Gumbad Park Delhi is a small but beautiful park that houses a historical monument from the 15th century. The park is located on the Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, near the Lado Sarai crossing. The monument is a dome-like structure, called the Gumbad, which was built during the reign of Sikandar Lodi, the ruler of the Delhi Sultanate. The Gumbad is not a tomb, but a gateway to a mosque or a walled enclosure. It has blue-glazed tiles around the dome and intricate latticework inside. The park is surrounded by lush trees and has a serene atmosphere. It is a good place to visit for history lovers, nature enthusiasts, and photographers. Gumbad Park Delhi is a hidden gem that showcases the architectural brilliance of the Lodi era. It is a peaceful and relaxing spot in the busy city, where one can enjoy the beauty of nature and history. It is a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience a different side of Delhi

The Gumbad Park Tomb is a tomb of unknown persons dating from the Lodi Dynasty era. The building very very similar to other Lodi tombs being square in plan parapets and walls embellished with geometric designs and topped with a single large dome surrounded by smaller domes. The tomb is located in Gumbad Park and it’s on the way to and from Saket metro station when I was visiting Qutub Minar. Not a must see, especially if you’ve seen other Lodi era tombs in Lodhi park, but and interesting diversion.

It is a very small park but has a good ambience. People come here to chit chat, walk, worship tree, exercise. Children also play here. No entry charge.
