I took the prenatal yoga class and pain management class with Lauren and was so happy and satisfied with both! She is an amazing teacher with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in her field! Thanks to her classes, I feel more strong, more empowered, and more ready for my pregnancy and birth. It was also really nice to share the space with other expecting moms/parents and connect with them. I would recommend her services 100% and look forward to taking more classes with her!

I first signed up for this prenatal yoga training to feel more comfortable when pregnant women would show up in my regular yoga classes. I left this training with a new-found passion for prenatal yoga, all that thanks to Lauren and the amazing tools she offered! I enjoyed how balanced the whole weekend was - between theory, chanting, teaching practice and mediation, I truly did not see the time go by. I never felt overwhelmed by the material, shared in a very logical and organized way. I did not expect to feel so excited observing Lauren teach a class to pregnant woman; it showed me how much I would actually enjoy leading such classes. Thanks to Lauren, I now feel empowered and knowledgeable enough to teach pregnant woman, not only as a one-off in my regular yoga classes, but in prenatal yoga classes. I absolutely recommend Lauren's prenatal training for the education I received and the very comprehensive manual she provides, but also for the space she held for us! I got to experience deep relaxation moments through yoga nidra and lead meditations/ visualizations, which felt amazing and made me feel like I was on a weekend retreat!

I have had a very easy pregnancy and I honestly believe that taking the prenatal yoga class with Lauren from the second trimester until the very end played a big part in me feeling so great throughout. I also took her Stronger together workshop with my partner and it really helped us be better prepared for the baby’s arrival, giving us practical tips as well as encouraging us to have important conversations. All in all, Lauren is a very warm, kind and positive person: that’s definitly the kind of energy you want to surround yourself with when you are in that important stage of your life!

How do I begin reviewing such an amazing woman and doula who truly transformed my birthing and postpartum experience? I’m hoping to add a raving review and hopefully inspire someone else to book her services. If you’re having a baby, regardless of your birth preferences, she should be your go-to resource. I was looking for a local, experienced doula who spoke both English and French - which was extremely important for communication purposes with medical staff. Lauren is the type of doula to focus on all aspects of the birthing experience: the physical and mental preparation for birth as well as the postpartum. She makes you address ALL the questions and feelings prior to giving birth and ensures you’re preparing for the fourth trimester. She’ll take the time to talk you through information on birth preferences, things to bring to the hospital/birthing centre and reflections in case your birth doesn’t go according to your preferences. My pregnancy and birth were going story book perfect - no complications throughout pregnancy, no anxiety, no induction, strong contractions once they began, no pain medication in labour - until the birth took an urgent turn. Lauren was such an incredible support throughout. I can’t imagine even attempting an unmedicated birth without her support. She knew exactly what I needed without me having to ask. Her kind and supportive words were always a welcome distraction. She continually encouraged me and reminded me that I had all the strength to bring my baby safely into this world. She was also an incredible emotional support for my husband, kindly showing him how to best support me and giving him much needed breaks. After a long unmedicated labour, a complication came up and the doctors called for an emergency C-section. Many women would feel disappointed that their birth ended this way. But because Lauren made me prepare for this potential outcome, I was very at peace with it. I vividly remember her telling me right before the surgery: “You’ve got this.“ It felt reassuring to know that I had someone looking out for me, my baby and my husband. If ever I have a second child I know I will be booking Lauren as my doula! I cannot recommend her enough ❤️

