Nice little location! Tent camped for the weekend of 8/19-8/21 in a very nice, shady spot. Grounds are well kept, staff very friendly, store had all you needed, all the guests respected the quiet hours, and the pool was very nice! The moon rises from the upper tent camp area were just spectacular! I am a KOA member an we will stay here again. Only downside: the bathroom counters and sinks were very clean, but the showers and floors were filthy. The same clumps of hair and dead cockroaches were in one of the shower stalls for our entire stay which seems to indicate they are not being regularly cleaned. Be sure you're wearing footwear here. I hope they put some lounge chairs in the pool area. There were only standard chairs which are not very comfortable for relaxing.

I read several poor evaluations, but it was perfect for our needs. We had a pull thru for our 39 ft coach w/tow, full hook up & it was quick & easy in & out. We were at the very front of the grounds, and spaces were close and right next to the road. Would not want to be in that location more than overnight. But we did walk through the grounds, over a bridge/small creek, up a little hill & there was quite a bit of space for a nice walk w/o leaving their campground. Several more hookups (not sure if full or partial) in a low area that looked like it could be wet if it rained. Also a couple cabins and lots of tent spaces up the hill on flat land. It was quite pretty, very quiet and again, perfect for our needs. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Sorry no pictures.

Just got home from our stay here! We had an amazing time! I took my 12 year old daughter and her friend and they had a blast! I rented a deluxe cabin and it was just perfect! The grounds were immaculate, pool was sparkling clean and the hosts were great! The kids enjoyed fishing in the creek, swimming and bonding around the campfire! The on-site store was an added bonus and had pretty much anything you could need! 5 stars all around! We will definitely be back!

Awful facilities. Crammed in the corner of the property. Next RV is approx 8-10' away from our front door. When we sat at our picnic table all me and my kids could smell was the neighbors smoking since they're picnic table was less than six feet from ours. Absolutely no where to park our second vehicle. Truck sat in the road for several hours. Spoke to hosts about so issues and literally walked away with absolutely nothing changed. For a KOA, the worst I've ever seen in any region in the country. If your ever in this area, keep driving!!

I came with my family. We had a great stay in our pop-up camper. Very clean and well-maintained grounds. Restrooms and showers were top-notch. Staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyable little campground to stay. Enjoyed the pool on the hot days. Close to Starved Rock. Quiet at night and mornings. Had a nice family feel to the whole place. Will definitely be back.

We love this KOA. We have primarily used it as an overnight stay to/from home. It has been so peaceful and quiet each time we have stayed. All the folks who worked are super friendly and helpful. Great slots all throughout the grounds…we haven’t had a spot yet we wouldn’t mind having again! Lots of room to walk your furry friends and just relax! We will continue to utilize the LaSalle/Peru KOA during our travels.

Stayed here in the cabin with a bathroom. It's a little crowded so not the best place if you prioritize seclusion. However the cabin and general area was clean and mostly quietly. Quiet times enforced and very close to nearby nature parks. There's also nearby stores if any additional supplies are needed.

We were greeted upon arrival and checked in without delay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again and request the exact same cabin next time! We stayed in Cabin 4 (secluded behind a hillside), this cabin was awesome! There is a tree canopy that completely protected us from the rain and allowed us to keep our fire going while eating smores! The cabin itself was clean and just the right side for my family of four. There were even brand new port-a-potties near (but not grossly close) to our cabin. Overall awesome experience!

We stayed in Cabin #4 at the top of the hill. During our stay we were the only people up there so we had lots of room to throw a football. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. The temperature adjustment knob was broken on the AC unit so it was either ice cold or hot and humid in there though. We made the best of it with extra sleeping bags. Restrooms and showers were extremely clean. We will stay here again.

We’ve stayed here a few times now and love the convenience of its location. The staff are always friendly & helpful. Lots of space to walk our fur babies. There is a pool & bath house, we’ve never used them, but both are always being used by other campers and seems like folks are enjoying them.

This is such a clean and fun campground! Close to I-80, yet seems in the middle of the woods. Eagles and woodpeckers, also turkeys & cows are cruising around. The owners and staff are so kind and welcoming. It's really a must to stay and relax. Malls are close, and little towns. Something for everyone. Enjoy!

This medium sized park is well managed and maintained. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. They have full hook up sites, water/electric only, tent sites, and cabins set in an area with large trees. The very clean bathhouse is up to date with notable shower heads and good pressure. The nice clean pool is a bonus. The park is surrounded by farmland.

Rude people, and no where to park. Your camping literally right on top of the person next to you. The pool was gross, and not clean. Hair and bugs everywhere.

