Truly the most magnificent photo spot around El Teide, with a view on the giant itself, the craters surrounding it and the stunning landscape that paints this UNESCO-protected national parc in so many colours. A definite must-see for any geographic photographer!

Absolutely stunning place, the rocks are amazing, you can view Teide very well, parking slots are free, If you want to do some hiking in this area I recommend to get up earlier because in the afternoon it gets quite busy

Nice walk from 6pm. It took us 1&1/2 hour to do the whole tour in flip flops

A real sanctuary with kind and motivated volunteers. The world needs more places like that.

Simply amazing. Very popular place but a must do although car parking can be a challenge. Air is thinner up there so COPD and asthma sufferers beware. Can be a lot cooler too and even snow so take some warm clothes in case. Good boots essential if you are going to explore away from the main tourist areas. Cafe and loo facilities in the Parador plus an interesting visitor centre. This is the real Tenerife, a different world from the brash and nasty concrete resorts by the sea. There are many day excursions by coach if you don't fancy the slightly demanding drive yourself.