I met Lauren by taking one of her excellent online prenatal classes (highly recommended, as Lauren is not only a skilled yoga teacher who manages an online format well, but she also goes out of her way to foster a sense of community in the class). At the time I had also considered hiring a doula to help me through the birth process since I had dealt with a lot of anxiety during my pregnancy (it was my first) and wanted someone to help me navigate the information overload, expectations, and general concerns that I had as I entered the third trimester. After taking the yoga class with Lauren, I could tell she had the knowledge, warm and approachable personality, and ability to communicate well and provide valuable insights while also respecting my point of view and adjusting to my personality. She did not disappoint! She provided excellent information relevant to me, and answered all of my questions and concerns in our prenatal meetings. When it was close to my due date she kept in close contact. I had a few unexpected twists and turns the days before my actual delivery, all of which resulted in an unplanned cesarean section. This was not the birth I expected to have and needless to say it was incredibly stressful for my husband and for me. However, Lauren came to the hospital the night before I had the c-section and then stayed with us the next day before and after the procedure. Lauren was a calming presence and an excellent source of information. She was there to help us out through a very stressful time. I was also able to manage the situation as calmly as possible, and having Lauren there provided an extra boost of confidence and comfort. I highly recommend working with Lauren if you are at all anxious or unsure about your pregnancy or what might happen during delivery, and if you feel like you could benefit from a calming and grounding presence as you welcome your little one into the world. I would absolutely recommend her services to anyone who is considering hiring a doula or who wishes they had someone by their side to help them navigate this really exciting, but also stressful, phase of life!

Lauren has been absolutely key to our experience of giving birth to our first child. As we were going through a complicated delivery, she was the guardian of our serenity and peace of mind, especially when the situation was becoming stressful and uncertain. She was discrete yet very present, thoughtful and caring the whole time. We also loved spending time together after our son was born, at home, asking all of the questions we hadn’t initially thought about and going through some of our challenges related to caring for a newborn. Highly recommend. <3

The best investment you can make for your birth! Lauren was integral in the successful physiologic, unmedicated birth of our second born daughter. In the months leading up to my VBAC, Lauren supported my partner and myself in the mental and physical preparation we needed. Through discussions, yoga and meditations I felt empowered and equipped. Lauren's presence on the day of was incredibly grounding for both of us, she kept me encouraged, positive and focused.

I decided to go the “natural” route with regards to the delivery of our baby. I gave birth at a birthing center, cared for by my wonderful midwives, as opposed to being in a hospital, and therefore did not have access to drug intervention (i.e epidural). We could not have imagined going through pregnancy and labor without Lauren as our Doula. During the months leading up to our child's delivery, Lauren's guidance was invaluable to us. She addressed all of our questions and concerns, and really put our minds at ease! During my pregnancy, she always made me feel reassured, supported, and confident about the process. My fiancée felt motivated and prepared after our meetings with her as well, because she really helped him understand what to expect. He says it shifted his whole perception about the birthing process. The result: he was truly the most incredible support to me during labour. When my contractions began at home, having Lauren come by the house to get us in our “game time” mindsets was just what we needed! It also helped us eliminate any guess work with regards to when it was time for us to leave home and head on over to the birthing center for our big adventure. I am not sure how I would've made it through the delivery without Lauren's support. In my story, I feel like she literally saved me. We were about 13 or so hours into labor. All had been going relatively well up until this point. I was now exhausted and in terrible pain. I was pushing with all my might; however, my midwife was telling me that my contractions were simply not strong enough to get this baby out. We were trying every technique and trick in the book. My body was exhausted. I was doing everything I could, with every ounce of energy I had, yet it still wasn't enough. I was now in a panic and had no idea what else to do. My body seemed to no longer be cooperating, no matter how hard I tried. Mentally, I was feeling defeated. Fear and panic began to kick in. This last hour felt longer than the last 13 hours combined. Due to the pandemic’s restrictions, Lauren was not allowed to be with us in person. However, she told us we could call or video call her at any time. It was approximately 5:30 am. My partner was equally as worried about me for the first time in the last 14 hours because of the state I was in. He knew it was time to call Lauren and gave her a video call to which she promptly answered. She was ready! What happened next was nothing short of a miracle for us. Lauren's soothing voice instantly made me feel at ease. The physical distance between us no longer seemed to exist. With my eyes closed, I listened to her voice. It’s as if she tapped in to my very being, and the only way I can explain it is that I felt like we were now “one”. Her guidance was like a meditative journey that allowed me to breathe so deeply at a pace which literally re-energized my body, and re-focused my mind. She helped me regain my center. Within minutes, I became calm. Suddenly, my contractions started to become more powerful! The midwives told me that this was it, to keep going, and that my baby was finally coming! We are so grateful to say that our baby was born healthy, my recovery was amazing, and like I said earlier we both cannot imagine having gone through pregnancy and labor without Lauren as our Doula. Thank you, Lauren, we are lucky to have an amazing angel like you to help guide us through the most spiritual and sacred life events of pregnancy and delivery. You have been a blessing - Keep doing what you do!!! Much love ~

