Our dad booked bunk beds after looking at the pictures online which looked amazing...we were 4 people but when we entered it was so small. We couldn't even fit our suitcases and everything was so cramped. No way 4 people could fit into that space. Besides that bathroom was very very small. They were so many dirty carpets on the hallway and in the room it looked like haven't cleaned the fine spaces properly. The parking was what topped the 1 star rating. It was $35 for 1 day and the parking spaces were not reserved even after paying the amount. The seems very oblivious. In summary, I wouldn't recommend for big families and if you are a clean freak I also wouldn't recommend. Thank you

Disastrous Experience at the Lodge - Avoid at All Costs! I recently had the misfortune of staying at Travelodge Hotel by Wyndham Montreal Centre, and I must say it was a nightmare from the moment I stepped inside. The first red flag was the overwhelming stench of burnt plastic that hit us as soon as we entered our room. It was so bad that it made me question the safety and hygiene standards of the place right away. When I complained about the terrible smell and requested a new room, the staff showed absolutely no concern for our discomfort. They flat out refused to accommodate our request for a new room, brushing off our complaints as if they were insignificant. Unwilling to let the issue slide, we decided to give them another chance by asking them to address the problem. Their solution was even more absurd and concerning. They sent a maintenance person who clearly had no idea what they were doing. Instead of fixing the problem, they proposed to spray Lysol disinfectant directly into the air conditioning unit, which would have only worsened the situation. It was evident that they lacked basic knowledge and maintenance skills. Persistently dissatisfied, we requested a new room for the third and fourth time, and shockingly, they continued to reject our reasonable demands. The staff's dismissive attitude and attempts to push us back into the smelly room were utterly unprofessional and infuriating. At this point, we felt compelled to express our concern for our safety and health. We pointed out that the strong odor of burnt plastic posed a significant fire risk and health hazard to our lungs. Only then did they reluctantly start looking for an alternative room. However, the entire process took hours of arguing, wasted time, and added stress to what should have been a relaxing stay. The incompetence of the staff didn't end there. When we inquired about parking facilities, we were told that they had no parking available and were directed to a distant parking lot. Later, when we approached a different receptionist, they confirmed that the lodge did indeed have parking on-site. This inconsistency in their information was nothing short of frustrating and misleading. In conclusion, my experience at Travelodge Hotel by Wyndham Montreal Centre was a complete disaster. The overpowering smell of burnt plastic, the uncooperative and incompetent staff, and their disregard for guest concerns left me utterly disappointed and appalled. I strongly advise against staying at this lodge if you value your comfort, safety, and sanity. There are undoubtedly better lodging options out there that actually prioritize their guests' well-being and offer competent service. Steer clear of this place at all costs!

The location was good, walking distance to many locations. The service was great, staff at the front desk and breakfast room were friendly and kind. The continental breakfast was better than expected, with tasty croissants, boiled eggs, fresh fruits, etc. The one Queen bedroom with one sofa bed that we stayed was clean and newly renovated. The sofa bed was pretty firm and comfortable as well. The only downside was that the room was small, specially when the sofa was used as a bed. Overall, it was a great experience staying there. Thank-you Travelodge Montreal Centre. 💕

The staffs at the reception were always willing to help, respectful, professional and friendly. Some other staffs around acts like they have no clue as to what you’re asking them. A point in question was when I finished from the exercise room and found no paper towel to wipe the machine. I asked a staff that walked by and he simply said, I’m sorry, I just finished my duty. I had to complain for my room bedsheets to be changed and even the floor to be vacuumed. The breakfast they offered as part of their package was less desirable. The rooms were far from what was put on their website. Unfortunately, this is always my experience with Wyndham chain of hotels. For someone who cares less and just wants to spend a night, my review may not be a big deal. However, if you’re looking to spend 3 weeks, like I did, It’s definitely not a good choice.

The room we got, well, it's hard not to laugh, but it was tiny. So I can admit I didn't read the details well, but it was my first time to reserve online as I was rushing as nearby places were selling out fast; to my surprise it was the last room available so we were lucky. But honestly, we just wanted a place to sleep, so the size of the room, we didn't care at all, it was cute though 😂😅. One problem we did encounter, is no parking was available. So that was for an additional price and we had to walk in the rain. Not impressed on that part. The room was very clean, the staff was welcoming. Checking out was great also. It came with a light complimentary breakfast, which was basically yogurt, cereal, croissant 🥐 and fruits. Don't expect bacon and eggs made the way you like it. Although I have to add, the lady greeting us for breakfast, made an odd mistake, she said it was ok for us to enter and eat. But while eating she asked us why we were there and to confirm room number again. I told her it was too late to be asking for confirmation but instead of arguing I just reminded her of our room. 😈 The place is located in downtown Montreal. Walking distance to many many places. Seconds to Chinatown and minutes to the main mall(s). Would I stay in that tiny room again for that price, probably not

The hotel was just right for me. Centrally located with underground parking, I couldn't ask for more. Check in was quick and easy and staff were very polite and professional. My room was higher up and afforded a decent view of the city. Room was clean and functional with a small fridge and coffee machine. Just perfect for business travel. With breakfast included, it made my stay even more convenient. I was also able to do some sightseeing as so much was within walking distance. Definitely will stay there again.

