Great location & free breakfast and happy hour was great. Room was spacious. Only issue was on the service end. Arrived with no towels in room which was a. It odd. (4pm). Called and said they would bring them. Went out for evening back at 10pm. No towels. Called and they brought 1 (for 4 people) and I said we needed a few more. The gal said she would “be right back”. Woke up in the morning ready to check out - still no towels. Called front desk. They said they would have none available until 2pm (three hours after check out?!) She wasn’t very helpful simply stating that this is what happens when guests too many extra towels. I explained that we had no towels at all when we checked in. I am not a fussy traveler but when paying $300+ per night I would like the luxury of taking a shower 🤷‍♀️

The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is great, very close to old downtown and the restaurants. But here’s why I’m giving them 1 star. My car was stolen on May 21, 2023. Sunday from their own garage. They claim that it was a public garage however Embassy is the one charging you for parking in the garage. The morning my car got stolen, I to the front desk after I realized my car wasn’t there, security came and told me that when he did his rounding at 6am, he said he saw 3 guys broke into my car and drove away with it, he witnessed it and did nothing, not even called the cops after the incident. Because the cops weren’t called until I went to the front desk and complained. I was able to retrieve my car back due to GPS system but my car was trashed. Another frustrating part, as a Diamond Member is that there were no managers or supervisors that day to accommodate or sympathize with us. The only people who were there to deal with all these were the clueless receptionist with no idea what to do either. I expressed my disappointment and asked the front desk to inform the management and I would like for them to call me. What’s crazy is that after all these, I found out that a week before there was already another stolen from the same Embassy suites hotel garage and still they didn’t do anything extra to prevent future crimes like this. Let me stress this again, it is a paid parking garage at the hotel hit no security or cameras to protect your vehicles and guests. Until now, I’m still waiting for management to call me so we can at least discuss my concern. Me and my family were very disappointed.

Avoid this hotel if you can. Arrived at 4:00 pm to a lobby packed with well over 100 guests waiting in line to check in. Took over two hours in line with nowhere to sit to check in. We weren’t settled in our room until 7:00pm and by then too late to take a planned nap after a long travel day. Complete disaster. Breakfast common area floor and tables were not cleaned once during our stay. I mean filthy. Cleaned my own table with napkins and water before my wife and daughter could sit. We were the first guests to walk in the door for breakfast meaning no guest did this just before us. They just didn’t clean period. Put breakfast out on top of yesterdays happy hour mess. Chips and pretzels smashed on the floor everywhere. Sticky tables. Literally nothing had been cleaned from happy hour the night prior. Outside furniture was covered in bird droppings and nobody cleaned this during our two day stay either. For the rooms, they were big which was nice but everything was really tired. Beds were completely shot and in desperate need of replacement so back pain for both my wife and I led to terrible sleep and a tired trip. Mold on the shower, which for the enormous size of the room, and bathroom felt smaller than an RV shower. Couldn’t really clean myself without brushing up against the shower walls or bumping into the shower nozzle changing the temperature to too hot or too cold. Soap dispensers in shower didn’t work. Room safe was broken so we had to hide our valuables around the room and we skipped on housekeeping as a result during our stay. Internet was SUPER slow. Almost unusable. Asked for a manager several times during our stay but nobody could seem to find him. Front desk staff was trying but clearly not empowered to solve guest issues on their own. Spent an hour on the phone with Hilton customer service and they weren’t helpful either. Wasted my time and gave no resolution. Extremely dissatisfied. I would not recommend this hotel.

It was a great experience staying at this hotel because of following reasons: 1. Location: As it is centrally located , it is easy to walk within the city 2. Staff: The staff is very courteous and helpful. Check in and checkout formalities were very quick. Special mention about the staff person who helped us with the luggage at checkout. 3. Breakfast: Although the options were limited, quality of food was good 4. Free drinks coupons: 2 Free drinks coupons per day of stay were given, which is a good option 5. Rooms - Although the room was a little dated, it was very clean and tidy. 6. Waiting area: Hotel allows you to park your car in front of hotel for 15 minutes, which is decent amount of time to complete the formalities. I just felt that the parking at 35$ was a little expensive, so you can find cheaper parking lots nearby. Overall, the hotel was worth the price. I recommend

I enjoyed my short stay at Embassy Suites Montreal. The staff was amazing, the food was very delicious especially the vast variety of choices for breakfast. The room was large and comfortable. I even had a fireplace and jacuzzi in the room. The gym was convenient. I will definitely go back when next I visit Montreal. Thanks to Bernard in the breakfast room and everyone who made my stay comfortable.

