One of the highest views you'll ever get a d still be standing on solid ground. 12,000ft up. I hiked it, SERIOUS challenge. Worth it though. And the photos were just stunning!

Crazy expensive to get here, but so beautiful (and chilly❄️) up here. You can walk in bit directions for different views. Both pathways go a bit up and down, not too much but can be a little bit different because you are already on a high altitude. The pathway is made of volcanic rocks, so sturdy shoes are advisable.

A nice vantage point just next to the upper station of the cable car. There are two open hiking trails offering breathtaking views. For the third one, leading to the summit, you need to get permission first. Sometimes it is very windy here.

A unique place in Europe, the locals have monopolised visiting the area, but tenerife natural attractions are spectacular. We had a coach and guide, stopped at various places in the caldera and a cable car ride up to 12,000ft... 3500m. There we're 5 of us and we paid 3-400 euros.. honestly it was worth it.

Keeping a room open for stranded hikers for the night is a great movement! It has already saved countless lifes! Thank you for that!

It took us 2hrs to get there had about an hour up the mountain you don't go to the peak that needs another ticket and would take2hrs to walk there and then back down the views are out standing but the altitude does get you feeling breathless a bit dizzy and weak So take it easy when you get to the top of the cable car ride ,don't rush to viewing areas walk slowly and enjoy the views. Ps star gazing night with 3 course meal at Teide was outstanding

Amazing place and feeling. You are over clouds and have a look over Tenerife. Its abit cold there ~2°-4° and quite windy. You can get even higher, to the top of wolcano, with special permission.

Bad organization, they know how to ruin the visit experience. After booking the ascent to Pico del Teide three months in advance, I am told that I cannot go up due to the weather conditions, while I see other people less equipped than me (including an elderly woman) to face the climb. Given that I am a former Alpino who goes periodically to the Alps and I know how to recognize a dangerous situation and know how to equip myself for this type of excursion. The staff asks me for affiliation to a mountaineering club with associated insurance, metal crampons and sticks even though they are not requested in the permit or mentioned on the park website; without the possibility of renting the equipment on site. When requesting contacts and more information or to make a complaint we are told to go to Santa Cruz de Tenerife....more than an hour away.... I advise everyone to avoid if you don't have these things in order to avoid turning a good experience into a rip-off with the addition of 40 euros to go up and down with the chairlift.

There was a light feeling of O2 shortage. Views could be better, but harsh calima were ongoing at the moment.

Beautiful! If you consider hiking up, I definitely recommend taking the well-marked route from Montana Blanca bus station on feet to the top. It is nearly impossible to miss, and worth each step you can take ☀️ Note, that to climb to the very top from the upper station of the cable car, you are going to need special permit.
