I
have
a
unique
perspective
on
Yo
&
Co
Espresso
Bar,
having
been
both
a
loyal
customer
and
then
a
barista.
Although
I
no
longer
work
there,
I
continue
to
visit
and
support
this
spot.
As
a
patron,
my
favorites
are
their
Hot
or
Iced
Oat
Maple
Lattes
and
their
Oat
Cortados,
made
just
as
delightful
with
“regular”
milk
by
Henrietta,
a
local
supplier.
The
staff
are
always
welcoming
and
attentive,
making
each
visit
enjoyable.
They’re
not
just
friendly
but
also
knowledgeable,
always
ready
to
share
astuces
cafés/coffee
tips
with
interested
patrons.
During
my
time
as
a
barista,
I
experienced
firsthand
the
support
and
respect
from
both
the
team
and
owner,
Yorick,
indicative
of
the
café’s
positive
work
environment
&
attention
to
local
connection/community.
The
café’s
high-quality
coffee
offerings
include
choices
from
local
roasters
such
as
Canal
Roasters,
Escape,
Za
&
Klo,
Jungle
&
Structure.
Beyond
enjoying
a
good
cuppa
in-store,
customers
can
purchase
these
local
roasters’
coffee
beans
and
brewing
equipment
for
home
use.
The
delectable
pastries
are
from
local
bakers
and
include
classics
such
as
croissants,
muffins,
and
apple
turnovers
to
die
for
from
“Avec
Le
Temps,”
as
well
as
decadent
vegan
square
cakes
by
Paradise
and
occasional
treats
from
Arhoma,
including
delicious
brownies
and
my
fave:
their
pistachio
croissants.
And
don’t
miss
the
homemade
goodies
baked
by
Yorick’s
mom,
also
available
at
the
café.
Yo
&
Co
also
features
a
boutique
section
with
a
variety
of
locally
made
products
ranging
from
dry
flowers
to
candles,
artisanal
soaps,
fine
groceries,
wine,
beer,
Boreal
chocolates,
and
much
more!
Yo
&
Co
Espresso
Bar
stands
out
as
a
strong
supporter
of
local
businesses,
offering
high-quality
coffee,
pastries,
and
more.
It
remains
a
preferred
destination
for
many,
including
myself,
and
a
commendable
workplace
for
aspiring
baristas.