This hotel is terrible. This is my first time to write such a bad comment for a hotel. I can’t believe that after we put “do not disturb” on the door, there is still a cleaner directly uses the key and breaks into our room for four times in a morning. When we tried to communicate with her, she yelled to us and refused to communicate. Moreover, the ground is dirty. It is also hard to get breakfast because the supply is little and slow. But the manager at the front desk saves one star for the hotel, which is the only advantage of this hotel.

We have stayed at this property dozens of times, if not more, over more than a decade. To say this stay was disappointing is an understatement. We were placed first in room 215. The telephones didn't work, the kitchenette sink tap sprayed everywhere, and the condition of the room (furniture, walls, etc.) was in serious need of repair as they were very damaged. The hotel moved us to room 806 which was marginally better. We decided to stick it out as we were there for our anniversary and just wanted to get settled. It's important to note that the shower had what looked like mold, and lots of rust. The bath also needed to be fixed. Ordered room service - food had no dome or cover of any kind, it was cold, no condiments were provided, and they were delivered by an employee who was wearing his mask below his nose, during a pandemic. During breakfast service, employees kept lowering their masks to talk, and guests were not enforced to wear their masks properly, or to wear the gloves provided when handling the buffet utensils. We have loved this hotel for years because of the quality and for it usually being worth the price. Having experienced it this way, severely hurt our impression of the hotel, and will likely not return unless some serious changes and upgrades are made to justify the cost typical of the Hilton brand.

First, I just want to say our room was immaculate. Everything about our room was perfect. However, almost everything else wasn't. Checking in was a poor experience. We arrived at the hotel at 2:30pm and were told our rooms will be "guaranteed" ready by 4:00pm. Come 4pm our room still was not ready and was told they are short on staff and therefore won't be ready until 4:30pm. Why didn't they tell us they were short on staff when we arrived at 2:30pm and won't be ready until a later time? Instead of waiting around the hotel we would have checked our bags and gone somewhere and come back later. What made things worse is that one of the two elevators was unavailable to use. The single elevator in-service was usually packed by the time it opened on our floor making us wait 2 or 3 passes before we were finally able to get on. The onsite restaurant provided excellent service. The included breakfast was excellent. If it weren't for the issues I had I would have easily given this hotel another star or two. I figure the issues are only temporary so I would recommend this hotel for future stays.

We were really impressed when we first arrived. Free drinks at the bar and breakfast included. The food in the restaurant was ok, but the server was excellent. The room was nice. Had to go down to reception several times because they don't answer the phone. We also called ahead of booking to make sure they had a pool. The man on the phone assured us they do have a pool, then proceeded to quote me for rooms at a rate higher than the rates posted to the website. Well, I have a very disappointed 3 year old because they do not have a pool. No, we did not call the wrong hotel, I made sure.

The service is super friendly - but super lacking. For “suites” it’s disappointing that there is nothing useful in the actual suite - no cutlery, no utensils, nothing. And when you call and ask for some, no one answers the reception phone. Going down to reception isn’t much better - they’re completely overwhelmed. They say they’ll send something and they don’t. Breakfast is average and always out of stuff. Considering the price of the rooms, there are definitely improvements to be made here. Really disappointed. One positive is the absolutely lovely older man walking around and making everyone smile. So we can at least be disappointed but in good humour.

We stayed here 3 nights while on vacation in Montreal. The location is very convenient to the convention center and the old city with lots of things to do within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We liked having the living room/kitchen area to relax and spread out. The comp breakfast in the morning was good and very convenient as there aren't many good breakfast restaurant choices in the area. It was nice to have the comp drink in the afternoon as well and we availed ourselves of the outside seating which was nice. I'd stay there again when returning to Montreal.

Great stay. We were greeted but very nice staff and really liked the room we booked. We’ll probably make this our god to place when we come to Montreal next time. The room was nice and clean. The concierge was very fast with all our requests. Downside was that there was no housekeeping while staying although we were there for a week so things go kind of old. We booked the jacuzzi room but unfortunately the controls were not working. We still had good bubble baths.

