I wasn’t too sure about this hotel reading the reviews, but it was a great choice after all! The hotel although seems a bit dated it is in fact very well maintained and gives a good old detective story vibe. We had a room with a balcony, the view was lovely, we could even do stargazing from there. Very clean and spacious room, strong shower with consistent hot water. It had everything we need. The pool itself isn’t much but is very photo worthy! We literally just went there to take pictures. However, I can’t believe the sauna only operates if you ask the receptionist!! And it’s inside the male changing room!? Another thing I didn’t like was the smell in the corridor, I think it was from the cigarettes from the good old days when it was allowed. It attached to the wall and carpet and never leave, the room was fine though. Otherwise everything was perfection! It’s probably not the most budget friendly, but this place made our visit to the Teide easy and comfortable. Don’t get deceived by the bad reviews! We visited the nearby trek before the sunset without crowds of tourists around before going back for dinner. Breakfast is highly recommended it is between 8-10. We had breakfast for half an hour then drove to catch the first cable car without any hassles of parking. Definitely will come back again if we are visiting Teide! Its a shame that the north road still shut due to the fire until October

We ate at the restaurant on a Tuesday evening in May. The food was quite good, but small portions for the price (as seen in the pictures). I thought the vegatables with the veal were particularly ungenerous - the chips almost comically so. I took the photo as the plate was set down, so there were only four small chips to start. There was no indication that the accompaniment would be this sparse or option to order additional sides. The pig cheek had very limited garnish too. The service was mixed. Some of the staff were quite friendly; others slightly rude, including a strange sneer from a bearded waiter when we ordered only one dessert. As with the vegetables, the portion was bizarrely small. We were also asked three or four times what our room number was, although I explained a few times that we weren't staying in the hotel. This seemed to generate some confusion or concern, so appears not to be especially common, although the hotel takes bookings for the restaurant, so it can't be unheard of. We had an unusual level of difficulty ordering filtered sparkling water, notwithstanding that I pointed to it on the menu and explained what I wanted in Spanish quite carefully. This was also misbilled initially as bottled water, although that was rectified on being pointed out. The cava was poured too quickly, so lost some of its fizz (and bubbled over the top). As you'll see, the view from the table was good, which just about tips this from a 3 to a 4 (albeit a low one).

I know covid has taken its toll, but everytime we come to this centre, its presentation is cheap and the food and drink expensive

The staff is generally unfriendly and far from customer oriented. The hotel positions itself as a more fancy hotel but (except for the quality of the warm food) the actual service offered is below that of many other hotels. But they can afford it as being one of the (or even thé) only hotels inside Teide national park. Breakfast buffet misses some very basic elements, such as cold milk for cereal, bowls for cereal, extra cutlery. Just 1 flavor of juice. When asked, staff will bring what's missing, but not with great pleasure, dropping it on the table without saying a word. As there are no convenience stores nearby and tap water is not drinkable, we wanted to buy water from the hotel to get through the next hot cycling day. We needed 7-8L. Even though the restaurant serves 1L bottles for 2.5€, during the day the bar only seemed to offer 0.5L bottles for 2€. The waitress rolled her eyes when I asked again to see I hadn't misheard the price. Disrespectful. As a comparison, our previous hotel was so kind as to sell us a 8L plastic bottle of water for 2.75€. I never want to go here ever again. [Update 1] The bath tub contained hair from a previous visitor.

The hotel boasts a convenient location very close to the volcano. The views are exceptional both morning and night suitable for both visiting the volcano and stargazing at night. The rooms are clean and well maintained and reasonably sized and comfortable. The level of service is average overall. The restaurant at the hotel is below average with mediocre, overpriced food and extremely rude staff. I'd recommend driving elsewhere for dinner and breakfast if possible.

Location close to Tiede cable car. Fabulous scenery. Secure parking. Service poor . Waiter moody and appeared fed up. The breakfast was mediocre . The dinner was good but could have been excellent. The rabbit stew had very little gravy and the Canadian potatoes were dry and shriveled. However , I had the best dessert ever..a honey foamed almond mousse.... absolutely delicious. The red house wine e at 4 euro a glass was good too .... my husband had an excellent fillet veal but it came with a 5 euro supplement on top.of our half board. The bed room was clean but needs modernization.... the beds were very hard ! .. No coziness in the hotel at all. A very good 3 star.

A fabulous place to stay and I recommend the half board option for great value too. After a day walking around the park you can sit outside and take a drink, watching the sunset over El Teide. If you opt for an early dining time you’re likely to have a window seat option to see El Teide too. Our evening meal was truly delicious and very well presented, and being on the half-board option was included in our price. We just added water and wine to complement the experience. (see menu photo) The bedroom and its facilities were good, being spacious and clean. There’s a kettle and minibar included. Plenty of piping hot water from the shower. Breakfast offers hot cooked food to order and a wide choice from an open buffet. When you check in you will be asked to provide a preferred time for the evening meal and breakfast so be prepared to let them know. Parking is included in your stay, just ask reception to let you into the private area directly out front. Recommend going outside after dark to star gaze, there’s no light pollution. Some guests I spoke to had booked walking tours for the evening and there are plenty of small tour groups with guides narrating the night’s sky.

