a 5, depending on how you feel about 20th century euro modernism. Expect a dreary walk if you arrive by train from Basil. A large campus, only a portion can be visited. The experience is exceptionally structured and through. Plastics was the theme on our visit, and you will receive a global perspective on the history, uses, advantages and problems related to their uses. Helpers, all dressed in Black, will usher you through. There was no snack bar open at the time, and no drinking fountains, so if you are thirsty on this warm August day be prepared to sit and wait.....to be served by more blacked dressed helpers, who are relaxed at their rate of service. Many visitors found the experience fascinating; a great number taking photos of the furniture and objects so exactly curated. Since it was about the only museum open on Monday, I found it worth my time too. Our hotel provided half price passes. Virtra also manufactures classic furniture, available for sale and on display. Ironically, this furniture was designed for the masses, but now is a costly prestige item. And that sums up the experience of the Vitra Design Museum!

“Vitra Design Museum" is a renowned museum dedicated to design and architecture.” - It was designed by the architect Frank Gehry. - The museum is located in Weil am Rhein, Germany. - It was completed and opened to the public in 1989. The purpose of the museum is to showcase and celebrate the field of design, including furniture, industrial design, and architectural works.

A very interesting place if you are interested in design. The main building is free to visit but for the others you would need a ticket. The visit takes roughly 2 hours, depending on how deep you want to go. Please ensure to not miss the tower with the slide, it's a very funny activity!

This is an excellent design museum. It contains enough information for any designer looking for inspiration and ideas, including a very extensive free library. Note for English speakers: tours should be pre-booked as they fill up very quickly.

Beautiful museum, lovely atmosphere and very kind and helpful staff. The design and architecture of the campus is amazing, loved every part of it, if only the weather was a bit better. Even slid down the slide which brought back some nostalgia from my childhood.

Must go place if one is interested in Architecture and Design. Placed in the quiet natur of the outskirts of Weil am Rhein / Basel. A production place but looking like a collection of architecture. Tour strongly recommended. But also the surrounding of the shop is a place to be. Calm.

It was like my world was shaded in greys and turned into a vast array of colours. It was like i had seen the world in such a bleak view point until i was guided through this museum. It’s not my first museum nor will it be my last. It was my first furniture museum. I have a better appreciation for interior design and also for the simple chair. Unforgettable. I sometimes will daily still see the impressions from the art pieces in my day to day life. Absolutely life changing experience.

A paradise for design lovers! Although a cross between a museum, shop and showroom The fun activities and the different spaces and atmospheres allow you to have a great time before ending with a break in the friendly cafeteria. It was a pleasure to walk around and get inspiration for our own house. One can sit on most chairs to try out and there are also sales counters to order.

Interesting museum with a collection focussed around furniture (mostly armchairs and chairs) and interior design. The (numerous) buildings are each deigned by a different architect. The shop on its own is quite well worth the visit.

Nice experience. Very interestingly designed building with many hidden corners, but its construction involves also many windows and once inside it is a nice experience seeing all the furniture in well light day light. There are a couple of floors filled with design furniture and floor areas which have been decorated by artists. It was a pleasure to walk around and get inspiration for our own house. One can sit on most chairs to try out and there are also sales counters to order.

The Museum is an absolute visual experience 🙌🏼 my favourite exhibition was the one about Robots 🤖 Just two things: 1) In my particular perspective, I think sometimes is missing a bit more of information about certains objects (Colour Rush). 2) The Cafeteria: the people from the staff are nice but we realised there is a lack of organisation and communication. Be prepared to wait longer for a cup of coffee 😅

The Vitra design museum is a space of inspiration. The art or design exhibitions are thought provoking. The interiors show a detail for love and history. A lot is offered for free. Of course it can get a little crowded, but I still enjoy coming back every time. The variety of trinkets and books in the giftshop are a great resource for souvenirs and presents.

(Translated by Google) You should take enough time. Despite pre-booking, we had to wait forever because only a certain number of people are allowed in during Corona times. The line was very long. You could put some Vitra chairs there. An hour of "legs in the stomach" is not too nice. Especially since you have already paid for the expensive tickets. Since we had also booked the tour, the time was very tight. Instead of opening the door longer so that everyone can come in, it was closed an hour earlier, giant dee. An hour longer would be useful. Overall, the whole Vitra campus is very interesting, the museum is actually the least sparkling of them. The staff were very nice and accommodating. We spent the whole Saturday there and took a lot of impressions home with us. Da könnte man einige Vitra-Stühle hinstellen.

(Translated by Google) a very interesting Design Museum, I recommend taking the combi ticket, in the sense of visiting both the Museum, Schaudepot and absolutely the tour with the guide, to get an explanation of the history and every detail of the Museum that otherwise would have escaped us. For the necessary time it takes all opening hours, currently from 12 to 17, but if normal hours resume, they can be used for an all day visit. Just to know, you can also eat, take a coffee break, and there is also free parking.