Main points: -Toilet not cleaned, had a pile of poop still inside (the bathroom smelled terrible) + did not properly clean the toilet after complaining several times -Shampoo and Conditioner bottes empty -Kitchen area reeked of cigarettes -Overall room not properly cleaned In more detail: All of Embassy Suites good traits is overwhelmed by its horrible negative traits. Cleanliness, customer service, and environment is arguably one of the most important qualities of a hotel. However Embassy failed failed to meet basic hotel standards regarding these key qualities. Cleanliness and hygiene should be prioritized in any hotel, an important reason being health. Waste left in toilets can be a very serious health hazard if left unattended. The room the family I stayed in, the toilet had a lot of excrement left in the toilet and smeared on the toilet seat and lid as well. This immediately made the toilet highly unsanitary and the entire bathroom smell nauseating. According to the Hotels Act in Quebec under the Tourist Accommodation Act, chapter H-3, 11 (c) "to ensure the protection of travellers and the cleanliness and proper maintenance of establishments;". This was not followed. The toilet left uncleaned and clogged with poop. In addition, more garbage not thrown out could also be found, such as a box of Smarties. When asked to switch rooms they said they were fully booked so we asked for the toilets to be cleaned, as it should have been in the first place. The staff simply unclogged to the toilet and just left. We had to call again and had a lot of difficulty just trying to have a properly cleaned toilet. In the end, we had to clean the toilet ourselves. The unsanitary toilet was not the only problem in the washroom. The shower did not shampoo or conditioner. The shampoo and conditioners costing around ~$60-$70 would have been a waste of money, so we could not shower nicely during our stay. The washroom of the room we stayed in was disgusting, it smelled horrible. Though it was the only horrible smelling area. The kitchen area reeked of cigarettes and made it unpleasant to eat or go around that area. These major problems ruined overall the trip.

Location is perfect for seeing Old Montreal and other parts of the city. Rooms are large and service is excellent. Love the breakfast and happy hour provided in the price. We received outstanding service from Betty at the front desk. Betty was warm, welcoming and consistently helpful.

Nice hotel with good location close to subway station, downtown and historic centre. Room was quiet and clean, bathtub was perfect, bed as well. I slept really good. Breakfast is not bad, but nothing special. I like the bar at the corner with funny bartender. Evening reception is nice plus, but nothing extra.

Can't beat the location! In the heart of it all in Montréal. Our room was great! Elevators were very busy. Be prepared to wait a while. Parking garage is a nightmare with very narrow curves that cannot really accommodate 2 cars at a time. The breakfast was basic with them running out of items and not being staffed enough to clean the tables quickly when people left. Overall, I recommend this hotel.

WiFi is terrible. Not able to connect to wifi even with a promotional code. Front desk was not able to help. Hotel is dated. Broken lamps which were fixed, no coffee cups so I had to ask for some. Rooms are spacious and clean but for the price it should have working WiFi. Parking is expensive. Bathroom is huge but the shower is tiny, as if an afterthought. Cheap shower. Lamp shades were dirty and dented. Arm chair stank of body odour. You do not get what you pay for.

Positives: - Free breakfast with made to order option. - Free happy hour drinks and chips every evening. - Great location. Situation between Old Port, downtown and Chinatown. - Decent sized rooms Negatives: - Decors are very outdated. Furnitures really show ages. - Smallish bed. Double beds felt smaller than regular full size. - Our room wasn't cleaned very well. When we first arrived, we had some medicine bottles in our bedroom and a froze bottle of -water in the fridge. - Service quality is also questionable. We booked a room for 4 people and only received one set of towels when we arrived. Contacted front desk twice for additional towels and they were delivered until 3 hours later.

We travel to Montreal often and Embassy Suites is great value for an Old Port Stay. You receive tickets for free drinks for happy hour and a free sit down breakfast. Parking is easy in the underground garage. The rooms are a bit dated and worn and could stand to be freshened, but the beds are comfortable and we have never had any issues while staying here. Bernie and Janelle, waitstaff in the restaurant are amazing! They remember us each time we come (Janelle even remembers our names and drinks - even if it's been a month or two!). They take good care of us when we are in the restaurant. We'll definitely be back!

I've stayed at this hotel probably four (4) times over the last 10 years. The decline of the hotel is now obvious. The rooms are great, don't get me wrong. But they are tired. The kitchen cabinets are breaking and don't close. The kitchen is no longer stocked with dishes or cutlery. You can ask for them, but it's totally inconvenient. We needed to use the pullout for our teen, but there were no sheets in the room. Again, eventually provided, but inconvenient, especially on the premium floor. The service is very good, but room service dishes stayed in the hall for almost 24 hours. Everything is starting to show a lack of effort. Staff is professional and courteous. The breakfast buffet is very good, but it could use more choices for vegetarians. With so many other new hotels in the area, I'm not sure this one is worth it anymore.

We stayed here for 7 nights... I was a bit skeptical after reading through the reviews at first, but I think some of the comments are over the top. First, the service is pretty good, very responsive and excellent in the restaurant. Each guest gets free breakfast and drink (incl. alcohol one) per night of staying. The breakfast is good (has everything you would expect). The only improvement they need is to modernize the hotel. It is a bit dated now, it would be hard to compete with the newer hotels. Our toilet was leaking but the hotel immediately put us into another room.