I really enjoyed the fertility yoga. The practice brought me a sense of hope and peace. Lauren has a calming charisma, and the connection with the group is comforting. I feel a lot more relaxed and encouraged about my fertility journey. Thanks :)

Mom and Baby yoga with Lauren was such an important tool to have during my postpartum journey. Having a community of women who are going through a similar journey along with Lauren’s expertise, I felt like I could authentically share what I was going through and feel connected more to what was happening in my own body, mind and spirit, during this crazy rollercoaster in the year after birth. It has been something I look forward to every week and my day is always better when I’ve participated in a Mom and Baby yoga class.

Taking part in Lauren’s virtual prenatal yoga classes helped me get through my pregnancy during the COVID crisis. I especially appreciated the sharing period at the beginning of each class, which made it possible to connect with other pregnant women amidst a time of great isolation. Lauren’s classes are fun, diversified and respectful of each bodies and stages of pregnancy. I highly recommend them!

I want to really thank Lauren, because taking this teacher training in this specific moment in my life has helped me transition into motherhood, embrace my body and my baby, and give into the full experience of being pregnant. Being able to transmit this to other women who are also pregnant has been a gift, and something I intend to keep on doing. Her training and embracing this has changed my yoga practice forever.

Several friends recommended Lauren as a bilingual, calm, experienced and competent Prenatal Yoga teacher and it is with that in mind that I contacted her to know more about her services. So far, I have enrolled twice in her Prenatal Yoga Classes (online) and my partner and I have also registered for her online class "Preparing the Birth Partner" and I really enjoy this pregnancy journey having her alongside. Her prenatal yoga classes are more than just yoga classes, they are also a means to connect between moms-to-be, to go inward, reflect, share, discuss, grow in a respectful & safe space. It is also very flexible and I really feel like I can participate in the way that I feel comfortable without being judged. Lauren is indeed very considerate. She takes time to check-in with everybody, she listens, cares and adapts her practice to the future-moms' needs. The "Preparing the Birth Partner" workshop was also a positive learning experience for us as a couple and future parents. Lauren is an excellent (and again, respectful!) facilitator. The workshop was instructive, well-balanced between learning, reflecting, sharing and practicing. So far, we think that it will be very useful when the day comes. In the meantime, we feel more connected to each other, better equipped with tools to support each other, more secure in having practiced some techniques (breathing, pain management). We are also left with useful documentation to look back and prep some more if need be for the Big day, but also as future parents. Also, really appreciate the fact that she's perfectly bilingual and is open to language switch.

Lauren was our doula throughout my first pregnancy and birth experience. She is a wonderful doula and simply a lovely person. Her calm and warmth made sharing all the things so much easier (and there is so much to share in that vulnerable time). My partner and I are very happy with our birth experience even though it didn’t go as planned, as I was prepared to take decisions that felt right for me in the moment. Her postpartum visit was also very helpful and encouraging, making things work for our family; rather than worrying about what works for others. Thanks Lauren! Xo

Lauren was referred to me by a friend for her doula services during my first pregnancy. From our first meeting I felt an immediate connection with her, and am so grateful to have had her by my side throughout this beautiful journey. She taught my husband and I so much about what to expect and how to prepare for birth and the baby. As my baby was breach, I had to have a c section and she stood by me every step of the way and helped me work through some challenging decisions/situations. I also had access to her online platform which was so useful (for mindfulness and yoga courses) and loved the virtual yoga courses with her. She truly knows how to create a safe and supportive space/community for pre and postpartum women! I would highly recommend her and her doula services as well as her yoga courses! Thank you Lauren for all that you do!