Excellent staff and a quick check-in counter! Check-out is possible at any hour, which is helpful if you're coming in at an odd hour. The rooms are on the smaller side, but very cleanly kept and quiet. My room came with a desk, small fridge, and two beds (had to pay extra for a queen bed). Biggest perk is the fact that the hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Montreal; Chinatown and the Eaton Centre are easily accessible by walking or bus. In addition, the 747 airport bus stop is directly in front of the hotel which is great for those relying on public transportation.

Customer service is very poor. Caroline or Carolyn, whatever her name is was very rude and unhelpful. You guys should either give her some customer service training, OR let her go. There is no reason to be in a face-to-face customer service environment with a terrible attitude. Why are you there? Parking is limited at this hotel, it's underground and $22/a day. There's about 15 spots down there, and if you don't reserve one there will be none available for you. The hotel is in a good location, and that's about it. The rooms are SMALL (like 2x4), dingy, and dusty. Please clean the rooms thoroughly especially since we're STILL in a PANDEMIC. We were initially booked at the Travelodge near the airport (which is really bad) and booked at this one instead, this one is bad. 0/10 would not recommend.

    1) there were not enough parking spots at the hotel for the number of rooms you have which is very inconvenient for a traveler who drove 6 hours to get to the hotel only to find no parking on site. Had to park in the underground parking of Service Canada building next to the hotel. The help desk straight away suggested us to park at the Desjardin's building parking lot. 2) Water supply cut off - due to a maintenance issue and water leakage on the upper floors, water supply was cut off during the early hours of the day which made the stay very inconvenient 3) Bathroom sink clogged - reported the issue to the front desk and they did next to nothing about it. The only thing room service did was pour a drainage liquid hoping it would resolve the issue and left. 4) Room service lady in our room in our absence before checking out. Our check out time was at noon. It was around 10:30am when we returned to our room after breakfast to find the room service lady in our room without our request to clean/before check out with our belongings still in the room. 5) Room size and comfort - though the room was clean, the room style being bunk beds and room size being extremely tight was a surprise to us. Didn't expect to walk into a room the size of a den. If you're travelling with a family and want comfort, you can definitely find a better value for the price elsewhere.

Absolute garbage hotel. Night shift front desk staff is rude and unhelpful. No one can be bothered to help out their fellow humans, just give the lowest effort possible.

The shower was covered in hair. There was also hair in the sheets and tangled in the blanket. The room was incredibly small. All three guest could not stand and move around the room at the same time. There were small three beds. Two twin XL bunk beds and a regular twin bed. The beds were not comfortable to sleep in. The TV remote did not work. There was nowhere to clean off my snow boots. This caused the floor of the room to constantly be wet and covered in dirt and small rocks.

Never book this hotel. The service is terrible. I booked the queen size bed and they gave me a double bed no excuse. No parking was available when we arrived. They told us the public parking two block away but I found it just across the street. No apologize. They are racist. When we wanted to talk to a supervisor, the receptionist said that he only works from Monday to Friday. No supervisor, no manager works in weekend...

I booked a room very last minute. The room was comfortable but full of dust, I even found a face mask on the floor. No one helps you with luggage and the reception staff is very rude, I requested a late checkout which was declined in the morning. And the breakfast is technically some croissants, boiled eggs and tined fruits.

DO NOT BOOK!! The room was extremely small and dark. There was only 2 small nightstand lamps and one of them wasn't even working. The rug in the room looked like it had never been cleaned or vacuumed and there were sooo many stains !!! When we pulled the window curtains to get some sunlight, there were 3 spiders crawling and later we noticed an ant infestation on the carpet. The bathroom was small and moldy. I wish I could give this a (- 5) stars!!! It was by far the worst hotel room we've ever stayed in. This should NOT be a 3 star hotel and it wouldn't even qualify as a Motel. It needs to be shut down or renovated ASAP.