Location is good - very near tourist locations like the waterfront, Notre Dame cathedral. Public transport options nearby too. Service sucks. We requested multiple times in a day (maybe seven times) to have our room cleaned. They never did. They gave us snacks for the hassle. But snacks can't compensate for a cleaner room, fresh towels, change of sheets, etc. (We had to repeatedly request for even just new towels, if they couldn't clean our room, cause we had already placed our towels on the floor to indicate we wanted a new batch when we asked for room service in the morning. We came back at the end of the day, nothing cleaned.) Breakfast food isn't great. Coffee was always unavailable. I had to always inform their staff that the coffee had run out (2 out of the 2 mornings I was there). Nothing great also, just eggs and bacon and sausages, same thing each day. (Well I was only there for 2 days). Room is good though. Spacious. Bathroom had complete toilettries.

Hilton Honors members be aware and I would recommend staying somewhere else. I stayed in December 2022 for 3 nights. The reservation was for three nights, I stayed for three nights, and paid for three nights. However the hotel checked me out of the room the night before I left therefore only got credit for 2 nights. Therefore limiting your progress towards next years status. The Diamond Desk can’t help correct it and the hotel seem incompetent to help. I have called multiple times. This in addition to the large upfront deposit they require makes me think of a third world country hotel.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff in the bar/restaurant are very good and breakfast is good. Rooms are looking tired/worn and are dark. inside (poor lighting). The room has a fridge, microwave, and a dishwasher. Ironically, there are no dishes or cutlery! The biggest concern is customer service at reception and the check in experience. I see there are other comments about rude staff. Unfortunately, this is accurate. They were unable to check people in even at 5:30 (Check in is 4:00). We arrived at 2:00 and were turned away and told to come back at 4:00 only to find a lobby full of guests waiting in a long line. Staff offered no information or apology and were actually quite rude when you finally got to the counter. Only after suggesting that they at minimum provide some bottled water to the delayed guests did they begin to do something for guests! Vincent (the reception manager!) was extremely rude and uncaring about the experience. Customer satisfaction is not their priority despite the sign on the counter that says, "we'll make it right". Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

The rooms are old. The furniture chipped, damaged. Barely any towels, no pool. You call reception downstairs no 9ne answers for 30 minutes straight. The buffet breakfast was the worst ever but the brown guy chef and brown guy at the front reception were very kind. Never would go again waste of money

We just came back from our weekend in Montreal at this hotel. Pros: the beds were very comfortable and the bed themselves were clean and the bedding as well, and they right away provided us with a clean and cozy cot upon request and the room was spacious. The breakfast was great because they have a section where they make omelettes and eggs your way, upon request. Cons: oh boy, was our room dirty. I'm pregnant and I have hyperemesis and was not happy being stuck to that toilet bowl, let me tell you. When we notified the staff they were quick to respond to us and mention that they would speak to the manager and arrange something, and the best they could do was 35 dollars off. The carpet was so dirty I could see hairs and it looked like it needed a good wash. Our floor had a smell and the elevator made a weird smell. The sofa bed was stained with what looked like some kind of liquid and it was gross. The cupboard in the bathroom sink was broken. I wish I took pictures but I was too nauseous during our trip to do it. Honestly I hope not all rooms look like this and I'm assuming because we got a Hotwire deal they gave us the dirtiest and worse room in the hotel. It was not worth the money we paid and we were sad to not have been further accommodated for this inconvenience. I was just too sick for us to do something about it but I was happy to go back to our clean and cozy home.

This hotel was quite nice. Having breakfast on the weekend until 10:30 was great. The look was nice and the location was really the clincher. Right by Old Montreal, the walk there wasn't bad at all. The only things that I didn't particularly like were the bed and the lack of light in the building. It was kinda dark. Other then that, it was fantastic. If we ever get back to Montreal, we'll stay there again.

Stayed here for a night, the room was nice and clean. The free breakfast was very good. They had a variety of choices for breakfast. The check in and out was pretty quick and hassle free. The down part were that they only had one elevator working at the time we stayed there and that parking was not the greatest. The hotel also gave us 2 free adult drinks which we had to redeem between 5-7pm. Over a good stay, location is prime and very close to Chinatown.

The best stay and best vacation we had for 2 nights at Montreal Everything is so perfect here The rooms are huge, we opted for a room with king size bed and sofa cum bed , the mattresses were so comfortable... The bathroom has jacuzzi and standing shower. The towels were clean and the washrooms too, excellent supplies of bath soaps , shampoo and paper napkins Huge fridge , microwave , pantry area , 2 complementary water bottles The room had a good size centre table , main desk and 4 side tables , with a 2 big closets 1 full sized mirror and 1 half sized mirror Overall a very clean and upgraded place Happy hour every day from 5pm to 7pm, loved loved loved this place Huge spread of options for breakfast from 630am to 930 am everyday.... And all neatly managed.the front desk is so cheerful and welcoming that we made it a point that I am recommending this hotel to everyone. Fully recommended 5 stars Must visit Check out the pics

Great location, very good service by staff, their breakfast is excellent and their complimentary drinks after 5 pm is a good treat and encourages customers to come back. This hotel is right beside the convention center and is accessible to restaurants. The only downside is that the rooms are dated. They’re clean but dated. I’d still go to this hotel but not my first choice,

I spent 10 days at the Embassy Suites, what a great experience! The staff were amazing, the rooms were clean and comfortable, Donald at the front door was super friendly and helpful and the staff in the restaurant were exceptional. Great food, great service. Thank you to everyone who made our stay amazing.

