Nice cruise port. We took an excursion into the historic colonial city of Santo Domingo, which is the oldest European settlement anywhere in the entire Western Hemisphere. Highly recommend this tour. As for this port, we did some shopping in the open air market and in one of the stores. There's a pool here and several bars. I enjoyed this port day.

This was a great port. It was HOT as the devil this day - easily over 100 degrees with the real feel. The initial entrance into a big duty free shopping area was clean and full of helpful employees. There was tons of little carts set up with samples of coffee and liquor. I feel like I was at Sam’s Club or Costco! The cranked AC was a nice relief from the heat. Once we left there, we went into the main enclosed port area that was sealed off from the surrounding town. It was full of shops with friendly employees and shop owners. I never felt bombarded by the employees and we were even able to barter with one shop for an item. The pool area looked nice but we did not participate as we were badly burnt. There were a few restaurants and bars nearby as well. This was a nice right off the ship place if you weren’t doing an excursion. I felt completely safe here.

Since we had limited time in Port this was a great place to hang out by a very modern pool with a swim at bar plenty of good music and plenty of laundry chairs right next to the boat, lots of shopping and things that you can do all within this area

La Romana cruise terminal is so nice. It's always kept clean. There are many spots to explore here. It's always safe to be with someone. There will be so many travel agents outside the termito canvas you for a ride to the tourist spots. Please check the genuine and always fix a good price before you take the ride. There might be scammers or fraud agents . Be safe on your own. Enjoy the city .

A lovely little port with an outdoor market. I bought some jewelry & the kids had fresh churros. Beautiful crafts from paintings to lawn ornaments can be found. There is a restaurant if you'd prefer lunch off the ship. There is also a large pool area which is free overlooking the ocean. I enjoyed this quick port stop. Don't miss it.

Great to have the possibility to check in for your flight directly at the cruise terminal and to spend time at the nice pool
