Magnifique vue

The Col des Pitons is the highest point of the southern Mont Salève ridge, located in Savoy, France, southeast of Geneva. While the northern "Grand Salève" is more famous for its panoramas, the ridge road reaches its peak altitude here. Although this section is mostly forested and offers fewer views than the spectacular northern viewpoints, which feature vistas of the Jura, Lake Geneva, and Mont Blanc, it remains a key ascent for cyclists. Routes to the Summit: > From the South: Direct ascent from Cruseilles. > From the West/East: Routes from Collonges-sous-Salève or La Muraz first cross the Col de la Croisette, which separates the Grand Salève from the Col des Pitons. >From the North: Access is also possible via the ridge road, though it is not typically categorized as a separate climb.