Visited only for lunch. Have tried stewed goat, really tasty even for me who used to eat goat meat from childhood! And "Rancho stew" taste good as well even by spanish standards 😌 And the view to mt.Teide is just gorgeous 🙂

Apart from the amazing location, this is a great hotel. Despite some negative reviews on here, we found the staff to be efficient and friendly and the rooms comfortable and clean. The food was very good and the communal spaces very pleasant and relaxing. Walking trails from the hotel are numerous and offer a variety of levels of difficulty. All in all, excellent and would definitely stay again.

We only wanted a drink here whilst waiting for the bus back to Vilaflor. There was a long queue, probably 12-15 people in front of me, and it took 20 minutes to get served. There was only one girl serving and she had to take the orders, payment, and make coffees too. Expensive drinks and food, but there's no competition, so they can get away with it.

Very bad service, we ordered a sandwich supposedly stuffed with hot meat, ... The meat was cold, and the menu very expensive. The menu wasn't clear. The Teide landscape is awesome. Just bring your food to visit this place.

So, we asked for water, as we hiked all day and needed one bottle. The receptionist unpleasantly repelled our kind question and said that everything (bar and restaurant) is closed. So I have asked about the vending machine full of water and sodas. He responded: “Everything is closed man”. Then he said you can use our Barthroom. Utterly unprofessional service with no sense of simple help. Worth to point out that there is no water source in 40 minutes range.

I love this hotel. High standard, lovely room, big and comfortable, great style too. There is a very elegant restaurant with huge windows with Teide peak and surrounds, professional staff. Just so lovely. Only minutes away from the cable car that takes you to the top of Teide (almost).

Cesar salad in the canteen I've never eaten anything so lousy! Salad was more than half rotten, the other half frozen! The associated price is a real cheek! Take Piknick with you!

Over priced but if you want to stay in Teide National Park you have no choice! Make sure the skies are going to be clear before you book, otherwise its very dissapointing and expensive.

The location was ideal and was so good to be in such a tranquil setting after the hoards of daytrippers had gone home. The food was excellent especially the breakfast. Plenty of choice for a Continental breakfast and bacon and eggs available as well. Just one negative with it being so far off the beaten track it was difficult to get some snacks during the day. A vending machine would have come in handy. All in all an enjoyable stay

We stayed at the Parador for one night on 20/11/23. We had seen the hotel last year on a visit to Teide and decided to book the hotel as we wanted to experience Teide after the crowds of visitors and day trippers had left. We are so pleased we made that decision. The Parador hotel is amazing- the staff were so friendly and the room in the hotel was far superior than we would normally expect for a 'standard room' in a 3* hotel. The restaurant menu for evening meal was varied and very tasty. Breakfast was superb and the bar prices were so reasonable. We would love to return, maybe in Springtime when the flora is apparently beautiful. Best of all the walks from the hotel and views of Teide are stunning- we even woke up to see snow on the top.

Nice hotel to stay when you visit Mt. Teide. You can eat break fast and dinner with looking Teide. If you are lucky, you can see beautiful stars at night. There are some Hiking course around the Hotel.

Nice location if you are planning to hike the Teide the same day or the day before your stay. The views from the hotel are amazing and the food in the restaurant is quite decent for the price.

Excellent location for Teide view and starry night view. Everything is good for a 3-star hotel. Book in advance to get a lower price.

Beautiful setting for this well run, clean and comfortable hotel. The hotel sits under the shadow of a butte with views of Teide & the high desert. The night sky is spectacular & the crisp mountain air is rejuvenating. Several hiking trails start from the parking lot & the attached restaurant serves up tasty food. The staff at the hotel is very polite & friendly.

Prices are affordable in the restaurant, it is nice to stop for a coffee with the beautiful view. Service was a bit slow, and you have to wait before you get seated

I would recommend going hungry and thirsty rather than eating at the restaurant. We queued for about 45 minutes round the side of the building just to get seated even though there were plenty of tables available. The staff seemed to be on some sort of go slow, even just to get people seated. I do wonder if it was some sort of industrial action against the owner on the part of the staff, as the service was so unbelievably bad and rude. When we were finally allowed to sit it took another 40 minutes to get our beers, and a little longer for the food, despite there only being only a few customers. The beer was nice but the food was not great. The bacon iny club sandwich had nasty gristly bits in it. Finally, we had to find someone to pay the bill. The woman behind the counter was very rude and waved her hands about in the air grunting and shouting. She wanted us to pay the bill without checking it, which there was no way we would do given the level of incompetence on display from the staff. All in all the cafe was the low point of an otherwise nice trip up the volcano.

