Getting worse and worse but kudos to everybody who worked during the pandemic!! If you need mental health help try someplace else. I deleted my review because my dad passed away and he was in part of the story I told. Unfortunately I still have to go here because of insurance and I just had to switch doctors because the one I got was so terrible. Advice: Talk to the nurses to find a good doctor! They are rare here and usually booked up!

My son had a medical procedure performed in March. I paid for the procedure in full on the day of service. With insurance adjustments, Gunderson owes me $700+. I have made several phone calls and it seems like it shouldnโ€™t take 6 months to resolve this simple matter. I am pretty sure that Gunderson would not be OK with me owning them money for 6 months. It is frustrating. Update: After waiting 6+ months i did receive a check from Gunderson resolving this matter.

We go to Gundersen only for orthodontics, but when we call the ortho office, we are required to listen to their 1 min. COVID announcement before doing anything. Then when we are told to "stay on the line, or choose one of the following options," we get no options - we get the 1 min. recording again. Then when we finally reach a human and she has to transfer us, are we transferred? NO! Not until we listen to the 1 min. recording a THIRD TIME! I get that COVID info is vital, but I am trying to reach an ORTHODONTIST, not a vaccine clinic.

My son's father was brought in on med flight 8/13/2020. He had emergency, life saving surgery after a motor vehicle accident. He was not expected to survive but due to the exceptional care & prayers for God to save him. He is alive today. My kudos to the Gundersen staff to do what was needed to save his life. My concern though has been with the communication between staff & to loved ones. My son's father has had 3-4 room changes since waking from his coma. Family was never notified. We'd call the HUC desk & they said "he isn't here". Doctors & staff never notify family of incidences or successes. Multiple times I've left my contact information (I am a co-guardian of the patient) and they have lost or misplaced my contact info. I've called multiple times to take with the patient & they don't have my information. The physical care for the patient is exceptional but the care & communication for the family is lacking tremendously. When I give my info to a nurse today, the info is lost tomorrow & I have to explain myself again & again. I work in a hospital myself. Communication is a very vital piece. This needs to be worked on in the Gundersen System. Also you aren't just treating a patient (and we thank you for saving our loved ones life) but the family who is suffering too needs to stay in the loop. Sonething for you to work on. Thank you!

Nothing like getting sick at Gundersen Lutheran from a patientโ€™s room (while working on the Critical Care Floor) then having nearly 2 months without pay And then getting hospital bills for it. I still have not caught up financially or physically. I thought it would be great to help the hospital during Covidโ€ฆ They did not even pay me my sign on bonus 800 $.

I scheduled a consult for a procedure and paid the consultation fee and when I went to schedule for the procedure they said they were not doing this procedure after the 1st of January and had no more openings. Very unethical. Be up front and say we wont be performing this procedure but we can do a consult to explain the procedure to you. Then ask if you'd still like the consult. When I called back to get a my money back because the consult does me no good they passed me from this person to that person. To be clear this consult can be used at other hospitals that I don't want to go to so they may still be good for you. I won't use Gunderson anymore and I've switched myself and my kids over to mayo. This isn't Walmart. I have options and you lost a 42 year patient over $250.

Alison Boone, a CLASSIC case of another Licensed Practitioner that places information into patients charts that are blatant โ€œself-preservation placed lies that cover for the fact that she cannot perform her job correctly.

Outstanding systems in place. Doctors are first rate and top of their field. Meticulous and detailed, leaving no stone unturned. Professional, yet very personal. Highly recommend!

First of all, to those of y'all who have had bad experiences, I'm truly, very sorry. I've been doing all of my health care, either at, or, my amazing doctors, have collaborated with the other doctors I've had to go today, due to being on the other side of the state of Wisconsin. Or completely outside of the state. I First was seen at Gundersen in 1998/1999 Famaly Medicine Depth. Then was passed to a different doctor so my First doctor could advance her career. So as I was TOTALLY BLESSED by an AMAZING, SUPER INTELLIGENT CARING Doctor, someone else was to, getting Dr Feila(sorry if I misspelled your name). Since I've had D3 Kimberly Lansing as my doctor, I've made my mission to stay at Gundersen Helth Systems, for continuing my medical care. I've only had 2 situations that I recall being pretty bad, for me, and they were both addressed, and I've moved forward from them. But, THANK GOD, I've not had ANY major issues with the doctor's I seen regularly. As I tell EVERYBODY that I referred to go to Gundersen, is that I believe that I've got the ABSOLUTE BEST AND AMAZINGEST medical care team, in the world. I don't think God himself could be as awesome as my entire medical care team is. And over the years, with getting know each other, I've learned SO MUCH, from the bedside manners and care, as well as each and every out patient appointment I've had the pleasure of seeing them.Dr Feila,Dr. KIMBERLY LANSING, AND ALL NURSES, Dr Ricky Winiger(??)I've seen a few times when other doctors were out. And going to a new doctor, of ANY field of medicine, is NEVER a good thing for me, since being a very young child. But I've neverhaveANYproblems when Dr Ricky help his colleague with patience. SYLVIA FIRARY/Moser, I've been blessed to have as one of my doctors for many many years. And now she's moved on to advice in her career as well.(GOOD LUCK SYLVIA). And Sylvia has placed me in the very capable care of Dr. Deena Athas, whom I'm HONESTLYexcitedto beginthis chaptersof my life, with her Dr Athas as one of my doctors. THANK YOU ALLBAS WELL, every single person of the support staff, intake, nurses, etc. Every one of y'all are amazing!!! Thank-you for keeping me, keeping on๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ and my doctors, THANK-YOU, for helping to keep me in line ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜. Being in this area of the US, and having the medical facilities and the AMAZING Doctors that have SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE, COMPASSION, EVERYTHING. WE'RE ALL EXTREMELY BLESSED, to have the doctor's, nurses, CNAs, everyone. That's seeing a VERY SMALL PART of experiences at Gundersen Helth Systems through my eyes.

Two different job interviews and the worst organization for any place I've applied. Yes, these were both done on Gundersons' website when the staff says they're not affiliated with either of these to avoid accountability for their actions. 1.) When interviewing for the warehouse and driver position, they decided to start about 10 minutes after it was scheduled. 2.) The manager to do the vallet parking interview wasn't even there when I set up the interview online a week in advance. We called her and said she wasn't informed after she was scheduled off. Plus, it sent me to the wrong address when I arrived and had to walk to the other side to avoid being late if the interview was planned. The only thing this hospital has taught me is that I'll be more likely to survive a life-threatening situation by driving myself to Winona for medical treatment than pit trust into this place.

Poor patient outcomes caused by chronic understaffing They repeatedly make mistakes on routine procedures due to a lack of nurses caused by low pay and poor management. Hospital admin does not seem to care for their patients or Frontline workers. Dr. Rathgaber, you should be ashamed of yourself.
