My family and I stayed at this hotel for three days and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. The staff, especially the reception person, were extremely arrogant and rude towards us. Even though we had already paid for our stay, we felt like we had no other choice but to endure their behavior. Their rudeness was so unbearable that my family didn't want to stay at the hotel at all. Overall, we didn't enjoy our stay at this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. The staff's behavior was unacceptable and made our stay unpleasant.

I stayed at the Griffintown Hotel for a few months while I filmed a movie for Disney Channel and it was the best experience! The entire place was really clean and stocked with supplies the moment we got inside! It is more like apartment living than a hotel. The bedrooms are very spacious with soft, comfortable beds. The sheets were really clean! I had a great time hanging out in the lobby playing board games with my friends. I can't wait to go back here. Thanks Griffintown Hotel! 🌟🎥🙏🏽🙋🏾

Although the rooms were very nice and very clean, we arrived at 1AM and the hotel receptionist was near impossible to communicate with. there was a slight language barrier, but he definitely spoke english. he was barely coherent! we booked two rooms on the same reservation, yet he claimed to only find one and tried to give us only one room despite showing him the receipt with proof we paid for two! A hotel tonight representative was very helpful and was able to resolve it but check in took over one hour at 1-2 AM. she struggled to communicate with this man at the reception desk as well. Also, we asked to park in the parking garage but he claimed it was closed, and told us leave our car across the street(street parking ) he assured us it was safe. we woke up to our windows smashed in and 6 inches of snow in our car. after a half hour of cleaning glass and snow out of the car, the morning reception guy offered for us to move to the garage. by that point it was too late but it was nice I suppose. He also offered us late check out so we could stay in the room while we dealt with the car situation. the house keeping lady was extremely pleasant, sweet and helpful in gathering all supplies possible to help seal up our window. I wish I got her name. she wouldn't even accept a 20 dollar tip we tried to give her since she felt so bad for us. She deserves a raise! Also the washing machine was broken and our clothes got stuck Inside. needless to say we will not be back. 1 star for hotel but 5 stars for the housekeeping woman!!! +response I certainly did not refuse the parking garage. I asked for it, and your desk reception told me it was closed and he could not open it. He told me to park on the street and "he would keep an eye on it. " For all I know, he broke into my car! Drug test your employees, and don't accuse your customers of being a liar. For you to respond on this public forum, but not come out and take care of it at your hotel shows what a poor manager you are! DO NOT STAY HERE!

I stayed here two weeks ago and I accidentally forgot my silk pillowcase on our check out day. I called the hotel later that day telling them that I forgot my silk pillowcase and they said they were going to call me after they spoke with housekeeping. They never called so I reached out again the next day and the guy I spoke with told me they usually throw things that the guests have touched. I told him that it was a pink silk pillowcase and it was still attached to the pillow so how come they would throw it away? Like does it mean they throw every pillowcase that the guests have used? It was not making any sense. I told the guy that it was worth $100 and it’s a silk that’s why I needed to get it back. They told me they would call me back, but they never did. It’s frustrating to see how Griffintown hotel handle things when guests forgot something and it shouldn’t be that complicated. I’ve forgotten things at hotels before and this is the first time where I was told that they must’ve thrown it away! Clearly when things like this happens, it only means that GUESTS CANNOT TRUST THE HOUSEKEEPING IN THIS HOTEL. How can you trust a hotel to tidy up your room with all your belongings inside when you could easily lose something like a pillowcase? I gave them time just like they wanted and I even suggested they could ship it to me as I am catching my flight home 3 days after I checked out at their hotel. They never reached out to me since I called them last Oct 2. So if you’re staying in this hotel, I don’t know just be cautious knowing that you will definitely lose something if you ask for housekeeping! Definitely will not recommend this to anybody. There are plenty of hotels around so consider those instead!

I stayed here for three nights and my room was on the third floor across from active construction that began at 5am each day. Even without the construction, the room didn’t dampen the road noise. The hotel was clean and having a kitchen was nice. However there were no paper towels or basics like salt and pepper. The toilet paper was what you get at a pit toilet and the wrong size for a standard holder so it sat on the sink the entire time. The hotel build was also poorly done and there were multiple places where the drywall tape has cracked especially in the bathroom where there is more moisture. Finally… parking at $38 and more expensive than parking garages in downtown. An exploitation of this area not having great parking options. I don’t recommend staying here but the staff were extremely friendly and again, the room was clean. For the cost, you can stay somewhere nicer.

This is the worst hotel experience that I had in my entire life. Extremely long check in process (30 min) just with us, after waiting in a short line. Very rude staff (Anthony was not helpful at all). Completely unprofessional attitude. I extremely appalled by the level of service. This is such a shame. Customers beware. Read reviews carefully before booking. This is not the only negative review here.