Absolutely not worth the price. The room was incredibly small with two single beds jammed into a triangular space. The bedding was non-traditional with fleece blankets, so the cleanliness is questionable. The breakfast was a joke, only offering croissants, fruits and cereal. The ladies at reception were kind but a little disorganized. We were told the hotel's parking was full and was redirected to another lot, only to find that it was closed. We ended up finding our own parking. The only perk was the location, right beside Chinatown and a 10 min walk from old Montreal. Would not recommend.

Overall enjoyed my stay and will be booking a room here for future visits. Considering prices of other hotels in the area I think this is a good value. It's simple and yes the rooms are on the small side but this is mostly a crash pad, I was comfortable sleeping and it was quiet. All of the important stuff is clean - bathroom, towels, bed, linens, common surfaces. However the walls and furniture need a good scrub, that's the reason for -1 star. Continental breakfast is convenient and the croissants were great.

Rooms are tiny. They are about the size of a dorm room in a University residence. May weather in the low to mid 20's and the room was very hot when we entered. The tiny refrigerator was warm as it could not keep up in such a small warm space. Loading / unloading is definitely an issue and there should be an attendant to guide guests into a loading zone (downstairs? onsite) created for such a purpose. Parking a block away was easy enough for me but would be arduous for anyone physically challenged or elderly. This should be highlighted on the reservations site to alert the guests of these challenges. None of this is so bad. Overall an acceptable place to stay for the night, clean and well maintained. The tiny room/bathroom, and limited parking comes as a surprise when compared to what is expected due to the price - even when comparing to other nearby accommodations.

We booked a 1 night stay at this hotel at the end of July 2023. Our room had 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds for the kids. Luckily we only had a small bag with us because there us no way you'd be able to fit a suitcase in the room...so small! The bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke. Breakfast was decent. I wouldn't stay here again.

Location is perfect, rooms are nice but they are TINY. First time in Canada and the only bad experience was the hotels. All four that I tried, the rooms were tiny like closets. The one I had reservations at, the shower, toilet and room were all separate. If I ever go back, I'll get an AIR BNB.

Very good service, quick check in. Really great housekeepers. Rooms are small but clean and quiet. Very good bathroom (small but there is a desk area to do makeup ). Small new fridge, good hairdryer. Bed was fine. Elevators fast. Location fantastic. The 747 bus from the airport stops on its block and pick you up across the street.

The location was great. Everything else was very questionable. The rooms are super tiny no space to move around, bathroom as well. No parking was available (we arrived early in the afternoon). Room service barged into our room BEFORE 8:30AM without knocking. When I went to the front desk they just took our room number down and said they’ll look into it with hardly any concerns as to what happened. This was by far one of the worst guest services experience I’ve ever had. Definitely would not recommend if looking for comfortable space.

Great Service, My room was clean, the property was clean and well kept. Absolutely Fantastic location. My only complaint was/is that the size of the room I booked wasn't represented well in the ad on their website. I booked a room with 2 double beds. I got a room with 2 double beds. That said this was the smallest hotel room I have ever had in North America. My feet were quite literally at the door and my sons bed was inches away. Given what I paid for the room, I would have gladly paid the $30-40 extra for a normal sized room had I known how small it would be. And before whomever is reading this thinks "why didn't you go down to the lobby and switch rooms?" . The answer is simple, we came in and dropped our stuff and went out. I'm not complaining that the room was too small, I'm complaining that nowhere during the booking process was I given the impression that it would only be so big.

Rooms were so small and not what was pictured online. Staff was nice but for the price we paid the quality was terrible. Breakfast was hard boiled eggs, croissants and fruit cups. The hotel was close to the ports but is in a pretty sketchy area. Much nicer hotels in the area for the same prices and would suggest going somewhere else.

Well this one needs to be closed for renovation. Everything is very mush after its end of life. You see this immediately as the hotel shows up - the canopy or whatever it's called is breaking down, most of the lights that light-up the name of the hotel are not working and when you enter the carpet is as dirty as it can get, with its edges taped to the floor. On the positive side I came early and wanted only to leave my luggage behind the desk, but they offered to check me in and they did. The check-in desk was also old, along with pretty much everything there. When you enter your room you immediately get why it is called "Travelodge" - it is small, but I don't care as I was alone. However the room was really, really old. It was not dirty, the cleaning staff did their job well, but there is only so much you can do when the carpet needs replacing, the linen is cheap (thin) and the static electricity it produces can power the room for the night. The blanket is thin, but the heating was working very well with the room constantly at a very comfortable level. There was no safety deposit box, but there is a Nespresso machine with free coffee and an empty mini fridge. The room is certainly not well-lit and the bathroom is way too small. Even though cleaned well, the shower was hard to use with water pressure sufficient for a baby rather than a grown man. There was no body wash, just lotion and two pieces of cheap soap and a shampoo. There is a hair-drier and a sufficient amount of towels. To recap it is probably easy to guess what you're gonna get when the price is 3 times lower than the Holiday-Inn, for example. The problem is that seeing how old it is, despite the staff's efforts you still question the level of sanitization and cleanliness as your mind immediately wonders towards nasty bugs and stuff.

