Beautiful location adjacent the harbour of Yvoire. Super friendly and professional service who were very attentive. The food surpassed expectations, presented beautifully and excellent quality. The name and theme did make us consider if we did want to go there as to us suggested a more lower end restaurant but it is definitely not that. We really enjoyed our Saturday afternoon lunch with good wine - thank you 🙏

Very good, very friendly service. The white wine we ordered (in pichets) was excellent. Only bad note: nothing really catering to vegans :-( I had the entrée salad expanded to a main course.

Yvoire is a beautiful Medieval village perched on the French side of Lake Lehman (Lake Geneva, to us Brits). There are restaurants in the middle of the village and a few at the water’s edge. Le Pirate is next to the lake and the best thing about it is the view / as the sun goes down. Unfortunately, it felt like one of those places that reserves its second rate service for tourists. The waiter was a pain - grumbling when I had to remind him to bring water for the table - and generally not taking us seriously. The food was OK but over-priced - my wife’s steak was over-cooked (a rare occurrence in France!). The wine was over-priced too. A real shame. Imagine how good the place could be if they really cared. Avoid.
