We’ve been living in the island for 2.5 years now and I cannot believe I’ve never been in this store. This is truly a little gem in the island. I’m blown away by the size and the vast selection of goods they carry! The outside does not reflect the awesomeness of the inside of this store. They carry everything under the sun (except food) from hardware to cleaning supplies to electrical items to plants to children’s toys and even soil and terra cotta pots! I got a bicycle pump 😅 Their little selection of small furnitures are exquisite. The throw pillows they have are so pretty. Whoever did the purchasing for this store is doing a great job. Bonus: I could even get my CO2 refill for our SodaStream! Everything I used to get from Downtown, I can find them here. What a great pleasure to have been in this store. If you have not been here, this place is worth the visit and I think it’s hard to leave with an empty hand. P/S: I agree with the other reviewers, some items are slightly more expensive than other stores downtown, but it’s a price to pay if you don’t want to travel out of the island. E.g.: Sodastream 60L Carbonator is $37.99 (before tax) here and Staples/CT/BureauEnGros are selling it for $34.99 (before tax), so it’s 8.6% ($3) more at this store.

The reception from a woman is kind of rude and at least impolite. No, I won’t recommend you to go this shop.

We dropped into High since we were on Ile des soeurs. Hogg always have different lines to other stores but I always find their stores a little strange in terms of organization. There can be pleasant surprises. We left with a doormat so no surprises today

Quaint and lovely corner hardware store. I always end up getting a little candle or something lovely with my plumbing or electrical needs, makes for an eclectic basket! They also have so many items that surprise me such as cranium game board which I had been looking for in more traditional gaming stores

Not your typical big box store. It has a local community vibe. You can't get 2 x 4's there but a last minute gift for a kids birthday party is the place to go on the island. The selection of baskets and candles is impressive. Plus you can always get your eco friendly paint for your next project.

Very nice and cute! You can find almost everything in a relatively small place, from painting stuff and tools, to plates, and even toys!

I think this store probably has all the usual hardware stuff you would need on regular basis at home. I was happy to see the collection they had, because I could just walk there instead of going outside the island, to Canadian tire. And plus a helpful (bilingual) staff.

They are just so nice people. Local feeling, local touch. Might be a tiny more expensive than big block chains but so close from home, you save time and gaz, plus you get smiles! No brainer!

This is what, I assume, a general store would have looked like. Service is awesome. Will definitely go back.

Don't know why they call it a hardware store.

Hogg is my favorite hardware store because they carry a variety of items you'll not find at other superstores. They have lesser known brands and the yard tools they sell is built sturdy and rugged. If there is any home repair item you are looking for, chances are they have it.

Great selection of products for the house such as dishes, decorations, cleaning supplies, games for kids. They have fair prices.

Love this place, always helpful and nice, plus they have a small but cute selection of home decor and accessories. I always want to buy everything when I go there! Unfortunately, some items are overpriced if compared to what you can find online, enhance why I removed 1 star but overall, I'm extremely satisfied.

👍 This is a good shop for finding french books, gifts, games, puzzles, and decor. Nice just to browse and items on sale are very competitively priced. This location is open a bit later than most bookstores, so that's also a plus.