Nice, clean and quite place to stop on your way through. Bathrooms were modern and clean as well. Tent camp sites were large. There is a pool, washer & dryer and a small camp store.

Admittedly, I am a very picky person but cannot find one bad thing to say. I have stayed several times since they first met my expectations. The bathrooms/showers are EXTREMELY clean. That is a huge thing when I camp. Some places leave you feeling gross after using the facilities, but not here. The environment is quaint and the owners were very flexible when I needed to alter my accommodations. Will be visiting often!!

Very nice small KOA. If you want quiet, this is for you. In the middle of country farmland. Close to the interstate, but you can't hear it. Nice showers and bathrooms.

Nice quiet spot in country. The well water is very brown and smelly so bring your own bottled. . Pool looked nice.

Very pleasant, nice and quite campground. It’s located in a very natural surrounding with a little creek. The bathrooms are very clean and well operated, like the campground in general. The friendly host helped us out with some grocery from her own storage. We definitely recommend this campground.

My 1st stop on my way out west. This is small campground (used to be a KOA) but it's still a nice place and far enough away from the freeway that you don't get any of that noise. If you're traveling and need a place to stay, give it a try, you won't be disappointed!!

Linda was so kind! Very accommodating to last minute travelers. Site was very clean, organized and charming. Bathrooms were also clean. First time "camping" so I'm hoping the next stops will have this level of quality!

Entry appears 'junky'.Sites in reasonable condition. Our site was up in the front and close to other sites and the road.We were fine with it for a couple nights.Did not go in office or other facilities so not fair to make any judgement. Staff was efficient and friendly. Will with old other judgement due to altered conditions due to Covid.

I can't say enough good things about this KOA. We were having tire issues and the hosts opened their garage for my husband to work on it. It was also a clean facility with a great atmosphere.

Is this your definition of good scenery or lots of space in your site? Not mine..

Nice place to visit. Has a pool, clean bathrooms including showers. If it rains some sites get muddy. Has fire rings and tables on each site.

I love it here! My favorite part is when the cows moo. There is a fenced in dog area. It is quiet here. The people working here seem to genuinely love it. The bathrooms are clean. The grounds are clean. There are cute cabins. I 80 is easy to access, but far enough away that you don't hear road noise. It's close to Starved Rock. There are coves with mature trees to tuck a tent in. There are primitave camping sites as well as full hook up. The camp area has nice hills and few bridges as well as streams to wander around.

Excellent camping site! The bathrooms are really clean, especially now with this Pandemic. Electric hookups AND running water at the site made our lives much easier. It is very close to the park (unfortunately the park was closed, so we'll have to be back!).

I loved this campground. Beautiful peaceful country surroundings. One of my top favorites. Lovely morning walk on a quiet country road. Babbling brook, cows, birds, fields and beautiful farms. I enjoyed it so much. I hope we stay here again on our way back from Alaska this fall.

We are essential workers/travelers, I called to make reservations. I left a message and they never called back. I called again and they said that we can only stay 1 night. Very disappointed.

Nice location out in the country. Quiet with lots of trees. We were in site 12 and the water pressure was low, sometimes shutting down to a dribble in the middle of a shower, which shut down our tankless water heater. In addition, the water smelled and tasted of metal. It was so strong that we had to go to the store and purchase bottled water to drink. We were there two nights and when we got to the next park we had to scrub out the orange color coating our shower and sinks. I'm guessing this meant the metal smell was iron? Would have been a pleasant stay if it weren't for the water situation.

This is a great place to camp if you are looking to spend some time around Starved Rock without staying there. This campsite is close by and has great camping options. Many camping spots are in the shade and separated from other campers.

  • 4/5 Roger w. 4 years ago on Google
Sites for the most part are groomed,as are the roads, the tent camping area is away from the rest, have a decent amount of cabins, shower heads are unique in that they are the rain shower type. But the shower/bathrooms are cold due to exhaust fans an cracked open windows, also the units are to close together.

This is a beautiful little park, one of my favorites so far. Nice nice people, shady, quiet, lovely grove for my morning walk with Freckles and a bubbly small stream running through. We chose it for its location along our I-80 trip, along with easily accessible conveniences. Highly recommend.

😠 Our stay was cut short without us even asking for a refund, because we could not cope with the dusty roads and had enough. I couldn't sit outside because every time a car came by our site the dust covered us up. Even a work camper flew down the road on a utility vehicle creating a huge cloud of dust...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Nice weekend of camping. Staff was friendly very nice clean public restrooms. One lane and one way roads I never had any issues.