I wouldn't recommend for a long stay. The website said the bar was open late, it wasn't. Said there were food and beverage dispensers, they were empty. You can hear everything going on in front of the elevators from your room as it's very echo. If you're planning a short stay however it's okay. The service we received however was great. Everyone was super helpful, polite and professional.

Amazing four-night stay at the Travelodge in Montreal. The room was a newly renovated studio room with a large comfortable bed, great kitchenette, and top-notch bathroom. While all the staff were great, some extra kudos for Billy Chan who we interacted with the most - he was very courteous, friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. Will definitely stay at the Travelodge Hotel by Wyndham Montreal Centre again next time I am in the city!

Pros: the staff was extremely kind and helpful whenever I spoke to them. Decently cheap compared to other close by hotels, and very centrally and conveniently located within walking distance to most of the places we wanted to go. Cons: The room was unbelievably small. The room wasn’t cleaned that thoroughly before we got there, because there were long black hairs everywhere. Room service didn’t come at all during our stay, so we had a big pile of garbage overflowing by the time we left.

I don’t recommend it. When we check in at 6 pm (check in starts at 3:00pm) the room was open and it was not ready. The garbage was full, dirty bed, dirty bathroom, garbage everywhere. we came all the way from Toronto( 5hrs drive) we were tired and still have to wait more than an hour for cleaning. THE COFFEE MAKER WAS MOLDY, no access to hot water, I’m not sure if the fridge was working, very small room, water temperature was weak, towel stains, dirty shower and a lot more… I paid $300+ and it is not worth it at all!!

I booked a two night stay at this hotel. At first the check in was fast and easy with a very friendly front desk, no complaints about my room. After my first night, I left that morning to go do activities in the city with friends. Before I left I went to go see the house keeper in my I told her NOT go into my room for service, that I was okay for that day. I noticed she only spoke French so I told her in French as well. Later that evening I had returned to my room where it was completely clean (even though I told her not go in that day). And to top it off I had my personal belongings and food that were completely taken from my room as well. I went to the front desk to explain what happened but they told me that housekeeping was gone for the day and that her general manager would be in the next day, and that they will notify him the situation. The next day I checked out early before the general manager came for work. When I called him that morning he told me that will do an investigation and call me as soon as he can. But I never did. To top it off it was Canada day weekend where my total came up to +$700 for two nights. So that was my experience, spent a large amount of money just to get my stuff stolen and a general manager who seems to not care about client belongings. Could’ve been one star but each one of the front desk staff were superb!

Having read some horrible reviews we braced ourselves for a mediocre to bad experience. We were pleasantly surprised. Check in was smooth, we were provided parking in the underground lot, staff was polite and helpful over all. We were given a room on the 10th floor with nice views of the city, although rooms were minuscule. We needed to use the pull out couch and that didn’t leave much space to move around. We got away with it because our kids all small and we spent a good part of the day outside. We got to see some nice sunsets and sunrises! A cold Breakfast came with the stay (boiled eggs, yoghurt, fruits, beverages, toast, croissants). Coffee was nice and croissants were yum, not like the store bought ones. You have to put your room number when coming in. Parking was $35/night and it is super tight. Took a while to park our SUV. Smaller cars will do fine. There was daily room service and that was great. They made the beds and took out trash. Extra bedding was provided on request. No microwave in the room but there is a mini fridge. We didn’t find the area generally unsafe, although there’s some panhandlers in China Town. A stones throw from China Town and close to Place des Arts, lots of restaurants, masjid/mosques, metro, we would stay here again for the convenience of location.

Considering the price and location it was really excellent. The staff were kind, check-in and checkout were done so quickly, and the decor was modern. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming and the room was tiny but again with the price in mind it was good, the croissant was genuinely one of the best I’ve ever had, even better than most of the croissants I’ve ever experienced in Paris!