Clean and modern hotel. Stayed here for one night and the room itself was great. The service, on the other hand, was spotty. Our room keys ceased to function two hours after check-in and it took two visits to the front desk to get it resolved, requiring a long wait in a short line. Furthermore, there were no extra sheets or blankets for the sofa bed, which necessitated three visits to the front desk over the span of six hours to finally get resolution. Busy tourist weekend in Montreal so slip-ups can happen, it's understandable. But for the price paid, it's not unreasonable to expect more prompt service. I'll still recommend this place to others but with a disclaimer.

I was shocked with how affordable the pricing was to stay for such a well located hotel in the heart of Montreal. Staying at the Hotel Griffintown allowed me to discover a part of Montreal I did not know. Now I am going there once a year. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately I had a last minute cancelation at another hotel chain, and Griffintown Hotel went above and beyond to accommodate my stay in Montreal. Beautiful view of the lower part of the city, the general manager Joanie really just made my experience easy. Will definitely come back when I’m in the city.

Beautiful hotel located a 25 min walk from old Montreal. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Safe underground parking available for an extra fee. Everything we could have asked for our weekend trip to Montreal. The room we booked has a full kitchen and dishes to use. Also a beautiful balcony and view of the city with glass walls.

For our first time in Montreal my sisters and I could not be more impressed with the service! Upon checking, Mariam was the warmest welcome! She gave us a list with local bars and restaurants to check out which was extremely helpful. Seeing her as we came in and out of the hotel was vey memorable and put a smile on our faces! Thank you Hotel Griffintown! Will be coming again as soon as possible!

Rooms - we were pleasently surprised by how well equipped the rooms were! It came with a fully equipped kitchen, washer with two detergent tablets, drier, iron, dishwasher with tablet, dishcloth and detergent...was almost like a home within a hotel! The beds were very comfortable, and air-conditioning was powerful. Everything was also super clean, almost like it had never been used. Service - whilst they were efficient, unfortunately we were a little disappointed at the reception we received. The receptionist said we looked tired which wasn't the best welcome, and then told us that they only speak in French which, whilst we appreciate this is the state's main language, we couldn't understand it enough to communicate effectively, and they did know English as they then switched to this when they realised themselves that communication was tricky! Location - this was great. The hotel is situated on the boarder of a really bougie district on Montréal with some lovely restaurants. Parking - Montréal has a problem with parking as it is, but considering we were paying for a room, charging $38 per night for underground parking is unjust. We ended up finding another underground parking lot just 2 minute walk away (Indigo) that was $20 a night and $8 on the weekend. Really inexcusable.

Super clean, great location...I feel really safe outside! Very chic feeling with a beautiful view of the downtown. Washer, dryer, fully stocked kitchen and beautiful shower Really happy with our first stay and night here. Only thing I wish was that the apartment came with a microwave. Would come again and the price is great.

We had a great time here. Rooms are spacious enough for our three toddlers to run around. Unfortunately the cleanliness was deceiving! My littles had black feet from running around on the floors and carpets in the room. Definitely not a place for bare feet or white socks. If you're going to stay here, don't forget a pairs of slippers (like I did)!

This hotel charges around $40 per day for parking in a garage that requires a key fob to drive into. Less than a day of my personal car being in their garage, it was stolen. The hotel did not offer any condolences, assistance or compensation. They instead made a point to tell me they were not liable. I guess we will see what the courts say about that. *update In response to the hotel’s reply to my above post, the hotel may have followed protocol, but that was unbeknownst to me. Further, reimbursing me for pre paid parking when I no longer had a car to park because it was stolen from your closed parking garage, is hardly a reconciliation effort. Where was the offer to help me find transportation to the police station or the impound lot? Or I don’t know, maybe back to the US where my car and I drove up from. Where was the offer to do anything that might help make my friends and I feel safe during the next 2 days we were at your hotel? And calling this “frustrating” is a vast understatement.

Even though there was no indication on Expedia, they told us that they don’t accept anything other than credit card for deposit. We fully paid before we came, and then they turned us away on the door. And when Expedia said that there was no indication on anywhere that they don’t accept anything other than credit card for the deposit, they told them “We have no legal obligation to say that.” Well, maybe no legal obligation, but people are coming from different cities and countries. You cannot expect people to know everything about hotels in Montreal, or yours in general. If you don’t inform people correctly, it is your obligation to solve the problem too. It was definitely badly handled. They gave us a refund, it was refundable anyways though.

It’s been two months since since my stay with them and I still haven’t received my deposit. They keep saying they don’t know why and a manager will reach out to me but that’s yet to happened. They’ve so called released it multiple times but yet I never received it, recently spoke to someone again after what seems like the 100th time and they said they’ll bring it up to the accountant and that was 3 days ago and still on one has reached out to me. Place is nice but unfortunately the service is terrible, I would not recommend it.