1 euro to go to the toilet, no ice cream and generally poor menu and little outdoor tables. 2/10 would not recommend

Fantastic location in the Teide landscape in the middle of nowhere. The hotel is in walking distance opposite the famous Roques de Garcia. Several hiking routes start here and a National Park information booth and a souvenir shop are right next to the hotel. The hotel's swimming pool is small but has mountain view and a comfortable temperature. The staff could be a little friendlier. Frequent problems with the key cards that were not working and had to be renewed at the reception.

Terrible service at the restaurant. Food was basically thrown onto the table after almost an hours wait. Waiters were extremely rude (even when trying your best to talk spanish to them). The hamburger was raw and the club sandwich was tasteless. On top of this they even charged to use the bathroom. Tip: drive a bit further to the restaurant of the cable lift. They are excellent.

Great location, but nothing more. Tourist trap. Tasteless and overprized food (no vegetarian options for mains); bad view from room if you are unlucky (we overlooked a roof); bad swimming pool (the windows are not even cleaned, so the view of teide is sad; you have to walk through the cold to get there; and the water is only lukewarm).

Stopped here for dinner before a night hiking under the moon. Slow service and discreet food. I'd say it's a fast food, but they need to improve their food tastes and speed. The views are the only 5 stars.

We stopped for coffee and cake in the self service cafeteria. We'll positioned fore seeing or visiting Teide. Lovely apple cake. However, just be aware the charge for toilet is €1 if you are not buying food or drink.

Good quality hotel! We had a one night stay here because we wanted to hike up Teide and continue on to Pico Viejo and then finish at the hotel. Seeing as it was the end of a great hiking week and this was a long day hike we thought we would treat ourselves at the Parador. The Parador is the only accommodation within the park and it was pricey at 185E for a one night stay for two. I feel that the park should have another option apart from this place but none the less it is in a stunning setting with great views of Teide during the day and night...simply glorious. The rooms are nice, comfortable with air con and you have a mini bar. No tea or coffee facilities but still, we liked the place. The staff are very friendly and obliging, the pool is indoors so that was a bit of a downer as this place is screaming out for an outside pool with the accompanying views of the mountains. It also has a gym but it is small and really not of a high standard. The food; well the dinner was pricey but great. I had 'roast kid'...not literally but a roast leg of a kid goat (see pictures)...I did chuckle at the menu when I read it. The waiter was superb and the setting in the restaurant quite elegant. A dinner for two came to 90E. The break fast...disappointing really, badly fried eggs, miserable looking sausages and the rest nothing really to write home about... I was also amazed while I was here because a friend of mine in the UK said that his dad built a telescope that this hotel uses for astronomy purposes back in the 70's and lo and behold they still use that telescope (see pictures). All in all however, a very good quality hotel that is in my mind 30E overpriced but with great staff and in a superlative location. You simply pay for the views...in that sense it is worth it! Thank you Parador. I would return. My visit: June 2017.

Just called into cafe for a coffee not to the hotel. Food was reasonable. Keep your receipt if you want to use the toilet otherwise they charge you a euro

Of course we chose this hotel due to the beautiful location. And there is nothing to be said about that. The park is beautiful and the views from the restaurant are great. To keep with the positive, the breakfast was tasty. The hotel itself is fine. It's cosy, yet a bit outdated and dusty. The reason for 3 stars is mostly the room and unfriendly staff. We are normally not the type to pay 170€ for a hotel room for one night, but when we saw the pictures shown on booking we though we would treat ourselves. Unfortunately the booking photos are misleading as they use the same pictures for all the different rooms they offer. So as we expected a room with a view and possibly a balcony, in reality the room had a little window that looked out on a roof with satelite dishes. We went to the lobby to ask if they had a different room with a view and that we wouldn't mind paying extra. Unfortunately we couldn't finish our sentence before the receptionist answered annoyed and started repeating again and again that it was a standard room. I'm taking a geuss that we weren't the only people who have been disappointed by the room. Seems to me an easy sollution: use realistic pictures and notify people in advance! The room itself was fine, though very stuffy and hot and the fan didn't seem to help. The bar area smelled like sewage, so there weren't many places to relax and enjoy the view from. Definetly not worth the money in my opinion.

This is an elegant and comfortable "Old World" style hotel with a relaxed and sedate atmosphere. The rooms were large, the marble bathrooms exquisite and the food in the restaurant was excellent! The restaurant is somewhat formal and proper, so no one should expect "fast service." The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent and represented a very good value for the price. The overall price for the room was likewise a good value, especially considering the absolute prime location for relaxing after a vigorous day or hiking and made for a perfect evening of star gazing.

The rooms were nice and comfortable. The view and location amazing! The only bad thing was the bread-less burger and the weird cheese cheesecake! The food was basically not nice. Especially for vegetarians like us. Also we went in May and the swimming Poole was closed which was one of the reasons we wanted to stay here but obviously it is the only hotel in the area so it’s not like we had much choice. Overall it was ok for the price as it’s very expensive but since there’s no other place to eat we were disappointed that the food in the hotel was expensive and horrible.