We only stayed here one night and one night was enough. Because it was the long weekend, many of the rooms were booked up and there were a lot of large groups/party goers at this hotel. The parking was full (very limited spots) so we had to pay for parking elsewhere. The room we managed to book one with 2 twin beds and was TINY. Felt very crammed and although it was clean, it was definitely old. Thankfully our room was at the corner near the back so it was quiet. It also had a lot of sunlight which was nice! The free breakfast had a croissant, a yogurt, a mini danish, a fruit cup, and a juice box. Yes it wasn't fancy but it was actually quite nice (and it's free, can't complain really). We were supposed to stay here for three nights but it was our honeymoon so we decided to switch hotels. Luckily, this hotel was super nice about cancelling our reservation and we had no issues with the staff whatsoever! The location of this hotel was very convenient and central as well.

Great location, walking distance from many restaurants, bars, venues, and museums. The parking garage is steep and one way so be careful. The staff are kind and helpful but my biggest issue is that they charged me for an extra day. I left on Sunday morning and they charged my card as if I'd stayed till Monday. I contacted customer support several times but each time I got no response. Because of this I wouldn't recommend staying here. There are many other options for hotels in this area.

The room is small but the bed was comfortable enough. The location of the hotel is very nice and close to many things. The breakfast is disappointing and the last day we had no water in the room due to a scheduled maintenance that wasn’t shared with guests so they can plan accordingly. The gym is small with 5 machines only but it has a nice view to the street.

Room was tidy and clean but SMALL! Bathroom was especially cramped. Looked like it had been recently renovated. The staff were really friendly and helpful however. One ice machine, and it was broken. Breakfast was very basic, but enough. 10 minute walk from the Via station, Old Montreal, Notre Dame Basilica, and a few other sites. Location is also by the Chinese village. During the day there's a variety of places to eat within walking distance, but at night, there's only Chinese food restaurants nearby (and all were very busy). Overall the stay was pleasant, but I think I paid a bit much for what I got.

STAY AWAY FROM THE HOTEL. They robbed us of our money for the price of the room. And the room is too small compared to the pictures and as you enter the room the chair hits your leg. And since the bunk beds are close to the beds on the bottom your head will most likely hit the bed all the time. And the beds are so small it’s almost impossible to sleep. My son was on the bunk bed and the bed made so much noise. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. And the floors didn’t look clean and was unhygienic. The breakfast wasn’t anything special either. And they delayed our checking in for the hotel had to wait another hour. I usually never do reviews but this time my experience was too horrible.

This is an amazing finding for the price, rooms are small but good enough for a quick night or two. Front desk was very friendly and kind. For the price it's a 5 stars hotel.

Location is honestly pretty good. Right beside China town and if you are ok with walking you can walk to the via rail station and old Montreal. Rooms were clean, small but if you're not picky and just looking for a place to rest your head while visiting the city this place is pretty good. Breakfast was pretty good, croissant, fruit and boiled egg, ceral. Was more than enough to keep me full till lunch. TL;DR 10/10 would stay again.

This is easily the worst hotel I’ve been to in North America. The bathroom had no water pressure, the room was smelly and awfully small. The room service was terrible and they do not even give you water in the room! I don’t know how this classifies as a 3 star chain charging people 250-300 bucks a night. The “breakfast menu” has 3 items on it! The staff isn’t properly trained either. It was a terrible experience overall and I’d advise everyone to avoid this hotel at all costs.

This has to be one of the worst hotels I have been in. For starters they do not offer room service for basic amenities such as providing drinking water. They also had no Parking spots available and told us to park our car 15 mins away from the hotel which was a bad our trip. The shower was broken and the water pressure was as slow a herd of snails traveling through peanut butter. When we asked them to fix it, they first refused to come in and then said this is the normal water pressure. This wasn't a pleasant experience at all. If I had an option to give no stars I would.

I didn't expect a double-deck bed in a lodge hotel. We booked the place a few months early for 3 guests but when we arrived we still had to ask for a comforter for the 3rd bed. I wish they served some sort of meat for breakfast except boiled eggs but I love the croissants always fresh. The housekeeping team we interacted with during our stay (Sept.2-Sept.5) was super nice - Merci!

Pretty much no noise insulation on the doors; you could hear a whisper at the other end of the hall. The colorful barcode designs on the wall are a little off-putting. Apart from that, though, typical hotel experience. Clean rooms.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms appear to have recently been refurbished. Everything is clean and well maintained. Breakfast was ok but spartan .. hard boiled eggs, croissants, cereal, fruit, yogurt and bad coffee. But overall a great value in a decent location downtown.

We enjoyed the experience of staying at this hotel.. It's strategic location makes it easy for us to visit tourist attractions in Montreal, especially the Old City.. The room was clean.. The staffs are friendly.. And the breakfast menu was good.. Well, everything is pleasant..