This hotel is lovely! My room was very clean and loved finding everything I needed in the kitchen. The staff is very friendly, my only concern is that I didn’t know I had to pay to bring my dog with me, but it is what it is. Also, me and my husband came for the weekend and their bar was closed that Saturday. Anyways, I highly recommend this place! 😌

Fairly convenient to downtown and a short walk from the train station this is a good choice for your visit to Montreal. The room is spacious and divides the sleeping space from a well equipped kitchen. The only missing component is the presence of a tuck shop or vending machine for the items you might like to have at short notice.

One of the best hotels to stay in Montreal with your pet. It was my first time bringing my family with our dog. The rooms were very cleaned, equipped with washer and dryer, the kitchen was fully equipped, blackout shades installed in our entire hotel room. I will definitely be returning back.

We had an amazing stay. The bed was comfortable, we loved the 2 balconies we had, the customer service was 10/10. They made us feel very comfortable and special. We will be back if we ever come back to Montreal!

One of my worst service experiences to date. When booking, ensure your room has blinds, not all rooms have them. And when requesting a change, don’t get an upgrade, you will have to pay. I was stunned by the lack of empathie showed by a specific team member. To be told that it’s normal not to have blinds is just beyond me. It was an esacalation of multiple issues that made me leave 2 days early. I sent an email detailing all my complaints …. 24 hours and no reply. I loved this place and one person ruined it for me.

Took a staycation, and this hotel was the best choice! The view is amazing, the customer service is GREAT! They were very fast to come and help me figure out the oven top. Great bakeries and coffee shops near by. I definetily recommend it!

Impeccable service & beautiful rooms, fresh, luxurious, practical with breathtaking views. Love everything about it. I want to give a special shoutout to Mara and her team for also being involved in their community and giving back to families in need. I was very touched by your generosity and how quickly you came on board and wanted to do your part. Thank you for being wholesome.

We stayed there for almost five months waiting for our condo to be repaired following water damage. We had a furnished appartment with everything we needed to comfortably live there for such a long time. The staff at the reception desk is great, and especially the weekend staff and Meriam who goes out of her way to help. Thank you, we almost felt at home!!

Feel worried as we brought our doggies to Montreal, and they are accustomed to having fresh meat for their breakfast and dinner. Griffintown hotel is just a few minutes walk to Metro Plus, we are so happy with that. Additionally, they provided all utensils I needed. Room is tidy and clean, everything is just right! We love it! Thanks Griffintown hotel and we will come back😍

Modern, clean rooms, feels like coming home! Our room had a great kitchen. We rented a car and were able to park it in the underground garage for $25 a night. The location is great—near the city but not in center of it. We stayed here for 4 nights. There may be noise from construction in the area but it didn’t bother us too much as we were out most of the day. The desk staff was very helpful, providing Nespresso pods every day when we asked and other items we needed.

Didn't actually stay. Had to cancel because we got sick; missed cancelling by 1 hour and they still charged me $1500. Very rude to deal with and extremely unprofessional. Would never deal with them again!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time enjoying the gorgeous city views and excellent customer service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Very clean, well decorated, comfortable and functional. Anything we needed was addressed promptly and everyone at the hotel made us feel like we were at home. The apartment experience really makes this better than a traditional hotel and airbnb can't beat the customer service even before the pandemic. Can't wait for our next trip to Montreal so we can visit again. Thank you for an awesome trip!

A cross between an Airbnb and a hotel. Nice place to stay in Montreal. Additional costs are a bit expensive where parking is $38 a night and house keeping is $40 a day if you need it. But the staff is very friendly and the rooms are well furnished. The room is a bit small but is laid out in a way that makes it feel larger than it is. Definitely nicer than a standard hotel and I plan to stay here again next time I'm in Montreal.

Super Friendly staff, every question that I have, he answered it. This is an apartment with everything you will need, microwave, oven, fridge, utensils, dishes, etc. Neat apartment. In my opinion I really feel like I was at home, cozy place, we watched some TV at night and the couch was comfy. They also have a bar inside the hotel and parking for $38 per night. This hotel is located 15 mik walking distance from Centre Bell.

The reception was really polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the neighbourhood was quiet and close to almost everything. The only thing I complain about is that we were two people staying for three nights and the dishwasher and laundry pods, tissue, and shampoos were only enough for a day for one person.

Been coming here back and forth for about a year, the rooms are really good and staff are amazing. There was a slight issue today, but management took care of it within half hour! Great hotel, highly recommend it.

The worst service experience, I walked in to check-in, and the “front desk” person (a darker-skinned man in his mid or late-30s, wish I would know his name) refused to help. I was told to contact a third party company to be able to check in and the front desk man had such a disrespectful attitude, for no reason. I tried asking a few questions to have a better understanding of the situation but he was annoyed and seemed angry to be doing his job. (He was literally singing the music playing in the lobby trying to ignore us as we were talking to him trying to check in) People who are this unhappy and unprofessional in the workplace should resign as simple as that. So sad that this was my very first stop in Canada from the airport, I’ve always been told Canadians are nice and respectful people, hopefully, that is true and this is not the norm.
