If you want to climb the Huyana Potosi in a very special and challenging way, this is the right place for you. Together with Irinero we climbed the mountain on the Francesca route. The very steep route ends at the south summit. But no worry. Unlike other providers, Irinero walks with you after arrival along the entire ridge to the north summit at 6088m. You have an indescribably beautiful view of the surrounding area but also of the Huyana Potosi itself. The 2-day tour was well organized and you will be served delicious food. Went with Irineo to Pequeno Alpamayo on the more advanced/technical "direct" route where you get to scale up ~150 meters and was able to reach summit thanks to the help and care of Irineo. This is a smaller travel agency and if you want a more authentic, non commercial alpinism experience, come visit Irineo and Flora :)

We climbed the direct route (south face) of Pequeño Alpamayo together with Irineo and we totally can recommend to book your tour here. I went up Pequeno Alpamayo, Huayna Potosi and Illimani with Mountain Illimani Tour Operator. We were lucky enough to climb with Irinero. He answered all questions we have and helped organise the logistics of what were wanted. This company is one of the main ones in La Paz and has an excellent track record. It is good to deal directly with the guide sometimes. Also, we felt the pace was good on the mountains, which is key at such altitudes.

I had a lot of fun the guide was great, the equipment was great, really good and professional agancy.

By far the best tour operator in La Paz. I climbed Illimani and Huayna Potosi with them. The agency is owned by Flora and Irineo. They were born both in Pinaya, the last village at the foot of the Illimani. Irineo climbed it the first time when he was 17 and therefore, if you are planning to climb the white giant, there's no better person than him. But in general, everything was perfect, from the food to the guiding, and,  important as well, the prices are among the best you can find in La Paz. My suggestion is, if you are planning to climb mountains, to go directly to ask info to Irineo and Flora. You will feel immediately a good connection. We went to huayna potosi with this compagny. It was probably the best experience I did in 6 months traveling around the world. We had a great guide (thanks Ramiro), good food and great equipment. We had a better price than what the others compagnies offered us. You can go eyes closed with Mountain Illimani Tour Operator !

We booked a 10-day trek of the Cordillera Real and the 3-day summit for Huyana Potosi. I first messaged on WhatsApp and they instantly created an itinerary that fit our needs. After my friend and I met them in-person we instantly felt comfortable. They were so sweet and upgraded us to an English speaking guide after we booked. Overall the trek was alright and what stood out the most in their follow-up in wanting our feedback on the guide & trek experience. Next! We did the summit of Huyana Potosi. My friend unfortunately got sick at 5,800m. But the best thing about this company is they listen & immediately took initiative for my friend to descend to lower camp to feel better. I felt safe with them the entire time! Highly recommend!

We booked our guided 3 day El Choro trek with them, and had a great experience. Our guide Alfredo was very nice, helpful and accommodating to our wishes. We also booked Huayna Potosí, and our guide Ramiro was excellent as well.

I have been with Irineo on many peaks. He is a good guide and cook. Mostly he has the best prices on the Sagarnaga street, so go check out with him. Standard tours like Huayna Potosi, Illimani or Pequeno Alpamayo are joy for him, he has enough experience to do a nice and safe tour for you. I have been with him also on some more hard ones - Illampu, Mururata south face and Illimani traverse, so if you are more experienced he is the right guide to ask.

Great trek of 3 days! Just a bit unfortunate the guide was not more talkative and explaining from himself. All the rest was great!

Irineo and I were on the Pequeño Alpamayo and the Huayna Potosí (connected by the Condoriri Trek). It was important to me to have met the guide beforehand - and Irineo was in the office. I can only agree with the previous review. If you have experience in mountaineering and are looking for an experienced guide for wilder routes, Irineo is the right place for you. Ascension to Nevado Illimani with Mountain Illimani. Irineo, the manager of the agency, acted as a guide and the climb was impressive. The services provided were: transportation, meals, overnight stay in a high altitude tent and high altitude guidance and all of them were offered with competence.

We have hired the services of Illimani Mountain for the ascent of Huayna Potosí (6088 m). Our mountain guide Sebastian was absolutely professional and attentive to our needs at all times. He even offered us to complete the climb along the ridge, instead of the normal route, which gave the climb an extra alpine touch. Hiring with Illimani Mountain is highly recommended.