We got up to our room it was TINY to say the least. We go to pull back the sheets there was 4 layers of thin gross blankets and DIRT in-between each layer. No way that bedding or linens was washed and we look out the window ( our view was the back of the hotel) and there is an alley FULL of garbage and people doing drugs. We woke up to two people yelling and getting in a physical fight. For the price I would ABSOLUTELY not stay there. Then when we went to check out the girl at the desk was AWFUL and looked at us with disgust because we ended up canceling the rest of our stay there and went to another hotel. Definitely don't recommend

Besides the housekeeper banging the door every morning. Overpriced for a dumpy room. The flooring was laid on top of the old floor. It lifts as you walk. The room is half a regular size room. There’s a whole in the bathroom plugged with paper towel. The window won’t open. Handles are broken right off. The staff doesn’t help. Gives bare minimum answers. Then smiles. Parking. Told there would be parking. It was full the first night. Ok. Next night staff said they don’t have any. Again on the third night. Yet we see people coming and going to park. We will never stay here again. Let know a Wyndham property.

Terrible rooms and service for the price. There is no parking and even when it is available it costs 35+tax/night. I came late around 1am and the gates were closed. I had to call several times before anyone came to open the gates. The hotel’s back faces some residential complex with lots noise and drug addicts lying at the entrance. Bathrooms are very small and not maintained. I had two rooms. The queen room had little bit of room when sofa bad was closed. The other room was supposed to be four single beds. However, the space was of some submarine bunker. The bunk beds were two suffocatingly low for lower bunk.

Great location if your comfortable downtown near all the action. TINY ROOMS but my room with a double bed was sufficient. The rooms with the bunk beds are laughably weird haha. Really depends on if you're someone who needs fancy rooms or not.

Very good location, within a few minutes walk from the Notre Dame, main cafes and shopping streets downtown. The staff was very helpful and the check in / check out were very easy. Bonus on the luggage storage facility free of charge, which helped my trip a lot. Breakfast is continental style (bread, croissants, jams, butter, cereal and yoghurt), there are also some frozen boiled eggs. Overall, great value compared to other hotels around of a similar standard.

Very bad quality service. They gave us rooms that are slightly bigger than the size of washrooms. There was no parking. The breakfast was really not good. No standards. The reception staff, especially the lady that checked us in was not very professional. We checked in December 31st evening. Will never go back to this hotel ever.

To my surprise, the bed and the room were much smaller than in the picture. I did not realize that the bed was full size, meaning that my toes touched the end of the bed/blankets. The corridor, paint, and carpet were dirty. My room 907 ceiling was damaged and cracked. A portion of the sheetrock was about to fall down over the shower area. The lower shower calking was black. I could not even get a glass, only cardboard cup. Overall it should be 0, but the people were friendly, and the location was fine.

Small rooms, the wifi didn't work, breakfast hmmm what kind of breakfast is hard boiled egg and sweet pastries?? Also do not forget to put the 'do not disturb' sign because the cleaners clean the rooms at 9 o'clockish, and it's very uncomfortable to wake up for continuous knocking on the door, and hearing that someone is trying to get in to our small rooms. We picked this hotel because it offered breakfast, but it wasn't worth it. Try to find another hotel! Your welcome!

This is a very good place to stay if travelling to Montreal with friends on a cheap budget. Stayed in a 4 twin bed room which was pretty small but perfect for a weekend stay. Most the people staying on the hotel are there to party and have a good time. I liked the location as it was a walking distance from most things. Breakfast is awful! We woke up excited to get the “complimentary breakfast” which was one croissant and a yogurt. No room service during our stay. Try to arrive earlier in the day to guarantee parking at hotel or you will be forced to park in a lot down the road.

Excellent hotel, parking - easy, room, albeit small, high end shower, nice furniture and fixtures, AC very cold, perfect balance. Even though I booked on a frugal last minute for cheap app, they still put me on a top floor and have been very kind. Will be back.

Some of the staff at this hotel looked like they hated life; no smiling, annoyed deep breaths etc. If you plan on booking this place, keep in mind the rooms are very, very small. The rooms with the bunk beds are fine if you just have backpacks with you but four small suitcases was pushing it. The fridge in our room was broken and wouldn't close properly and the bathroom smelt bad. The location was great, walking distance to many things. Other than that, nothing pleasant or comfortable about this place.

Close to downtown core, right next to Chinatown and the Desjardins shopping complex. The rooms are small but as expected. Nice continental breakfast each morning. Bilingual service! Parking is limited on site, but options close by. Nice room for sleeping and watching TV when you just want to rest up while visiting attractions nearby at the old Port.

