We
were
in
the
area
for
the
LaSalle
Christmas
lights,
and
stopped
here
on
our
way
home.
The
exterior
of
the
restaurant
itself
is
larger,
but
unassuming.
Once
you
walk
in,
you'll
see
the
common
color
schemes
you
would
expect
in
a
casual
Mexican
restaurant.
Service
was
fast
and
friendly,
but
the
signs
posting
the
3.5%
credit
card
fee
are
numerous.
The
food
itself
was
authentic
and
done
in
a
rustic,
and
plentiful
way.
I
had
the
bistec
a
la
mexicana,
which
I
found
to
be
very
flavorful.
My
critiques
would
be
that
I
wish
there
were
more
jalapenos
and
the
sauce
was
just
a
bit
thicker.
Side
from
that,
I
couldn't
have
asked
for
more.
I
recommend
starting
with
the
tamal
appetizer,
4
full
sized
tamales
to
get
your
appetite
warmed
up.
Definitely
will
stop
again
if
the
opportunity
arises.
