This place is great! There are now 8 pickleball courts and fresh paint! The city has rules posted but there is no rotation or skill level system. No rack or wait system for all the courts. It's sort of pick a court and go wait over there. There are many groups of people who know each other and meet via text. They like to play amongst themselves, sometimes they look for people to join in. The good thing is there are usually open courts to do your own thing. There are a lot of nice people. Best of all the lights on until 10 pm.

Me and my daughters love going to this park. They can play while i do my 30 minute walk. You can bring your kids' bike or scooter and ride along the trail. You can also do the stairs and trail when you walk.

My family likes to have picnics here, and it's easy to do so with the wide grassy areas and plenteous choices for shade or sun. Afterward, we always play on the playground with our girls, and they love it! It seems in good condition and I don't worry about their safety. The toys are pretty enriching as well. I can tell they put good thought and resources into them. The ball courts and skate park are also top-notch!

Playground: Newer structures, one structure for younger kids and one for older kids. The flooring is tanbark and rubber. There was plenty of shade from large mature trees in the morning. A few benches to sit on. Some pieces of equipment were not available to play on which was disappointing (only one child swing, etc). Bathrooms: A bathroom structure is by the parking lot. Parking: Free parking lot. Location: This is in a medium sized park that is adjacent to the freeway. I wouldn’t come during high traffic times to avoid breathing in excess pollution. Safety: No unhoused, no trash, and many adults exercising or walking dogs. *Updated 1 year later* Swings are all added, and gym equipment was added right next to the playground.

It is a really nice park with public restroom and lot of grass area to play. Ammenities include a playground and swings for young kids; tennis and pickle courts and skating area. As mentioned earlier, it is a really nice and well maintened park.

Wonderful family park. Today was a beautiful day to celebrate with friends. Even though this was a last minute picnic, we were still able to secure 2 bench areas with enough trash receptacles and recycling bins. There's plenty of shared areas and room for games.

We are out-of-towners visiting family for the holidays. While here, we’d like to play pickleball. Our daughter, who has recently moved to the area, suggested the pickleball courts in La Mesita. So, we checked out the park and the courts. The park is lovely with a fun playground, restrooms, paved trails, tennis and pickleball courts, a skateboard park, and picnic tables for gatherings. We will definitely return to play on these nicely developed courts.