It's an incredible price for the location. I've gone here 4 times in the last 2 years. They have slightly declined over those two years. The rooms are small and slightly outdated. The bathrooms are super tiny! It's good for a weekend getaway or for a non-special trip. I will come back because the pricing is incredible but I'm not as in love with this hotel as I was 2 years ago. The breakfast during the pandemic is a let down but the location is amazing. Great price and perfect location.

The pictures of the rooms displayed in Booking.com doesn't match the reality. I booked a room with 4 single beds and they gave me a tiny room with two singles and two bunks! It was really like a cell. Despite the fact that their breakfast is a crab, They charged me extra money for the kids breakfast which is supposed to be free! I couldn't use their parking because it is always full! So I ended up using the mall parking lot that s 7 min walking! The front desk staff (night shift) are not friendly at all. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

  • 5/5 Dany D. 1 year ago on Google
I'm surprised by the negative reviews. For a 3 star hotel in the downtown location and for the purpose of sleeping in a room it was a great experience! While the room was the smallest I've ever stayed at, is not a claustrophobic one, nor did I feel uncomfortable at any time. Steaming hot water, perfectly working AC, clean, super friendly staff, it really was a super experience for the cost.

Please be careful, the rooms are beyond small and the door cannot be opened fully as there is a bed behind it. Also no-one has mentioned the prison style bunk beds. Very scary indeed. You also cannot turn around in the shower without banging your elbow as the wall is actually a corner so the space is minute.

A wonderful stay. Super convenient location for those looking to explore Old Montreal. Our room was a little small, sort of reminiscent of a dorm room, but the price was right for a last second booking. Plus as a tourist you really should be out and exploring anyway - the room is just a place to unwind and rest, and in that sense it was a good fit.

Book elsewhere. Took the stairs this morning to get breakfast....... I was praying I made it to the main floor. Super dirty...... based on the dirt and dust I'm not sure the last time those stairs were cleaned if ever. Door knobs were barely attached to the doors. Grab a screw driver and fix them. This place is tied, dirty and run down. Everything needs a good cleaning. The current breakfast is premade boxes due to Covid and I believe that and the lobby are the only clean spots in this place. Our bathroom door was locked and shut, however maintenance was quick to respond and fix. There is no cold water only warm and hot. We had associates on other floors and they indicated the same. Although the price is cheap, I would opt to stay elsewhere another time.

Great customer service. We arrived early and talk to the receptionist to check in before and she was able to accommodate our request. On the last day we were allowed to leave our baggage in the luggage room until 8pm because our bus left at night. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast included was ok

It was cheap and in a good location. We only stayed one night. I like to have a little more room but for around $100 on July 1st it was not bad. The breakfast was ok and they had fresh croissants!

  • 4/5 Ruwan S. 5 years ago on Google
Friendly front staff. Great location. Rooms are definitely on the smaller side but for that price you can't really complain when you consider the location. Parking is not included as per usual at any downtown hotel, but plenty of parkade in the area.

Great location. Right in Chinatown with both Old Montreal and the newer urban core within walking distance. The rooms, however, were quite small. Our "twin" beds were what I would call "single" beds as the beds were only appropriate for 1 person, not 2.

filthy hotel may look good from lobby but rooms are migit size and migit bathrooms too. whoever designed the bed layout and the room layout is a crackhead. they say the food is free though u gotta pay for it so their false advertising the hotel. absolute garbage i hope that hotel get demolished

This is a busy well-managed hotel a couple blocks away from the entrance to Montreal's Chinatown. Rooms tend to be small but very functional clean and what appears to be recent updates to fixtures and decor. They offer a continental buffet breakfast included in the price. I would recommend this hotel for budget-minded travelers.

Great location, but there were some issues for me. There was only one light that was working in my main room which made things dark. The other nightstand light was broken but there should have been a light on the ceiling or some other room light. Washroom was pretty small with only a shower. In this location there were people in the evening just shouting, not really the fault of the hotel, but it disturbed my sleep. Room was clean no issues there. There was also breakfast included which wasn't too much. At 135 dollars it was the cheapest hotel available

SMALLEST. ROOM. EVER! When I provided this feedback to the representative at the front desk, he assured me that ALL the rooms were this small, and that it followed a European hotel theme. I have stayed in many hotels throughout Europe, and have never come across a room this small. There were no face cloths included in the bathroom. There was no closet, built into the room and the only option for two beds, was two twin beds, one of which was oriented, such that there was no headboard. The washroom was the smallest washroom that I have ever encountered. All of this for over $200 a night 🙄! Oh, and the underground parking was $35 per night plus tax. Also, be careful if you are not driving an SUV, because at the exit of the garage there is a very steep slope/angle to the ground, which you can ground your car out on… Lovely experience 😡.