Really tired hotel. The staff are nice, but this hotel desperately needs a complete renovation. At almost $1000 a night we got a 2BR suite with only one bathroom! There were only three towels for four guests, and two coffee pods. It was actually funny it is so bad. We could not believe it and asked for a different suite or even 2 rooms which were not available. Breakfast was actually disgusting with dirty plates and utensils, and not enough capacity for the size of the hotel. Hugely disappointing. Avoid if you can.

This is a decent hotel with many good employees. The room is fine but the kitchen is an ornament to be looked at only! Nothing is provided to use the kitchen, no plates, no silverware, no pots or pans, no baking pan, no utensils, no paper towels, no egg flipper, no knife to cut bread. We went out and bought a pizza and focaccia. When we got back to our room we had requested needed items from the front desk to cook with and eat with. The only items provided were plates and silver ware, nothing to cook with or on. The concierge tried to help us, he could not, housekeeping found us an old frying pan, and that was it. This place needs new management, current is third rate. Do not come here to rent a suite if you want a useable kitchen, here they are to look at only!!

Upon arrival we check in and the room looks ok. But when we took out the pull out couch, the mattress had stains that looked like the mattress was pooped on and had beg bugs on it. So we called the front desk and used rollaway beds instead. The restaurant was mediocre. The food was good. However, the place was swarming with fruit flies and the service was sub-par. The only redeeming quality of the hotel was the location, it's adjacent to the metro station which is convenient.

Room was okay, spacious but outdated. The bathroom was spacious as well however the corner shower was small given the size of the tub. The TV was small, considering the size of the room. The fireplace was loose and it looked like there was some mold in the corner of the bedroom by the bathroom. Not sure if this was just the room I was given or if this is typical.

Upon check in very friendly and helpful staff. Later on in the evening when headed to bed, I untucked the sheets as noticed blood on the fitted sheet. I also realized that the heat/thermostat was broken. I went downstairs to let the front staff know…although polite he asked that I wait and that he’d send someone up. This was very frustrating for me as I had requested a new room because I had to be up early the next day for a conference. The gentleman who was sent up, again was kind but couldn’t figure out how to fix the heat. Another team member had to come help. In addition, the bloody sheet was left in my room on the chair. Later I noticed how dirty the bathroom was as well (hair everywhere). All in all I felt uncomfortable, not heard and frustrated. I was quite disappointed.

We stayed here for a week and felt very comfortable and safe. The halls were quiet. We intentionally got a room away from the elevator (because it's usually noisy, and it was). The room was a bit light on soap / shampoo. We're the type to not want housekeeping in our room every day; we'd prefer the privacy and security of only asking for what we need. So we had to ask for some soap and towels. Not a big deal. The hotel kept the lobby REALLY warm for it only being 50-60 outside. That was a bit uncomfortable when waiting for the elevator. They also were painting and servicing the elevators on the last few days of our trip, so we spent a lot of time waiting for them. Otherwise, the service was awesome. Very friendly and helpful people. We only got to use the breakfast coupons twice. I'll never understand why they stop serving breakfast at 9:30 during the week. My husband has insomnia and needs to sleep in a bit. The breakfast buffet was alright. I'm sure we paid a lot for it but the quality was just meh. I did appreciate the hotel's holiday decor (we came the week before Halloween). I would stay here again, and maybe let housekeeping come through a bit more to keep us stocked.

Great location close to the Basilica as well as the train station and other activities. Good service at the front desk. The breakfast staff was a bit rude. Food was decent and the complementary evening reception was good. The rooms are a bit small and the lobby area needs to be a bit tidier. Net net a good place.

Although on the pricier side this Embassy Suites has many amenities that will leave you pleased with the stay. First is location. The hotel is located close to restaurants, attractions, shops and museums. But the rooms really are what makes this hotel, they are huge and spacious. If you are staying for a few days it gives that relaxing atmosphere not to be cramped for space. The rooms have separate TV and lounge area, kitche (full size) and master grand bedroom with separate bath/toilet. The lobby area has a very large dinning area and bar. The free continental breakfast has eggs, protien, breads/pastry and cold and warm cereals, a perfect start to the day and money saver! If in Montreal again this will be our stay!

