A great resataurant, nice and helpfull Staff, real ligurian cuisines. I saw many places and I can rate Osteria Da Bartali with maximum 5 stars.

Perfect! Food was excellent, service was superb... we really enjoyed our lunch here and would definitely recommend it!

Serious problems with both the food and the service. We got a basket of (cut) focaccia which was really old and dry; asked for fresh one to which first we got the answer that it is actually fresh and then we were told that actually in Liguria this is the preferred way of making/serving it. Three people ordered spaghetti alle vongole. Instead of bringing three separate plates of the aforementioned, the waiter served one big plate so that the guys can divide it among them. The thing is: this was not known, nor was it mentioned. Matter of fact no one was happy about it. Again: "this is how do in Liguria", so we asked him to serve the pasta equally. Turns out the amount of pasta was simply insufficient. Let's face it: it was good for two. Also it was way dry, only 3-4 vongole were served per plate and the vongole were not cleaned properly as we found sand on the plates. Guess this is the way the locals are eating? Since you cannot show any criticism towards the place we just asked for the bill. The waiter was kind enough to add two plates of pasta to the bill..

Best seafood I've ever had, so fresh! The seafood with tomato stew is the highlight of simple and delicious Italian cuisine. The pesto pasta is also very nice and the beef carpaccio was a favourite of my husband's. Would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are also very nice. We came here for lunch today and are intending to go back for dinner. Highlight of our trip!

Best ever dinning restaurant that I had during italy trip.. they provides good customer service, comfy ambiance and most importantly are delicious food with reasonable price! Marvellous.. Note: please make reservations one day before as they are always fully booked.

Service comes from their heart :) We enterred this lovely place at their closing time to make a reservation for the next evening. It was my birthday so I asked where I could find a nice tiramissu :) In a couple of minutes the lights turned off and I got the "tanti auguri" song acapela from the most lovely Italian crew of three, and the candles on the sweetest tiramissu I've tried! Needless to say that the food was absolutely delicious - when you visit make sure to try the pasta frutti di mare, the carpacio, the octopus and of course the tiramissu! You will not regret it :) Very unique decoration with artistic details on the plates and glasses, happy music, happy people. Grazie mille for making it an unforgettable, unexpected birthday experience. We will be always coming back :)

Just showed up at this restaurant 10 min ago, 40 min before the closure. The waitress lied to me telling that 2 empty tables were booked. Feeling awful after driving for 4 hours, hungry, tired, just to be lied in my face and be denied of the service with the ‘most sincere’ smile. I would have preferred an honest answer ‘40 min is not enough to serve you’ than this lie.

If you are ever in La Spezia, this restaurant is most definitely a must try! We were super lucky to get a table a few hours prior because the restaurant was packed, and walk-ins were turned away. Not only is the food impeccable, the servers were all very friendly and approachable and we had such a great experience! We ordered the paccheri calamari e olive, and boy was it a treat for the taste buds. And that is saying something, because I usually shy away from tomato-based dishes. The sauce was the perfect level of saltiness, and you can actually taste the sea. Yes, it was that flavorful. The polpo was absolutely delightful as well, lightly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The tiramisu is also a must try, we have been travelling around Italy and so far this is the best that we’ve had! The cream is so creamy and fresh but lightly sweet, and that combined with the special crispy bits… heavenly.

Great food. I really enjoyed my spaghetti al frutti di mare. The fritto misto was also very good. And finally a good tiramisu. I am surprised at how most Italian restaurants can’t make a good tiramisu, but this one is excellent.

We were absolutely amazed by this restaurant! Haven’t had such a good meal in a long time! Even though we had to wait for a bit to get a table, they made sure we were looked after while waiting! Once we got a table, the service was impeccable, the restaurant had a wonderful drill - everything working perfectly. We chose for the primi the seafood spaghetti and the pesto pasta - explosion in our mouths! Wonderful flavors, complementing to perfection! I will think about the spaghetti dish for a very long time! 🤤🤤 As a secondi, we shared the tuna with herbs : wow! Perfectly cooked - juicy but also dry enough - hard to explain! And to make sure we have the full on experience we ordered the tiramisu and the millefoglie. The tiramisu was too sweet for our taste, not having enough coffee, but the millefoglie - amazing! 🤩 If I’d live here I would keep on coming back and make sure to bring all my friends along!

Delicious food and excelent staff! The owner of the restaurant and the person who took care of us were the best (greetings from Poland). It was a pleasure to meet you :) Pro tip: make a reservation, in the other way you have to wait in the queue (but it’s 100% worth it)

Good cooking. Ate all of the generous portion of Triofe pesto it was so delicious plus a plate of fritto misto (the kindly swapped out the anchovies I didn’t want for extra prawn). Solid cooking, good atmosphere and service, always busy so book ahead

Be sure to reserve a table! You can't miss this amazing restaurant in LA Spezia. They sat us at a wonderful table and made great suggestions. Everything was amazing and as a foodie, I HIGHLY recommend this jewel of an Osteria.

Greatly overrated. We had great expectations. The evaluation from TripAdvisor was great and it was recommended to us by our host from Airbnb. We tried to go there before, but we needed a reservation, so we waited for 2 days. We asked for a 6 dish starters (very few food and the codfish was dreadful) and after, we asked for 4 different main dishes. The food was OK but nothing special. The owner was being simpathic and nice to other costumers, but unfortunately not to us (without reason). Everyone else deserved a welcome drink, except for us (we never complained). I asked if he had Wi-Fi and the answer was a straight yes but he never made the password available. I can say without any doubt that it was our worse dining experience in 4 days in LA Spezia.

Great location for us, always fond of restaurants with small menus and heavily biased towards seafood. All freshly made (you can see into the kitchen) and the portions, whilst not super large, are filling. The guy who runs the place knows what he is doing and is a superb host. The place is immaculately clean and I would recommend advance booking even if not for Friday or Saturday night as the locale is small.

Wow. Definitely worth the 5 stars. Fresh, tasty. Everything was delicious, and special attention to the stellar pastas.

Great place for lunch. We ordered seafood pasta and tuna steak - everything was very tasty. The steak is breaded, which I usually don't like at all, but this one was great! In combination with Vermentino, lunch cost us 40 eur only. Reservation is recommended.

The best fish we’ve ever had! Top quality and great service. We’ll come back for sure whenever we’re back in La Spezia.