Large building close to Chinatown. The location is fairly close to Saint Catherine's Avenue, and short walk from the old Town and the conference centre, which is nice. The service was not great, in general staff were not particularly warm. We got wrong information about breakfast times by one person at reception, and because of that we missed breakfast, which the another person at the reception said it was not her problem, and couldn't even provide a plastic spoon (which was given everyday in the breakfast box). Speaking of breakfast, the well announced breakfast buffet was not. We were provided a styrofoam box with 1 croissant, 1 juice, 1 small jam, 1 plastic cup of tin fruits (peach, pineapple and cherry). Every day, same plastic box, no possibility of choice and definitely no buffet. The room was in general ok, but definitely not for the price they charged. The bed sheets had cigarette burns, it was dusty everywhere, especially outside of the toilet window which we couldn't even open because a lot of dust and spider webs would be blow in. The air conditioning was old and noisy, so we mostly kept it turned off, but it was very efficient when turned on. If we had booked again, we would have probably chosen elsewhere.

we arrived at the hotel to our surprise to see the underground parking be very small and tight fitting despite being in a small car. its truly first come first serve as there's maybe 40 spaces for the whole building. All staff were very kind and informative and helpful, very wonderful people. The free breakfast was lackluster but i mean, what can you expect for a free breakfast. I gotta admit tho, the croissants were quite amazing. The hotel is right in the middle of China town which gives you great choices to go explore, lots of cute shops and great restaurants. The room itself was smaller then expected but it was good enough for just the 2 nights we were in. Tho for 2 fluffy girls, the shower was a Lil snug to try to get in and out of because of the size of the room was a bit challenging to try to fit a bathroom and two small beds in there. The shower pressure was barely there, if you wanted good water pressure you'd be stuck with boiling hot water which...i didn't want. I did enjoy the fact I could control the temperature of the room, that was very nice. The room was clean, my friend did struggle with the type of blankets they chose for the bedding cause it didn't seem to have a true fitted sheet so she got confused lol The prices of the room is adequate for the location but for the size of the room we got definitively felt too expensive with parking it is also 35$+tax a night and, we have experienced that people can try to sneak in and steal your spot so you do have to ask for security to escort the sneak-ee out of your spot. Beware, if you have a low vehicle, coming out of the parking will scratch the bottom of your vehicle...my friend is going to go to the garage to take a look and see if there was any damages. So it wasn't like amazing, but it wasn't like...horrible?

Our room had ants in it, but because we checked in at night, we didn't see them until the next morning. The rooms are very dark. One staff member was very helpful and helped us switch rooms within an hour but they should have checked and cleaned the room before letting anyone stay there. The paper coffee cups in that room were used and dirty. They did not offer us a discount or anything else to make up for the fact. All they offered us was free parking and we don't have a car. I am disappointed with the service provided on Monday morning May 1, 2023 as we were informed that a note was left at the front desk explaining the situation to request a later check out time due to our flight being delayed. Our request was denied.

Reception was patient with me and allowed to me speak French at my own pace. Location is great. Room was smaller in size but clean, updated and modern. Not happy with the parking situation. When doing a Google search for this hotel, the info/amenities states that parking is free but that is not the case. $30+/- per day but I didn’t even get to pay that because the lot was full and they sent me to park at the Hilton on Jean-Mance about a block and a half away.

    Rooms are smaller than expected; was traveling alone so it was ok, but would have been an issue if I was traveling with others or with family; reminds me of a small interior cruise cabin with fold out bunk beds. Just have enough room to place my one backpack and umbrella without the room feeling cram; would definitely feel quite cram if one more person is with me (room is a 2 person queen size bed; 1 small table with 1 chair and 1 small half size clothing cabin that can't fit a long coat); kind of small space to walk around in from one side to the other, I won't say it's super narrow space, but definitely a tight one with sharing it with another person Rooms are mostly clean but it's still a bit rundown, carpet can use a bit of deep cleaning, and complementary slippers for the room/washroom would have been great; definitely felt like I am stepping on some thing funny if i go barefoot in the room; didn't have room for my own slippers, so shoes on for most of my stay. Location: both good and bad Good: close to a lot of tourist areas and also metro, but better scout out your route before proceeding; good to ask for recommendations from staffs first as they are very helpful and friendly. Bad: also isn't the nicest neighbourhood at certain time in the day, so beware;