The staff here is great, especially front desk agent, Kelly, and the night concierge. The room was large but dated. Carpet and couch seem old. It looked clean when I checked but someone else's dirty socks were on the floor in the closet. After one night, we left a big tip for the cleaning person in the morning because she plunged the toilet for us (note, it was clear water). Unfortunately, she did not clean the room at all. My hair was still on the bathroom floor where I brushed it the night before. The kind of place you don't want your bare feet to touch the floor. That's not comfortable. Happy hour is 5-7pm and you get 2 free drinks per day. That was cool. Free breakfast was okay. Made to order omlettes, powdered scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, oatmeal, potatoes, yogurt, apples, coffee/tea. By Day 2 there was no way I could eat it a third day, but that's just me.

Location is perfect, right by the metro and a few blocks from Old Town. Service was great and staff was always attentive. Breakfast was ok, cooked to order breakfast is good, but area by buffet was a little sticky. In fact, all of the tables were kind of dirty. But I either ate in my room or outside so I didn’t mind. Room was clean, a bit dated but clean. Facilities (gym) were nice as well. Overall decent hotel, but for the location and price you can’t beat it.

Phenomenal stay. I really appreciated everything about it. The room was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly helpful. When I mentioned that the WiFi was spotty, they had an extender set up for me within the hour. The AC in the room was great. The bathroom was beautiful and always clean. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff there were always very helpful despite the high demand from guests at that hour. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Spent a week in Montreal and stayed at the Embassy. It was a super location in downtown, close to Chinatown, just around the corner from the Basillica, close to many attractions and parks. The reception and concierge staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, the serving staff in the restaurant especially Katherine so friendly and welcoming. I especially loved the omelette at breakfast cooked right in front of you so you can order it made how you like it and see that it’s freshly made. The room service team were so friendly and welcoming and very helpful. The rooms were kept spotless everyday and it was appreciated. Our room needed someone to give it some repairs and sprucing up and the room would easily be a 5/5, for instance the bathtub jets no longer worked, the doors had some issues of either not being able to be opened or closed all the way, past signs of rough housing cracks in the wall, baseboards damaged, kitchen sprayed from the top and bottom of the tap. All in all we enjoyed our stay and our time in Montreal!

My partner and I just finished our stay with this hotel. We attended a wedding in Old Montreal this weekend and looked for something close by. Overall our stay was enjoyable. I felt the staff were knowledge and very accommodating for us. The room itself was clean, the bed and pull out couch were comfortable and the room was spacious. Parking and the location was great. There were a few issues to note, the hotel could use some updating as the halls were very dark in lighting and not inviting The walls need some paint and other reno's, some doors didn't open easily and would stick to the floor. Their breakfast was decent however we started at 10 and they were missing several options that could have been refilled. The main breakfast items were available. Certainly if you are looking for a few nights stay in Old Montreal with a comfortable place to sleep, this hotel would be a great option. Close to Windsor Station and the Bell Centre.

Rooms are dated, breakfast buffet is a mess and lacks variety. This is not the hotel's fault, but guests would wait until food was restocked and come and take all the food or bananas without sparing some for the rest of the guests. We stopped going to breakfast at the hotel after a couple days. Our bathroom had some drywall damage and the shower was way too small. I am a petite individual and kept bumping into the walls. The main draw for this hotel was the location, the friendly staff and it's proximity to Old Town and the train station.

Room is ok, but been in other Embassy Suites and some are better equipped. Example, same table side lamps but with usb sockets, but not here. Breakfast is quite low level, definitely not 4*, except for the eggs made to order. Staff was nice and the free drinks on arrival are definitely a plus. Close to old town.

Premium room was not as clean as past visits. A little disappointed for the amount you pay especially when advertised that extra cleaning is in effect because of covid. The food was good as well the service.

Definitely one of my favorite Montreal hotel from now on. Nice location. Rooms are spacious. Front desk was super helpful. The suite was large with a huge whirlpool bathtub, shower, refrigerator and a nice view. Free breakfast, happy hour two free drinks every evening (5pm-7.30pm) The hotel is clean & Parking is available for an additional charge. Overall, it's pretty much perfect.

