We did the 1 day Huayna Potosi glacier trek with Juan. The trek was great, such a unique experience, and Juan was fantastic! Jiwaki provided us with all of the gear - rubber boots, gloves, snow pants and jackets, ice picks etc. would definitely recommend any trek with this group. They seem super knowledgeable and put together.

I had a great time hiking and climbing the huayna potosi. The food is decent/okayish. The guides were great. The office personnel super friendly and helped with all questions.

In my opinion a good priced and good organized company. Eulogio was our guide (official International Mountain Guide) for the day to the top and was really professional! The guides communicate good to make it save for everyone.

Professional and affordable 3 day expedition to Huayna Potosi. Ice climbing on day 1, walk to high camp 5200m day 2. Summit 6088m Day 3 all with personal guide. Includes all meals, equipment and transport. Guides have 16 to 20 years experience. Would highly recommend this company.

Good tour agency for Huyana Potosí climb. Costs only 120usd including transport, gear rental, meals and a guide who takes two persons on a rope. I went with very professional guide William, rented climbing gear incl. Plastic boots was in a good condition, warm gloves and jacket were useful too. Get aclimatized first of all, otherwise you will be suffering and stay hydrated. Note the Huyana Potosí is regular high altitude glacier climb, some parts are a bit vertical, you will be jumping over crevasses and the last part near the summit is rock scrambling.

Highly Recommend this company. Rudy was our tour guide. Super down to earth and positive vibes. Kept conversations going along the way. Always kept safety in mind. They provide a meal at the top of the mountain which was nice. The landscape was absolutely surreal in this location. Never seen anything like it. The weather was wild. Even though it was like summer at our location there were storm clouds with thunder and lightening around the mountains right next to us. It was nice to watch and listen to. The weather was warm at the bottom then became snowy and windy at the top. Overall it wasn't that cold. The weather eventually mellowed out. Pro Tip: bring lots of coca leaves and (lay-hee-a) sweetener.

I went to Huyana Potosi (6088m) with Jiwaki, and am superhappy with the experience. They were professional, experienced and made us feel like we were in safe hands the whole way. Our guide had done this trip so many times that he knew it like his own back pocket. In addition, the guides were kind and funny🙏 Chose Jiwaki because I heard other backpackers had used them, and I'm very satisfied as well. Amazing experience, really recommend Jiwaki!

Nice company and nice organized trips. We made the deathroad and the huyana potosi with this company and we where really satisfied. Jose managed it to bring me to the summit and back to the camp. El Gato helped my friend with his stomach problems ( he will know 😂 )

We have booked the death road bike tour at Jiwaki and had a positive experience. They work together with the height experience company, the price was very fair and everything went very smoothly. The protective equipment is not the newest but still works fine. They provide helmets with gopro mount if you ask for it in advance. The bikes were good with strong brakes. But most importantly the guide was very professional and also funny. He helped everyone with the bikes and the equipment. He immediately made small repairs on the bikes if needed and talked a lot about safety. We always stopped before any dangerous sections and went very slowly. We felt very safe all the time and would recommend it to anyone even without a mountain bike experience. The food and the swimming pool were absolutely amazing at the end. One of the best meals we had in Bolivia. A few days after you will receive a cloud link with all the photos and videos. The photo quality is low because they use an old camera (but this is what most companies do).

We did Pico Austria and Huayna Potosí and loved both. Pico Austria was a day trip from La Paz and a fairly straightforward hike. Huayna Potosí was 3 days for us and the 1st day consisted of practising with the ice climbing equipment. Day 2 was a walk up to high camp with all the gear and day 3 starting very early at 1am. 1 guide for every 2 people and all guides were brilliant. Especially our guide Jose who was brilliant and the team leader Pablo. Equipment was good quality, guides were awesome and overall an amazing experience to make it to the top. It’s pretty tough though and is very cold before the sun comes up.

I did a 3-day Huayna Potosi climb and it was absolutely amazing. Everything from Jiwaki was very professional. Guides were amazing, food was decent, accommodation at the refugios is also fine. We were group of 15 people (all absolute beginners) and 14 of us reached the summit (the only girl wasn't properly acclimatized and gave up even before high camp). I can highly recommend Jiwaki.

I did the 3 days / 2 nights Huayna Potosi summit tour. Johnny was my main guide (but also Pedro was amazing) and we were able to summit and safely get back to base camp. I can highly recommend Jiwaki as a tour company, because the organisation was fantastic. For example they had some spare guides for the summit attempt, which means that you don’t have to necessarily go down if your partner in your rope team can not go any further. I used my own mountaineering boots and I would recommend to bring your own (crampon compatible!) hiking boots, because I heard from others in my group that the shoes were not so comfortable.

We did the 3 day Huayna Posoti tour with Jiwaki and it was excellent. Day 1 - visit the glacier and practice walking and using crampons and ice pick and climb an ice wall which was fun Day 2 - climb to high camp with full bag. Can be hard work if bag humus heavy. Ours were over 12kg Day 3 - leave at 1am to climb HP. We made it to the top at 7.30am and back by 10.30am. Jose our guide was incredible, taking us at the right pace, reassuring us, providing us with tea and keeping spirits high. It’s definitely super hard and some people don’t make it but the views at the top were incredible. Jose was the best guide with his sign at the top, lots of great photos, encouragement. Highly recommend Overall the tour was well organised. The food wasn’t the best (but at that altitude I didn’t expect a lot). The equipment provided was great and the scenes were amazing

I did the 2 day option, as I had some limited experience ice climbing in Peru. I summited and ultimately I was really proud of myself and my partner! (The success rate in our group of 20 was around 50%). The guides are a good bunch and experienced (but can be a bit forceful as they are so incredibly strong). As a forewarning, this is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life and I consider myself a lot fitter than the average person (29yr old former university distance athlete, experienced hiker & cyclist). At times this feels INCREDIBLY sketchy (jumping over cravasses and climbing near vertically on the ice in the dark) so isn’t for the feint hearted. Second warning is that if you don’t have recent altitude training/conditioning or you’re not naturally that physically fit I wouldn’t recommend this if you want to have a chance of summiting. I was also lucky enough to partner with another Brit who was mid-20s and very fit. One last heads up: We were unlucky with conditions and had a ‘white out’ the entire 2 days, so didn’t get a sunrise view or panoramic view at any point (but also had friends who went on other dates and had amazing views) Summary: If you’ve always had an interest in mountaineering but never done anything very challenging, you’re fit, have some altitude hikes in the bag already and want to see unique landscapes of high mountain glaciers then this is for you!

This tour agency is really professional. We did 3 tours with them (the Death Road, Pico Austria hike and the Huayna Potosi hike). Most of the needed equipment is already included in the tour price (the bike, mountaineering equipment such as crampons, helmet, jackets, trousers, boots, etc.) Other stuff as sleeping bag, headlamp and walking sticks can be rented. They provide a good equipment quality. All of the guides we had spoke english very good and are experts for mountaineering. Especially we would like to mention Gaby, Obbi and Juan, they do a really good job. The office is very organized and the staff very helpful. We had to shift the Huayna Potosi tour twice because we got sick, but this was not a problem at all. The Pico Austria is simple one of the most beautiful hikes we have ever done. It is a very good first hike in high altitude, because its technically very easy. We are very proud to made it to the summit of the Huayna Postosi, but anyway it was a really hard hike. We definitely recommend to do the 3 day tour because of acclimatization reasons.
