Lovely homemade food at a cheap price! Seemed authentic to me. The wine is made at their vineyards, and was great. Waiters speak spanish, but my basic knowledge of a few spanish words was enough.

The food is good and prices are affordable in this place, but ordering food by foreigners who doesn't know or know only a little Spanish may be difficult, or even confusing. My hint to the owner: provide restaurant with a menu (English version as well), add to the menu photos, food, ingredints, and prices. It would be also nice if the guests could pay at the table (not only inside the restaurant). I am pretty convinced this investment will pay you well.

The food is great. The waitress could have been more helpful. We asked 3 small dishes plus 2 of her recommended pork chops that she knew, would be way to much food for the three of us What a waste of this fine food.

This place has to be experienced, if you around, visit - for lunch or breakfast. In out 4-5 visits we tried about 80% of the dishes and they're all great. You can't get wrong! We're not locals at all, but they are doing a great effort putting up with english. Always an advantage to have 3-4 words of spanish with you😉 In the end this place is definitely underated and the bad reviews here don't make sense. We had chicken, rabbit, veal, pork, peron peppers, grilled cheese, chickpeas, fish, Champignons etc. The Fries are quite plain, but thats what fries are I guess 😅

Perfect place to enjoy local food! (This is the meaning of guachinche actually). The garbanzos and ropa vieja (see photos) were very tasty as home made. We also add a solomillo de cerdo (pig meat). Very local and not that easy to reach without having a car, the place is with basic long tables but with a great view to the see and wine yards from the place. Big outside place to be seated as well. The withe wine tasted as fresh made wine and fruity, I liked it a lot!

A huge place which I think should be fun on a sunny day to sit for some local food and wine. The food was ok, wine nit bad and service fast.

Awesome food, great service and fantastic atmosphere! Just remember to learn few basic Spanish words, and you will get anything you want. If not, the people in this place will do what they can to provide you best food on island.

Authentic guachinche just north of Oratava. Do order the Ropa Vieja - it is stunning! Easy to get too unlike some guachinches and with ample parking at the end of their (well maintained) drive. Also try the Polvito Uruguayo desert - you will not be disappointed!

We had a lovely, well priced meal. The cuisine is fundamental and tasty, and the service is great. Worth a trip if you are in la Orotava.

We ordered 2 appetizers but received only one. We had to ask twice to finally receive it. Also ropa vieja was served like it was a dog food - see on the picture. Then the mail meal. We ordered chuleton. It was burnt and pure fat, no meat. There was nothing special about the deserts and they are super overpriced. Also, we received french fries (we didn't order them) but we thought it was a part of the meal. Turned out it wasn't since we had to pay for it (we didn't eat them). At the menu there are no prices and on top of that there were these young girls taking orders and there was one old man who walked between the kitchen and customers with the meals! I believe there is something wrong in the system. The wine was good tho.