Very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived Friday September 3, 2021, we were sent to a room which was not cleaned (Room 506). Before we left Toronto, we called the hotel around 2:00 p.m. to confirm our reservation and were advised that our room had already been cleaned. Once in the room, we found towels on couch where a wet person had been sitting, a bed that was dishevelled and unmade, food on the counter, towels on the floor in the bathroom and used soap in the soapdish. This was a King suite with Jacuzzi. We went down to reception. They apologized and sent us to room 909 and advised that this was "an upgrade" i.e. a King suite with a fireplace. The room looked essentially the same as 506 but it had a fake fireplace which doesn't even produce heat, just strictly for ambiance. Room 506 had a window open for fresh air. We saw a sticker on the window in 909 that said if we would like that window open, speak to reception and they will unlock it.... when we called reception, they said they only unlock windows for "long term" guests. I advised that we were staying 3 nights and they said that this wasn't long enough and refused to unlock the window. The next evening September 4, we returned to our room 909 to see that it had not been cleaned or restocked. When we called reception, we were advised that due to COVID, only "long term" guests could have their rooms cleaned. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. Shameful, that hotels blame COVID, when most guests have had their Vaccines and use this as a cost saving excuse to not have to service the rooms. Yet, when we called to reception, an assistant came up to bring the requested amenities without fear. We had to call multiple times for Towels, coffee/cups/cream/sugar, soap etc. The coffee maker only worked on our first morning. On the second morning, the coffee maker flooded the counter. We called reception for a new coffee maker and it also flooded the counter. The coffee provided was exceptionally mediocre. We then went down to your restaurant for coffee and once again the coffee was exceptionally mediocre. On one morning, one of the servers was operating your espresso machine and offered nice coffee. On another morning, the server advised that he had been ordered not to make coffee for the guests and yet on another morning they were only permitted to make espresso (no Lattes or other drinks). The food at breakfast was acceptable but your cook didn’t know how to make “scrambled eggs”. He simply cracked the eggs on the griddle and mushed them around with his spatula. We didn’t enjoy the eggs “out of a carton”. We discovered on our second day that you could request “real eggs”. With Tax $350/night …. Not worth it!

Hotel stay was amazing. Suite was very roomy & clean. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was great, omelettes were delicious. The restaurant food was excellent. Best pizza I've ever eaten. We had 2 free drinks every evening. I would definitely return.

We stayed in a suite, but facing a back alley so the view was nothing. The room has a separate bedroom. Sitting room, kitchenette and a large bathroom with a jetted tub. The shower however was quite small. Very comfortable bed and it was nice a clean. With the room we got One free drink per person each night between 5-7 plus breakfast each morning. Good value for the money.

The checkin process was quick, staff is very nice, all of our request at the reception were answered with professionalism in a timely fashion. Free breakfast was pretty decent and free drink tickets are a nice addition to the overall experience. That being said, the hotel feels dated and not very well maintained. The bathroom doors don’t lock, the carpet and furniture felt run down. Felt like the cleaning was not done very well across the entire hotel.

Their suite is very spacious and well equipped. However some in-room amenities are showing their age and should be repaired/replaced (see pics). I called room services for fresh towels but no one answered after multiple tries; left voice messages and tried front desk, still no towel came. On day 2 the main elevator was out of order for hours and caused major delays. The included cook-to-order breakfast turned out to be a buffet breakfast plus cook-to-order eggs or omelettes.

Good hot breakfast. The staff are very attentive and accommodating. The changed our room after we checked in and requested a street facing view! The servers at the restaurant are super sweet, I came in the restaurant 5 mind before the kitchen closed and Janelle left whatever she was doing, jumped to my service ave got my order in! Another guy actually got our order up to our room because we ordered quite a bit one night and he was sure we would not be able to handle it. It wasn't even his job to do that. It's centrally located and walkable to all that old Montreal has to offer. Just one disappointing experience was with the cook who makes your omelets for breakfast, it would help if he could be a little less curt and avoid snide remarks.

great hotel and good staff, despite pandemic, they are doing the best to serve clients. Staff at reception and staff at kitchen and complimentary breakfast. clean rooms . Gives us a sense of normalcy in the pandemic stricken world. if you book early the prices are pretty decent for a 4 star Hotel. Well done Hilton!

  • 1/5 James A. 10 months ago on Google
I'd like to give the staff a 4 star review because of the kindness, politeness, & professionalism...but I can't. Every employee I delt with was great but everyone of them new 1 thing - there is no wifi in this hotel. I didn't come to Montreal to hangout in my hotel but my teenage daughter felt differently. Don't book this hotel if you need wifi. We never had it.

The hotel room was wonderful. Me and my friend are students on spring break staying at the embassy, we got a great deal a couple weeks ago considering that we are students. Our first impression was good. However we were dining in the restaurant attached to the hotel, after finishing our meal and writing down our billing information, we tipped but not very much considering we are students travelling we don’t have a lot to give but we didn’t want to give nothing considering the service wasn’t terrible. However we could see our food sitting for 10 minutes and it took quite a while to get our bill, although it was busy so I’d like to give her the benefit of the doubt. Although after leaving our table and standing in the hallway next to the dining room waiting for the elevator, the waitress came up to us enraged about the ammount that we tipped. She started arguing with us and telling us that we should tip a minimum of 18% to 20% and it costed her money to serve us, she was basically yelling at us about her tip not being good enough after yelling at us she walked away before we could say anything considering I was translating what she said to my friend who doesn’t speak French. I would like to emphasize the fact that we are students and we don’t have very much to give. My experience was quite disappointing, considering the waitress chased after us to argue about how much we tipped her and how she was unsatisfied. if we had more we would have tipped more, but we only gave what we could.. very disappointing.

