It's a beautiful paradise best place for families!! I gave 3 star for customer service. They don't resolve issues in timely manner. We stayed in our hotel room for 2 days without hot water they keep saying they will take care of it. There villa is nice but needs good cleaning. We requested someone to come and clean nobody shows up so we start sweeping and mopping.

Great place , great deals, fun and friendly. Very clean both Hotel and villas. Recommended for a nice weekend with your family, night shows and parties are nice. Food and beverage are good. Free wifi. Pool is clean. You cant be bored there's pool, volleyball, mini golf. The beach is calm. Amazing views. My favorite place.

SOOOO cute. Loved every part of it but it needs some reparations. The villas need better conditioning but the place and area is a definite 5/5 because it’s absolutely gorgeous.

We went with family (2 small kids) and we had good time here. My girls enjoyed the place, different things to do. I took some time running very early morning and it was amazing, the view, good area to do a long run or some fartlek. I only have issues with: only one person in the check in desk, restaurant buffet was super slow with long line of people waiting because only one and sometimes 2 people attending. We wasted a lot of time just waiting. Service must be improved with people and training.

This was a beautiful place. Was a bit unsure of it based off some of the reviews, but we had no complaints. Room was clean, food was very good, pools were clean and beautiful, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place, especially for the price point and having all meals and drinks included.

The employees at the hotel didn’t speak English but my husband speaks Spanish. They were not helpful at the front desk, they didn’t know anything. The buffet was lacking, they don’t have shuttle buses and it’s hard to get a cab. I didn’t like it.

Me and fiance and two friends and their baby stayed there for our upcoming wedding, back in May. We got there late at night after traveling for 16 hrs, hoping to get in the shower and relax, my friend’s room’s faucet wasn’t working, no hot water and our room could’ve been A LOT cleaner! We went to reception desk, and ask for a new room for our friends, which the receptionist denied us at the beginning assuring us the faucet will be fix in the am (mindyou they were traveling with a baby!) and of course did want to stay in that room! after almost AN HOUR going back and forth and after I’ve threatened to cancel all reservations, he decided to finally give my friends another room! We talked next day with the manager, who didn’t eve bother to apologized or talk to us about it, we had to chase him around to talk to him, we asked for at least a concession for the whole room fiasco, but he never got back to us, at the end of our stay (8days)I saw him outside and asked, he said “the best he could do is 50% off our next stay”🙄🙄🙄 like if we are going to be coming back to that place. The day shift receptionists, the guy who assits guests and the bar, very nive people, this why I gave two stars. AND, still waiting for my lunch refund🤬, I’ve invited a family member for lunch there but couldn’t make it, they said would reimburse me, but nothing! There’s nobody to talk to since the don’t answer their phone, or wassap messages 🙄 so I guess is my loss 😡 DO NOT GO HERE!

    1. Weak to no wifi beyond the main lobby. 2. Very loud music past midnight. 3. Ants 🐜 in room. 4. Dirty and outdated rooms. 5. About 45mins from town. 6. No gym. 7. No shuttle to town. 8. No hotel visitors allowed beyond the lobby. 9. Buffet style meals are rudimentary at best. 10. The hotel is isolated from everything. You will need to call a taxi to get to town - $50 each way. 11. Adverised tours were not available. 12. Very artistic lobby 👌 Overall, disappointed as Palma Real is viewed at the #1 hotel in La Ceiba. The hotel has a lot of potential. Recommend management evaluate their property.

What a beautiful resort and great potential. If you need internet service this is not the place for you. It was non-existent in our room. There were insufficient plugs to charge your phones and use a computer. They were full of people and understaffed in the restaurant. The food was delicious. If you ate towards the end of each meal schedule, the selection was somewhat limited.

Beautiful place on the ocean. The buffet was great. Internet in your room had no signal. My room had no plugs for charging the phone except in the bathroom. Meeting rooms were on the second floor. There was no elevators. Not very elderly, or handicapped friendly.

I rented an airbnb which was super nice but the overall hotel facilities are great, very clean, very secure and several pools for you to enjoy.

Average to lower end resort. All areas need a really good cleaning. Food is average with long waiting lines and get ready to have lunch surrounded by flies. If you are the least bit picky, this is not the place for you. This hotel needs a big update. The most appealing aspect of the hotel was the natural beauty of the area and the foliage. The beach and ocean are very nice. All this said, I sure wouldn't travel to this hotel ever again.

If you ever take your pets with you be careful. By some reason, a cat that used to wander around the villas seems to have died of poisoning. Talked to someone about this issue and it seems that this is how they "control" the population of stray cats and dogs that live around the villas. Next morning, a significant amount of dead animals appeared. This is insane. They should comw up with a way to control this without killing. Keep your pets around you. Don't let them outside because they might eat something and end up poisoned.

It is a nice place to relax, the staff is really nice starting from front desk, to the cleaning ladies, bartenders, restaurant staff and everybody. Food was great, good options almost every meal. In spite of going during week days, they still served a decent amount of dishes. The 2 reasons why I took away a star was because they said that they didn't have tennis equipment eventhough they did have it and there were 2 meals (one lunch and one dinner) that wasn't so good......I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights so I guess I had enough meals to compare. But overall there facilities are well designed for a relaxing vacation and they have a beautiful and comfy area for people to just sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean. Don't forget to take your bug repelent to avoid mosquito bites!!! 😊😊😊

We are staying at a 2 bedroom villa and it is lovely. Air conditioning works well. The kitchen is well equipped. The beach is a white sand beach and is not crowded at all. There are lounger chairs and shade palapas. Beach Towels are supplied by the resort. There are 3 pools in different areas of the resort that are well cared for and clean. The restaurant serves buffet style meals and the staff are wonderful and the food is delicious. The grounds are very nice and well cared for as well.

This place was VERY dirty, no towels, soap and most cabinets, faucets, air conditioning unit, coaches are broken or heavily damaged. Water damage everywhere. Who rents this for 200 a night? Not coming back here ever.

This part of the world has not been heavily exploited. It's a breath of fresh air and a very nice place for quiet vacation. The beach is secluded and goes on for miles without interruption. The grounds are spacious and neatly kept. The food is tasty and filling. Pools are lovely.

I enjoyed it. Some of the employees are bilingual , that helped me because my spanish is pretty rough. You get 3 meals a day included in the price and they have a snack bar open through out the day.it's right on the beach, also 2 pools.the area is very clean. Air condition rooms. I would have liked it if they had work out equipment for daily exercise, treadmills or something.I had a really good time.

It's an all inclusive that has set times for eating. Breakfast is 7 to 10am. Lunch is 12 to 3 , snacks are 12 to 5 and dinner is from 7 to 10pm. It's a nice hotel, but the tv is too small and outdated. The pictures on bookings and hotels don't do it justice. The rooms are quite nice. They have 2 pools, a bar, a pool table, a ping pong, mini golf and one restaurant. The food is a hit or miss. Really enjoyed their fried fillet fish and crab soup. Make sure to have travel arrangements to leave if you do not have a rental.