Amazing experience as it was my moms first time in Montréal! The service and the staff were so classy & so polite! It's always nice to have a happy hour with drinks & snacks. The breakfast was amazing as well. The room that we got was beyond amazing as well. Way beyond our expectations. Thank you and we will be there in the future!

Not good value for money. At the order and in the reception we mentioned that we are staying with 2 kids, but still sofa-bed was not ready when we get the room at 9PM. Only one towel waited for us at the bathroom. The dish-wash was full with dirty dishes and there were no detergent. There were no electric kettle in the room. So our first hour at the hotel room was accompanied with 4 different people visiting, each one responsible for only peace. The breakfast was poor, every single day the same as previous, bacon over dried… Wi-fi did not work properly. Two good things are: location and big master bed with no creaks.

It is unacceptable that this hotel gave a room key to other guests and that they walked into my room! That is awful and careless security and safety! The hotel room is dirty and it takes forever to get blankets and towels. None of the service lines work and I had to walk down only to hear a bunch of other guests waiting a long time (1.5 hours) for towels or toilet paper! I expected 1000% better for a HILTON EMBASSY Suites. This level of service and room quality is a motel 8 quality.

I was a bit worried after reading many negative reviews, but we had a great stay. Our room was upgraded (complimentary) and the two bedroom suite was wonderful for our family of 4. The room showed its age but was super clean and the beds were comfortable. Location is great - central to everything. Great stay.

A very comfortable and convenient hotel in the middle of old Montreal. Affordable, quiet and clean. The free breakfasts were a great way to start each morning, as long as you got there before the crush beginning at 8 am. The free happy hour drinks were a real treat at the end of the day. Housekeeping was prompt in getting us extra towels and sheets when requested. There were too few elevators for a hotel this size, especially during busy times, but that is hardly something that can be remedied easily. I left my AirPods in the room at checkout; they were found by housekeeping staff and the front office made sure they were couriered to my home within hours. Much appreciated!

Really friendly staff. Great breakfast. Finding the parking was a bit tricky for someone who isn’t from the city. Could use more signs. Very close to the Metro! Super convenient location to explore Montreal. My room was massive. Took off one star because the bedding was quite thin and my room was cold even with the heat on max. Despite that the bed was very comfortable, and no bed bugs!

We stayed for 2 nights and here are the pros and cons: Pros: - I liked how spacious the room was - The location is great. - Everyone was really nice. - Parking price is not bad compared to other hotels. - Free breakfast included. - Bed is comfortable. Cons: -The restaurant and room service close at 09:30 pm (when we booked it said 11:00pm). - Our room was not cleaned even though the cleaning lady came into our room to take out the garbage, we would like to have our bed made at least. - TV remotes didn’t work or at least the battery needed to be replaced. - With only one person preparing the egg options at the breakfast buffet you can expect long queues anywhere between 9:00-10:00 am. - Not sure if this is expected in Canada but no fruit was offered whatsoever in the buffet, maybe this is usual. - No one ever offered to help with the luggage, I’m used to be helped with it whenever I go to a Hilton or any other hotel. With that being said I’d definitely come back because for me the pros outweigh the cons and I didn’t spend too much time at the hotel anyway.

Location was perfect as I was attending a conference literally across the street. It was a lovely suite. Much fancier than I expected or needed. It was a nice surprise. The bed was extremely comfortable with lovely linens. The room was very quiet. The kitchen area is very nice with a full size fridge and dishwasher. I enjoyed the spa tub and very nice soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion provided. The breakfast was standard hot buffet but very delicious, good quality - hot and plentiful. I had a very nice hamburger one evening in the restaurant. All the staff were lovely and helpful. The concierge was wonderful and took very good care of me throughout my stay. The wifi was terrible. Really really bad. But I have a great data plan so it didn’t matter to me and it didn’t affect my enjoyment or satisfaction with the whole experience.

Great hotel. Got upgraded to the Presidential Suite and was pretty amazing. Great room and spacious, shower was tiny though. Staff was great, food and drinks were good. Location was in a good spot to walk everywhere too. Would definitely stay here again.

Room is so spacious, clean, and neat. Staffs are super accommodating. I want to give a big thanks to Donald the concierge supervisor for being very kind and helpful. I will definitely recommend this hotel and not to mention the location is an A+ (closeby to every city corners).
